Nike "borrows" album art

That’s all well and good, but even the most basic Adidas kicks look incredible compared to those monstrosities... honestly, Reebok is in a league of its own when it comes to pure tackiness—they’ve mastered the art of being hideous 🤮

The reality is, plenty of these skate brands pull in serious cash making decent shoes, even if they are based here in the States 🙄

I really ought to say something in defense of the locals, but I think I’ll pass since nobody’s paying me to take their side. 😁 Sure, Adidas and some of those other skate brands aren't half bad, but I haven't found anything that actually fits my feet, so they might as well have the coolest designs in the world for all the good it does me.

I’ve got those Jimmy Connors Nikes, and they’re great. But I also have a huge collection of skater shoes, which honestly look even better. Still, nothing beats my patriotic ones. 😁

I used to be a huge fan of Nike, probably owned about seven or eight pairs over the years, but by the late nineties, they just became incredibly ugly and soulless.
Converse are cool, sure, but I’d never buy them again—they are just plain uncomfortable, damn it!
Lately, I’ve been sticking with Skechers because I like the vibe, even if the durability is basically zero.

For instance, Trail of Dead. Clair de Lune.

Converse are pretty flimsy; they basically fall apart the second you start putting real work in.
If we're talking about *actually* solid skate shoes, you gotta look at Element, Nike, or Globe, maybe even ES... but definitely stay away from Converse.😁 😎

I’ve got six pairs of Converse and not a single one has fallen apart on me. I ride my bike and play soccer in some of them, so I definitely put them through the wringer. But the only pair of Globe shoes I ever owned fell apart almost immediately. Converse rules!!! 😁

I honestly don't know if Converse has stepped up their game in the last five or six years (though I'm skeptical), but back in the day, they were pretty much the absolute worst among skate brands... I managed to totally wreck a few pairs in just a month or two. Granted, that was from skating, but I've even trashed some just by walking around in them.
That kind of thing never happened with any of the other brands I mentioned earlier.

Actually, why am I even chiming in? I've got skate shoes pretty similar to Robin Booth's, except I wear a size 13, so I end up looking like a total Stormtrooper in them.😁
