David Sullivan4 said:I started eating healthy, for real. No more fast food, no burgers, no tacos, no greasy bakeries, no hot dogs... Last night I was up until 11 PM cooking veggies and making Greek salads. It’s not going well.
Don't even get me started. I cut my food intake by 70 percent. No late-night snacking after 6 PM, no more McDonald's or other junk food. I'm dying. Maybe just one more week left in me...
Sandra Chase16 said:Do you know if that Green Balloon sandwich shop still exists, near the Jelenovac bakery over on Vineyard? That happy hour they had from 9 to 10 PM where sandwiches were half off was amazing.
All I know in that area is some sketchy burger joint I've never actually stepped foot in. Is that the place? If so, it's still there. Honestly, businesses in that neighborhood survive when they should have gone under years ago. Take Haro Pizza, for example. I've never eaten there, never seen anyone eat there, yet it's been around as long as I can remember. At least 25 years. Unbelievable...

Generally speaking, businesses in that neighborhood survive purely out of spite; they stay open when they should have folded everywhere else. Take Pizza Hut—well, not the chain, just that local spot—I’ve never eaten there, nor have I ever seen a soul dining inside, yet that place has been standing since before I can remember. We’re talking at least 25 years. It’s honestly incredible.
This situation was actually slightly worse regarding the hospital area—right past the pharmacy, there used to be these mediocre sandwich shops. It is entirely possible that's why they went under.

Sandra Chase16 said:The situation at the hospital was even worse—after they left the pharmacy, there were these questionable, half-baked sandwiches involved; that might be why it fell through.
No, it’s still an issue.

Ugh, please don't start talking about cycling... I've been telling myself I'll finally pick up a new bike for two years now, but ever since that nasty little accident with the curling iron 😬

I haven't either—not yet.😁
So, what kind of ride are you actually looking for?

True enough... some idiot in a minivan smashed my headlight and bumper 😠 , so you can imagine what's left of my bike 😁 . I ended up doing this weird half-flip and landed right on the roof of her car. Miraculously, I walked away without a single scratch 😲

Is it really that weird? 😁People always give me such strange looks whenever I use those terms.

stressee said:that reminds me of those Mountain Dews you had yesterday—I actually had three sitting in my fridge
Man, I once got a massive stomach ache from drinking too much Mountain Dew😲
Honestly, that car looks just like a shark to me🤔

Can I suck on Pearls Before Swine before then? Might end up looking like a total 🙂Rat

Shark 🙂

Yeah, well—I assume you all have BMWs plastered on your faces? 😕 Where on earth do you people even grow up? 😬

brightridge19 said:Yeah, and I guess you think BMWs look like they belong on your face too? 😕 Where on earth do you people find them? 😬
A BMW looks like... well, a BMW.

Sandra Chase16 said:it probably went south because of the hospital area—right past the pharmacy, there were some pretty sketchy sandwiches involved, so that might be why it tanked.
I’m betting it failed, especially since I know half the stuff wasn't even running for a huge chunk of last year, and honestly, I haven't bothered checking since then.
I'm heading out later today, so I'll go take a look myself since it's right near my place.

Has anyone else been walking through downtown lately? I’m really hoping City Kebab is still open.
Hands down the best spot for a kebab in New York City or even further out. It’s got that perfect vibe for the guys—you eat your meal, and suddenly you're wondering if your girlfriend is heading off to Italy because she's questioning your character.
