Question:

I just topped up my DraftKings account using my Visa card without any issues. Now, I'm trying to do the exact same thing with the same card, and it’s getting rejected. Has anyone else run into this? How do you fix it? It's just a standard checking account...

How long does it usually take for the cash to actually show up in my DraftKings balance once it leaves my checking account?

If you're moving money into a foreign currency account at JP Morgan Chase, I’d say expect maybe 3 to 4 business days... I can't speak for your specific situation, though. But honestly, I'd probably plan for something in that same ballpark.

Man, I had to sit around for three whole weeks—and send three separate emails—just to get a measly $30 payout sent to my Chase account. I needed that cash urgently, too. Honestly, once I realized they were dragging their feet, I just pulled my money from FanDuel instead; it hit my account in like three minutes. I only stayed in limbo with these guys to see just how long it would actually take... If you don't mind waiting forever for your own money, sure, they have decent odds. Sometimes their margins on Asian Handicap Betting or Over/Under are actually pretty solid, and they're only a few percentage points behind FanDuel in terms of value. But look, if you already have an account with FanDuel, why even bother with 10Bet??

Does anyone have any bright ideas on what I should do next? I’ve got about 20 bucks sitting on my debit card, and I really want to move it over to my Moneybookers account. The problem is, DraftKings blocked me from using my card because I messed up the verification—I entered the wrong amount three times since I was messing around with different currencies, and I totally blew it. I guess I'm wondering if there's some kind of workaround... maybe I could deposit that cash into a sportsbook first and then try to withdraw it to Moneybookers? Or does that won't work since I didn't fund the initial deposit through MB? Any clever tricks or advice? 🙂

So, here’s the deal—I’m on the hunt for a really solid online sportsbook that actually knows what they're doing when it comes to soccer. I need a place with a massive variety of leagues to choose from, and I'm looking for all the bells and whistles: over/under markets, Asian Handicap betting, standard handicaps, and obviously the classic moneyline options. It’s also huge for me to find decent odds, lightning-fast deposits and withdrawals, and most importantly, a site that doesn't hit you with those ridiculous restrictions, like capping a single bet at something tiny like $30. I also need actual, helpful customer service that won't leave me hanging. If anyone has some recommendations, please let me know... and just one more thing, please don't suggest BetMGM or FanDuel.

I’ve been hearing some pretty discouraging stuff lately about Bet365—mostly people complaining about how slow the payouts can be or how they immediately start slashing your limits the second you actually hit a decent winning streak. It’s enough to make anyone hesitate. I was wondering if anyone here has had any real experience using William Hill, Caesars Sportsbook, or Dimes? I’ve heard through the grapevine that those guys might be a bit more reliable when things are going well.

Look, I’ve used Caesars Sportsbook before. They aren't terrible, but let's be real—their odds can't touch Bet365 (unless you're looking at maybe an Asian Handicap here and there). As for Bet365, I haven't run into any issues personally. I've heard the same horror stories, sure, but since I mostly stick to singles and my wins rarely top $250 per ticket, it's hard for them to justify limiting me anytime soon. But honestly? That’s just how the game works with basically every online sportsbook out there—whether it's DraftKings or BetMGM, or even the big guys like DraftKings and the rest of the crew... once you start making real money, they come for you. When that happens (and let's face it, it eventually will), I'll just move my business to whoever is still willing to take my action. There's always FanDuel and Bet365 waiting in the wings...😉

Walter Edwards Asks:
Bet365 😉

I wouldn't recommend using Bet365 at all. I have had some incredibly poor experiences with them personally, and if my experience is anything to go by, I am certainly not the only one who feels this way.http://svijetkladjenja.com/forum/index.php?topic=279.0)

I suppose I would say that BetMGM is a fairly decent and reliable sportsbook. My only real grievance is that they don't seem to offer extremely deep markets or extensive breakdowns for every single league out there. However, their odds are generally quite reasonable, so if you mostly focus on the major leagues, they should probably meet your requirements just fine.
I suppose there might be some value in looking through the information provided over at BetMGM, though I can't say for certain if it's the most efficient way to go about things. It seems like they have quite a bit laid out on their site, which I guess could be helpful depending on what exactly someone is searching for. Maybe it’s worth a look if you have the time to sit down and really parse through the details, but I suspect it might take a bit more effort than one would initially expect. It feels like a rather thorough collection of data, I suppose, even if it does feel a little overwhelming at first glance. Perhaps it could serve a purpose for those who prefer a more methodical approach to their research.

