I don't know... they feel a bit like cemetery trees. Is that your musical background talking? 😬

Carol Jackson45 said:Dust, specifically that earthy dust kicked up from a dirt road.
Pine resin.
Cypress.
The scent of salt hanging in the air.
The smell of summer rain. Or a sudden afternoon thunderstorm.

🤣

As soon as a little rain hits the pavement in Chicago, everything changes 😁

There's something about contradictory scents—things that smell pungent while they're being prepared, but result in something beautiful once finished:

1. breakfast sausage
2. stuffed cabbage rolls
3. salt cod

hehe, not really—I never really went for all that whole Satan and forest stuff
😁
I just think cypress trees are pretty, I guess. I actually had one in my yard that I loved until my grumpy grandpa chopped it down because the roots were taking over everything (the tree, not my grandpa).

Here is a list of my favorite movies that I used to watch on loop while getting ready for school back when I was just a little kid:
the Goonies
The Wizard of Oz
Soldier,
Calamity Jane find
Let's meet in St. Louis and I absolutely love all of them...
but honestly, I just cannot stand The Sound of Music... no... the first thirty times were tolerable, but I simply couldn't take any more😲 :itakoodskakućepjevajući-do a deer a female deer... :

1. Brown boots on women, with the pants tucked in—obviously—I just really hope we don't see an epidemic of that over here 🙂
2. Deep V-necks on guys' tees—man, someone like Neven C. would be so proud... thank God it finally cooled down a bit...
3. Using a canvas tote instead of a real bag—it’s giving off a certain "indie hipster" vibe for the guys, I guess 😁
4. Tucking pants into Converse (???) or maybe tying them to your leg with long shoelaces—you know, like those Spandex straps—wouldn't that give the whole look some rocker edge? :slap:
5. I think I forgot to mention the brown boots, didn't I?

yum😍

dmj said:Hmmmm... nobody mentioned the whole family of scents that totally blow everything else out of the water: oil, gasoline, heating oil...

GASOLINE🙏
man, you have no idea how much easier it makes cleaning the windshield at the Shell station😁

dmj said:Let me throw in a scent that has absolutely nothing to do with cars: sherry with lemon mixed in.

sherry with rum mixed in. from this very specific orange metal pot. hand-beaten with some kind of wooden pestle by my grandma... 😘 who can't really do anything with her hands anymore.

another random smell:
the smell of (my) freshly aired out or just straight up sleepy and groggy dog

Where on earth were you living last winter? 🤔

Wait—weren't those fuzzy, shaggy boots—whatever they're called—the big trend in Miami last winter? 😕 Maybe I was just hibernating or something...

It felt like every other woman had her pants tucked right into her boots—and half of them were just plain brown 🙂
only really the bold, alternative types like Anne Frank would ever be caught dead in those fuzzy boots 😁

I totally blanked on the absolute worst fashion crime ever—you don't see them much on the street anymore, but they used to clog up every single aisle of every H&M out there (and man, those stores are on literally every corner in America!):

Those little girls' tees, you know, the black ones with a picture and the name THE Clash printed on them...😱
And then there was that other version with the Misfits logo too...

Honestly, those kinds of shirts are the peak of stupidity—mostly because the people wearing them usually have zero clue what the slogan actually means.

I spotted this guy at a beach resort this summer (go figure 😁) who looked the part: perfectly gelled hair, a single earring, trendy distressed denim, and nice leather sandals. But then he’s rocking this incredibly tight tank top with a Union Jack on the front and "never mind the bollocks" plastered across the back. 😂

My buddy and I were losing it; we couldn't stop laughing for a solid hour. 🤣

I actually drafted a total chauvinistic list of women's clothing items—and stuff that isn't even really clothes—just a few hours ago. 😁 But the forum was acting up, so I just gave up on it. Whatever... 🙄

It's a bummer. 🙂 Honestly, I'm just not feeling it anymore.
