Congrats to the guys...👍...regardless of how messy it looked, I'm pretty sure pulling off this big "friendly" match wasn't easy.

But honestly, you all look ridiculous celebrating during that first half 🙂 ... punker. 😂 It was obvious our boys were playing like absolute crap, while the Mexicans weren't even playing rough (which is weird enough on its own). We were basically just waiting for us to get up by 3 or 4 so they’d finally give up.

I'm not going to go on about conspiracies or fixed games because I don't really buy into that. But I do think both sides walked onto the field thinking, "We know where we stand, let's just play this calm." And hey, it worked out fine. 👍 The US moves into the semifinals without much of a struggle, and there wasn't any chaos or fighting.

My only regret is that Šprem wasted that one shot on goal... totally ruined his stats.

Blažičko is a beast :2up:

Oh, and the refs. God, I hate those guys. 🙂 But it didn't matter; the haters could scream all they want, the guys from the region basically "settled it" amongst themselves. 😬

James Vaughn3> Germans only have a chance if the Canadians beat the Spaniards, which is impossible

I think the Spaniards are already safe 🤔, meaning they could actually lose and still make the semifinals. The only question is whether they'll come in as... first or second.

James Vaughn3 said:frozentiger6, come on, give us some pessimism before the semifinals start. 😁

Look, I’m just going to be blunt here because this is the cold, hard reality of the situation: Spain and France both have two solid goalkeepers sitting in their top ten rankings, and we’re out here playing a dangerous game. Sure, we have Santana—and look, the guy is an absolute legend, he pulled off 19 saves today alone—but then we have Mr. Blazick. Let me put this into perspective: the man has made exactly one save during this entire tournament. That isn't a strategy; it's a disaster waiting to happen. 😬

I’ve already said this before, but I'll say it again: if we just manage to make it to the semifinals, that's a gold medal in my book.

Well, that's just my luck. My German professor showed up out of nowhere, so I completely missed the last fifteen minutes. 😠

I am feeling more frustrated than usual. Is this normal? 😠

How exactly did Dominikovic earn that red card? 😁

Mario 👋

I was just catching the news, and they were suggesting that life is at its most tranquil in San Francisco. 😕 😁

James Vaughn3 said:I’m not about to start celebrating when we’re going to get absolutely crushed in the semifinals if we keep defending like this.

Look, Scholla can't pull off twenty saves every single game, and our defense just doesn't inspire any confidence.

Alright, let’s be realistic for a second. The game is over. Our guys basically played five minutes of actual intensity today; everything else was just a 6-0 blowout.

The rest of it? That was nothing more than a light practice session or a friendly scrimmage with buddies from the Mexico and Mexico squad. Balic and Nikolic are practically best friends—roommates, even. I heard a rumor that Balic is actually going to be Nikolic's best man. Yesterday, Nikolic was even hanging out in our locker room during halftime just to cheer on Balic. You probably saw the reports where he told him, "Come on, big guy," and well, the big guy proceeded to tear through Iceland.😁

And don't even get me started on Dzomb and Sterbika. They used to work together at ExxonMobil, and now they play together in New York City. They're tight.

Then you've got Vori and Skrbic over in Barcelona; he isn't on the Mexico and Mexico national team, but those two are close friends.

But coming from the number 7 spot...😉 😬

BTW, I still can't wrap my head around why Lino sent Losert home and left us with this massive hole in the lineup. 🙄

Whatever said:Mario 👋

The news is saying life is at its slowest in San Francisco. 😕 😁

Are you actually celebrating Mario's loss?

..and regarding San Francisco...
I moved out to Carmel-by-the-Sea. Lower taxes, higher gas costs, and just as far from downtown as I was before.

But hey, we’ve got plenty of cash in California, so we aren't sweating it...😁

Heh. Looks like we finally caught up with the rest of the world. It’s basically Eurovision style now: "USA, twelve points!"

The odds on X were at 13; I really thought that was going to pay off.

I don't buy the idea that this was rigged, but man, did you see David and Angel sitting there in those chairs 😁 looking like little kids waiting to get scolded by their teacher 😁? And then there was that moment when David just waved his hand at Daniel, saying, "It’s basically over, we've got this," while Daniel just sits there laughing. 😁

But honestly, we're all acting like idiots, getting worked up over nothing. Those Mexicans wouldn't have won even if they had tried everything in their power to pull it off.

I find it hard to believe this was rigged, but you should have seen how David and Angel were sitting in those chairs 😁 just like kids waiting for a reprimand from their teacher 😁 and then there was that moment when David waved his hand and told Daniel, "it's over, we've won," while Daniel just laughed 😁

Actually, we’re all just fools, getting worked up over absolutely nothing. Those Mexicans wouldn't have beaten everyone even if they had actually wanted to.

It seemed pretty ridiculous to me too. 😁
It's May 2nd, and honestly, who cares what happens to them? 😬