I suppose I should mention that DraftKings isn't quite as bad as some people like to claim. I’ve been placing my bets with them for over three years now, and honestly, I haven't run into a single issue—not once. It might be true that their tennis odds are a bit lower than what you'll find elsewhere, but they seem to make up for it with an excellent overall selection and really solid live betting options. They also tend to offer frequent bonuses, like birthday perks or promotions every few months or so. Most importantly, if they happen to mess up an odd, they don't just cancel your bet like Bet365 does; instead, they actually take responsibility for the mistake and ensure your winnings are paid out properly.
I remember back last year, I placed a bet for about $300 on Real Madrid to clinch the championship. It was just one week before the season ended, and they had finally jumped into first place. At that point, the odds for them winning the title should have been around 1.15, since a win would have essentially guaranteed them the trophy. However, it seems like the bookies completely forgot to update the outright winner odds, so the price was still sitting at something like 1.90—which was what it had been several weeks prior. I guess it was a bit of a lucky break for me, because they actually honored the bet and paid me out in full. Even though they adjusted the odds to 1.12 about twenty minutes after I placed my wager, I had already locked in that 1.90 price. I suppose thank goodness they aren't some kind of scammers who try to retroactively cancel bets just because they realized they made a mistake... they just let it slide.

If you are looking to explore the current offerings over at DraftKings, I suppose you might find their sportsbook interface quite comprehensive. It seems to cover a vast array of markets, though one might need to navigate through several layers to find specific niche events. I guess it is worth a look if you are seeking variety, although I tend to be somewhat cautious when evaluating how different platforms structure their odds. Perhaps it could serve your needs, depending on what exactly you are searching for in terms of betting options.

Avoid chasing those massive odds discrepancies at the sportsbooks. They’ll almost always just void your bet and claim it was an obvious "palpable error." It happens all too often—they wait until you lose the wager, then suddenly decide the bet stands after all...
In my experience, there have been a few times where they actually had the decency to email me before kickoff to say it was a mistake and they were canceling the bet. But let's be real, you can't always catch those emails in time.

Bet365 isn't just leagues ahead of DraftKings (and look, even they trip up sometimes)—they aren't even playing the same sport. For instance, if you check out Bookmaker.com, Bet365 is sitting pretty with a solid 4+ rating:

http://www.bookmakersreview.com/Revi...tsbook/Bet365/

meanwhile, DraftKings is stuck on the blacklist:

http://www.bookmakersreview.com/Orange_list/

with the whole "slow payouts, terrible customer service" headache.

I've been bouncing between both for years now, and there's really no comparison... DraftKings might have a slightly deeper bench when it comes to those weird, obscure leagues nobody's heard of—and sure, their live betting is decent—but everything else? It’s a landslide for Bet365. And don't even get me started on the odds, which are obviously much better.

DraftKings

Bet365

Take a close look at that "profit margin" table—the juice, if you want to be technical. DraftKings is taking a 7.1% cut, while Bet365 only takes 5.5%.

Personally, I think BetMGM is a notch below Bet365, especially when it comes to how they set their lines, but hey, that's subjective and not worth an argument. Besides, driftingraven53 already asked about avoiding BetMGM and FanDuel.

For anyone obsessed with live betting, I'd suggest looking into some Asian Handicap Betting options—they tend to be way more welcoming to Americans. I'd personally point you toward IBCB or Bet365.

