It doesn't happen to me all that often, but over the last two months, I’d say it’s hit me about three times now.
Usually, it’s this perfect storm where I’m hungry, running on zero sleep, and I really need to find a restroom.
Everything is going fine, then out of nowhere, in less than half a second, my head starts spinning so violently it feels completely unnatural.
The world just starts tilting and spinning more intensely than if I’d stepped off a carnival ride, and I end up stumbling around, trying to grab onto a wall or something just to stay upright because maintaining any kind of balance becomes impossible when the vertigo hits that hard.
At the same time, I realize I’m suddenly flushing and feeling incredibly hot.
Closing my eyes actually makes it worse... though after about five seconds of the world whirling around, I try to shut them tight and focus on deep breathing just to dull the sensation.
Once the spinning finally subsides, there's still this lingering, heavy sense of unease in my head 😢
Most of the time, that feeling won't truly lift until I’ve managed to get some decent sleep.
I honestly can't figure out what's causing my 😕
