Does anyone happen to know where I might actually track down this movie? Every single person I've asked—and I mean everyone—either has no clue what it is or has never even heard of it.
It’s honestly one of my absolute favorites, but it’s nowhere to be found—not in any video rental spots, not online, just... gone.😕
The cast includes Johnny Depp, Juliette Lewis, and Leonardo DiCaprio... (yeah, Leo plays Depp's brother with some developmental delays)
I'm really hoping to just find a DVD and buy it.

That movie tape is just sitting there in some dusty, damp video rental store basement, tucked away in a box labeled "old movies we haven't tossed yet." If you’re actually serious about buying it, what’s stopping you from just heading over to Amazon where it's only six bucks?

In America, he was totally misrepresented by a CNN movie.
You can still grab it on DVD if you want.

Good. Beautiful. Sad.

If you're talking about that Lasse Hallström flick starring Johnny Depp.

...can the moderator please troubling in the title be changed to eating? That way we can all just live happily ever after 🙂 thanks (not that it matters, I'm just nitpicking here...😁)

Since we’re being total nitpickers here, we might as well change "what is" to "what's," given that's actually the original movie title... 🙄
...

I finally sat down to watch it a few weeks back, and honestly? It’s easily one of the best films I've seen all year... even if I am about 13 years behind the curve on this one...

There isn't a single scene that feels forced or overacted, which is rare. After a little while, you kind of forget you're even watching a movie...
Johnny Depp is fantastic, and the supporting cast is top-tier too... and Leonardo DiCaprio... 😲 he delivers an absolutely incredible performance... 🙏

Seriously, such a great film... 👍

Man, what a masterpiece! Honestly, after watching that, I went on a total binge of everything starring Johnny Depp, and I rarely missed a winner. I also dove into most of Leonardo DiCaprio's filmography, and for the most part, he didn't let me down either!

A total masterpiece.

Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio were both incredible, though I think Leo stole the show—honestly, he should have taken home the Oscar for this one. Probably his best work yet, right up there with his performance in Basketball Journal.

Arthur Anderson49 said:Great movie. Ever since then, I’ve watched pretty much everything with Johnny Depp and usually made good choices. Same with Leonardo DiCaprio—mostly solid picks too.

I'm with you on that... 😬

though Leonardo DiCaprio definitely earned himself an Oscar for that one...

Fantastic movie! 👍 Johnny Depp was incredible, as per usual. But Leonardo DiCaprio? He actually caught me off guard... I haven't been able to stand him since that pathetic performance in Titanic. Now, I have to admit, he was pure genius here... 🙏 (I'm assuming I wasn't the only one staring wide-eyed at that sinking ship back in the day)
Even though I checked out Basketball Journal and thought it was solid, Gilbert Grape is definitely the superior film...
Hats off to them.😁

khm... so, I used to be a huuuuge Leonardo DiCaprio fan (I was only 13 when Titanic hit theaters)🙈 I've always wanted to see it... I could never catch it on TV (did it even air?), and back when I was looking for it at those little local video rental spots (like years ago)...

It hasn't crossed my mind in ages, and then suddenly everyone's bringing it up again... anyway, can someone point me toward where I can stream it?

I absolutely adore that movie

It stands out as one of the most stunning films I’ve ever experienced—not just because of those breathtakingly beautiful shots of the landscapes in 🙂, but also because of how the characters are portrayed with such genuine care and gentleness 😍

I never even said it was mine. It's just a tribute to one of the biggest trolls on Jack's account—supposedly yours, asshole 🙂