I decided to share this story here because:
a) there might be some useful advice to be found
b) it involves an online sportsbook (BetMGM)

So, here’s the deal. I put a little bit of pocket change into BetMGM and played around for a while, mostly just out of curiosity and to kill some time during the late fall and winter when things tend to get pretty slow and I don't have much to do. Eventually, it occurred to me to see how I could actually get my money back into my own account. I opened a foreign currency account at my bank (JP Morgan Chase), grabbed my IBAN, SWIFT code, and all that good stuff, did everything required on the BetMGM site, and waited (we're talking about 10 bucks). This was toward the end of 2007. A couple of weeks passed, and I completely forgot about it. It only crossed my mind again when I was paying bills online and noticed I had this foreign currency account sitting there—I wondered why I even had it in the first place. Then it all came rushing back, but the balance was zero.
I sent a message to the bank, and they told me to get in touch with a specific lady at the branch. I gave her a call, and she tells me, "Yeah, that $10 arrived. We tried calling your cell, but the number provided doesn't exist." Well, yeah, because I hadn't used that number in a year and a half.😵
Some more time went by, and still, no sign of the cash.

Finally, I messaged the bank asking where my money went. They claimed they had sent it back, so I contacted BetMGM, and they told me they didn't see any funds—suggesting my bank probably swallowed the whole amount in transaction fees.

So, I sent a follow-up to the bank asking if they had indeed charged any fees, and this was the response I got:

Dear Customer,

After checking with our foreign exchange department, we received information that the refund was processed on January 22, 2008, and completed successfully. Regarding the timeframe, it usually takes about 10 days, but it can take longer because we make every possible effort to contact the client. JP Morgan Chase has not charged any fees, so we kindly ask you to try obtaining further information from the sender.

Your JP Morgan Chase

I forwarded that right over to BetMGM and got this reply:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for following up. We received notice from the bank that the refund was never received, which suggests the funds are currently sitting in an unallocated account at your bank. Please insist that your bank checks their records for the funds in your account.

Now, I've sent both of these messages back to the bank and am waiting for a response. This has turned into such a ridiculous saga that reading through this back-and-forth feels worth the $10 itself.

The lesson for anyone planning to withdraw money from an online sportsbook like this:
When you change your phone number, make sure you tell your bank! 🧐 🙂

My bank just sent over a fax confirming that they’ve processed the refund I scanned and sent over to BetMGM. Now, I'm just sitting tight and waiting to hear back from them. 🙂 ☕

Stay far away from 10bet—they’re a total disaster. Slow payouts, random bet cancellations, constant mistakes with their odds... just a mess.

Not to brag, but I've been in this game long enough to know the landscape of these sportsbooks we're talking about. The top tier? Definitely DraftKings, Bet365, and FanDuel. There are others worth checking out too (if you're playing for high stakes, I'd suggest William Hill or FanDuel), but those are the heavy hitters.

Since betting is both my passion and my business, you can find everything on these books (plus a ton of others), all the bonus info, etc., over at the site I co-own (again, not bragging) 😁

Not to toot my own horn, but I've been working in this industry for quite a while now, so I'm pretty familiar with all the sportsbooks you guys are discussing. In my experience, the gold standard would be DraftKings, Bet365, or even places like FanDuel and BetMGM. There are a few other solid options too, though if you're looking to place some serious high-stakes wagers, I’d suggest checking out William Hill or FanDuel.

Since betting is both my passion and my profession, you can find deep dives into all these books (plus a whole bunch of others) and how their bonuses work over on the site I co-own—again, just being honest here 😁

Since you've been around the block for so long, could you tell me which sportsbooks besides FanDuel and DraftKings actually offer lines for the US Second Division soccer league?

