Yeah, which makes that pink Cadillac of ours look a whole lot better. 😁

But honestly... that soldier guy just has the most incredible dialogue ever written.
Highway: Just so we're clear, I'm mean, I'm nasty, and I am exhausted. I eat concertina wire for breakfast, I piss napalm, and I could put a round through a flea's backside from three hundred yards away. So how about you go bother someone else, you little punk, before I give you a reason to stay down.

What is the deal with Fire Fox? That whole "think Russian" focus feature is absolute garbage.🙏 😁
Anyway, my top 10 Clint films as director:
1 Mystic River
2 Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
3 Unforgiven
4 Bird
5 Honytonk man (boldscout72, this one was practically made for you)
6 Absolute Power
7 The Gauntlet
8 The Outlaw Josey Wales
9 Million Dollar Baby
10 Heartbreak Ridge🙏 😎
I should probably mention that the best police buddy movie next to the untouchable 48 Hours is The Rookie.😎

Man, I have to say—I am just such a huge fan of old-school Clint. For me, Honytonk man is practically a religion... an absolute staple. And honestly? Those others you listed aren't half bad either. Except for Million Dollar Baby. That one was just... tedious. 🙂

I have been suffering at work all day—mostly because I am strictly forbidden from getting too deep into movies during office hours.😢
Here we are.
My top 6 favorites that roughly fall within this year:
1. Dear Wendy (Thomas Vinterberg) —absolutely gorgeous, truly stunning, just beautiful. 😍
2-6. 2046, Trauma (Marc Evans), Tony Takitani (Jun Ichikawa), Mysterious Skin (Gregg Araki), Broken Flowers (Jim Jarmusch)
The top 6 older films that became dear to me this year.
1. Berlin: Symphony of a Great City (Walter Ruttmann, 1927)
2. Nói Albínói (Dagur Kári, 2003)
3. It's All About Love (Thomas Vinterberg, 2003)
4. Postcards from the Future: The Chuck Palahniuk Documentary (Joshua Chaplinsky, Kevin Kolsch, 2003)
5. L'Appartement (Gilles Mimouni, 1997)—this moved up after Wicker Park fell off the list.
6. Kes (Ken Loach, 1969)
The most important category—the top 6 films I have watched most frequently this year.
1. Jojo in the Stars (Marc Crasté, 2003) 😍 😍
2. Vincent (Tim Burton, 1982) —honestly, I find myself watching the first two every single day.
3. Fritz the Cat (Ralph Bakshi, 1972)
4. Sword in the Stone (Wolfgang Reitherman, 1963)
5. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (Tom Stoppard, 1990)
6. Catch-22 (Mike Nichols, 1970)
(Hmm, I seem to watch a lot of nothing but short films and these eccentric pieces...)
Top 2 films that everyone here raves about, yet I simply cannot understand the appeal... 1. Million Dollar Baby 2. Sideways😕

Good grief—it’s not like I can just easily track down movies like those
I haven't actually seen any of the ones mentioned, especially considering I don't even own a TV... I wouldn't call myself a cinephile either; I mostly just watch whatever my neighbor happens to be broadcasting.

Me and Waterfall have watched Vincent countless times this year. Just us, together.😍

Well, at least you finally realized it wasn't doing you any favors.😁
#432 ·
I didn't even get a look at myself—they told me it would look worse but somehow more striking, and my mom and my little sister’s college roommate thought it looked great... and then they just went ahead and shaved me bald.😁

Sandra Chase16 said:They told me it’s worse, but more attractive.
... and just like that, the long-standing mantra from those shady online forums—that things are always better when they're broken—has finally bled into reality. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Here’s a little something for the girl of your dreams 🤮
My top 5 absolute worst movies of the year:
1. That one flick, Everything You Know About Me
2. That weird indie short from the animation festival—you know, the one everyone was walking out of? (Actually, it was the only one I actually walked out of)
3. Iceberg (which somehow actually managed to snag an award at the Tribeca Film Festival)
4. Elektra
5. Kingdom of Heaven (seriously, Ridley Scott... what were you thinking?)

Man, I’m genuinely starting to worry about you guys... 😬
#436 ·
It is really nothing to worry about
One of my dear friends used to spend his time watching teen comedies with his buddy—you know the drill: you’d just make some sandwiches, grab a Coke, sprawl out on the couch, and binge-watch *The Prince*

2. That one from the Sundance Film Festival—I honestly don't know what everyone was rushing out to see, but it was the only screening I actually walked out of.
Wait, are you talking about Corpus Callosum?
🙂
Because, personally, watching that movie felt like some kind of profound, supernatural experience for me—in a good way!

oktopod said:My current top 3 favorite internet personalities:
1. Pet — mostly because she shares my taste in music—plus, she keeps tabs on me while I'm grabbing a beer outside, and even though we've never actually met, I have to admit... I kind of enjoy the voyeurism.
2. silverwolf45 — quite simply, because she’s the only true indie icon left on this board.
3. Abyss — because they worship Satan and the depths of hell, which—if you ask me—only serves to prove my theories about the existence of a good God.
🤣
Well, I suppose I deserve this when I don't check the forum often enough to catch all these glowing tributes to my character and achievements.
The definitive list of the best posts on this entire forum:
1. That post by oktopod where he ranked me as the #2 favorite female user after only a handful of posts.
2. All those future posts from everyone else here, where they eventually rank me near the very top of their own lists of favorite users.😵 😁

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
I’m pretty sure that one came out last year too, but honestly, who cares? It’s still a classic. 👍
Otherwise (quoting some random guy) Sin City was also a total standout for me. 🙂
