I step away for a few hours and you guys immediately start diving into your worst childhood traumas... specifically about PE class! Honestly, I was such a delinquent back in high school that I actually forged a professor's signature on my transcript just so it wouldn't look like I skipped class (though it didn't even matter since I failed the year anyway). But hey, it wasn't all bad news, I've got a little something for you:

Here’s my top list of gym class activities where I actually crushed it (unless we're counting throwing chemical flasks at the ceiling just to catch them on the rebound):

1. Free throws

The only time I actually broke a sweat was back in gym class, dealing with those insane obstacle courses, pull-up bars, shuttle runs, and all that other nonsense—stuff like handstands and forward rolls that some lunatic definitely dreamed up just to make us suffer. In high school, I played some soccer, and now in college, I’m mostly just into ping-pong.

1. Physics

I could handle math, but physics and chemistry? Should be illegal. 😁

Honestly, the absolute peak of my high school education was when our music teacher actually played Cage and Stockhausen. 😎

I could deal with math all day, but honestly, physics and chemistry should probably be outlawed by now. 😁

The absolute peak of my high school education was when our music teacher actually played Cage and Stockhausen for us. 😎

Our English teacher used to play Guns N' Roses and "November Rain," while our American history teacher would put on "Albatross" by Fleetwood.

Heh, back during spring break, everyone from the English wing would crowd into the classroom. If someone started blasting Pantera or Bodycount, the whole floor would stop to listen 🙂. Ah, those were the days 😎

Anyway, my top 5 subjects:

1. English (since I always pulled an A on every test without spending a single second studying)
2. Geography
3. History
4. Music Theory
5. Sociology

I could have survived math just fine, but physics and chemistry? Honestly, they should be illegal. 😁

Honestly, the absolute peak of my high school education was when our music teacher would ditch the curriculum just to blast Cage and Stockhausen. 😎

It really depends on what kind of teacher you had. For us, our physics professor was like some mad scientist; he spent the entire term running wild experiments in class. And chemistry? We had lab sessions two semesters in a row just trying to cook up various recreational substances. 😁

what do you mean by "letting it play"? where, how, or even why would you...? 😁

all I can remember is this one English teacher back in school who once brought in the lyrics to "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2 just so we could all try singing along together, and honestly, every single time that song comes on, it just takes me right back to that old band I used to be in during my community college classes... 😍

She played that track for us while we were grinding through some Baudelaire. Turns out his poem is actually called "Albatross" too.

If she was going to play music, she might as well have put on some PiLtd.🙂

Man... she could’ve gone with "oh Well" instead. 😁

Climbing the rope.
And that pure, unadulterated panic I felt for about five years straight once the teacher decided they were actually going to grade us on that devilish thing. Eventually, I realized I could actually do it—provided someone else was down there holding the damn end. 😲 😁

Even those six minutes felt like an eternity...

Man, I just realized it now. Yeah, everyone used to gossip about that stuff all over town.
Kids being kids, I guess... ☕

True, though everything feels wonderful right up until the moment you're forced to belt out "Bastasse una Canzone" in Italian. 🙂
Or, you know, having to endure the gym teacher taking aim at you with a massive ring of keys... right in the most sensitive spot imaginable. 😁

I’ve honestly never had any trouble with that. To be fair, I’ve just never been able to actually get up on the rope in the first place 😁

Mrtva_mrkva said:My absolute least favorite PE drills:

1. Planks (my personal record—one second!! 😍)
2. Shot put (haha, maybe three feet if I'm lucky)
3. Volleyball serves (either I miss the ball entirely, or I hit it, my fingers ache, and it barely clears the net)
4. Those monkey bars... just no.
5. The obstacle course where you had to crawl through holes; I would have gotten stuck.😬

The only thing I actually liked was jumping over the hurdles. 🙂

Things we absolutely need for survival that haven't been invented yet (consider this an open call for innovation):

1. That one machine every student is dying for—you strap it to your head while you sleep, and it downloads an entire history textbook directly into your brain overnight. 🙏
2. A teleporter.
3. A device that brushes your teeth for you without you even feeling it; saves me from trekking to the bathroom when I'm half-dead from exhaustion.
4. A machine that does the tooth brushing AND handles putting in my contacts in the morning and taking them out at night, so I can finally ditch the glasses.
5. An automated desk organizer that cleans up my workspace by itself.

Top ten Miše Kovač hits—if we’re being honest:
01. Dalmatia in My Eyes
05. Everyone Is Singing, But I Can't Hear Them
06. I Have No More Reasons to Live

...honestly, those were all valid reasons for one person's hospitalization... Between the surgeries, the psychiatric wards... 😬