Well, DraftKings and FanDuel do have those leagues, but their limits are pretty tiny—they’ll cap you at maybe $20 or $30 per bet.
10bet is honestly a mess; they have these ridiculous limits of just $4 or $5 on certain leagues and sports. I really don't get why they even bother listing them if most of their coverage comes with a $4 to $20 ceiling. I think they only offer decent stakes on big derby matches in major leagues where everyone knows the outcome, but for everything else, the limits are a disaster. Plus, getting your money out is slow.
Bet365 isn't a bad book until they hit you with limits. Once they spot a playing style they don't like, they'll tighten the screws on you. That’s exactly how I ended up in the red there after about two months of betting—I got limited because I was hitting high-stakes singles, and suddenly my max bet dropped to $5 or $10.
DraftKings also moves pretty fast to limit successful or "suspicious" players, though otherwise, I don't have much to complain about.
DraftKings is actually one of the better ones—huge league selection and you can place high stakes on almost anything. My only gripe is that transfers from moneybookers to the account don't always land instantly; sometimes it takes 2 or 3 hours. Payouts take about 5 days.
BetMGM is also a very solid sportsbook, similar to DraftKings, just without that delay I mentioned earlier.
BetMGM is a bit lower tier than the previous two, but still a decent option. Their deposit limits are lower than DraftKings or BetMGM, and sometimes they’ll only accept part of your bet and put the rest "under review," meaning you have to wait for approval before the match starts. Approval usually comes through before kickoff, though. The variety is great, and payouts take 1-2 days.
FanDuel is an excellent book. They update their odds faster than anyone else, and their opening lines are usually the highest you'll find. Word is they don't limit winning players—at least, I haven't heard of anyone being restricted there yet. You're mostly stuck with singles, and for some leagues, the limits are lower than other books, but they offer some niche handicap markets you won't find anywhere else. They mostly use Asian Handicaps with margins set near 1.95/1.95, which fits my betting style perfectly. It's probably not the best spot for casual recreational bettors, though. Payouts are super fast, usually within a few hours.
DraftKings—so far, I haven't had any issues with them, though I've only been using them for about 6 months. I did hear stories about people having trouble in the past, but I think things have improved lately; payouts became way faster about a year ago after a lot of complaints. They have a massive selection of leagues and markets, making them a useful tool for me. They supposedly limit stakes quickly, but I haven't run into that personally, even though I've been riding a significant winning streak. I'm pretty sure they've ironed out their old kinks.
FanDuel hits winners with limits pretty fast. They have lower deposit limits right out of the gate, but they can offer some really good odds.
FanDuel is quite good with high limits, though they tend to move their odds slowly. Very wide range of options.
BetMGM's main drawback is how slow they move their lines, plus the low limits and how quickly they restrict successful players.
FanDuel is basically the same as BetMGM.
Betsson is just like the previous two, only with even tighter deposit limits.

So, here is my ranking:
1. FanDuel
2. BetMGM
3. DraftKings
4. BetMGM
5. FanDuel
6. DraftKings
7. Bet365
8. FanDuel
9. BetMGM
10. Betsson
11. 10bet
12. DraftKings

This list is based strictly on what works for my specific style of play. If I were just a casual player betting small amounts for fun, this whole list would look completely different! I haven't tried enough of the others or used them long enough to give a real opinion, but I've heard good things about 188bet, Caesars Sportsbook, and Ladbrokes.

Like Betty Thompson26 said, DraftKings and FanDuel have the US Second Division available, but those leagues are pretty sketchy, so most sportsbooks don't even bother listing them. Once we're fully integrated into the European Union, you can expect more books to carry the 2nd Division, mostly just because market regulations will be tighter.

If you’re looking for a solid way to compare odds across different sportsbooks, this is a great spot! You can check out various leagues and sports all in one place—though, just a heads-up, some bookies hide their specific lines unless you actually sign up for an account. It’s super helpful for seeing which sportsbook is covering which league, especially since some places only drop their lines on the actual day of the game. Besides the standard moneyline, they also list Asian handicaps, point spreads, and over/under totals.
http://hot-odds.com This one is my go-to for tracking movement. If you click on "all games," you can see exactly how the odds are trending—whether they're climbing or dropping for specific matchups.
http://betexplorer.com
You can find similar data here too, including those crucial odds trends, but I’ve noticed the updates are a bit sluggish compared to the first site. While oddsoddsodds seems to refresh almost instantly—like, maybe 5 to 10 minutes after a sportsbook changes their numbers—this one takes its sweet time.
