And here I was thinking this thread was about women showing up to the gym in full glam, haha... but instead, we're talking about posers

I haven't really spent much time inside a gym myself, though... but I certainly know what happens outside those big fitness centers that have indoor courts attached. You've got these guys, all decked out in makeup, just idling on their motorcycles or parked by their trucks, sipping on some energy drink... and of course, the mandatory uniform is a tight t-shirt. Ideally, the tighter, the better. Honestly, even Spider-Man would be impressed by how much those tiny shirts are struggling to hold it together.

Anyway, let's get back to the actual topic: ladies who show up to a sweaty workout session looking like they're ready for a gala 😁

Look, I don't know what they're on. But they have no definition. They just look rubbery. You only look like that if you've pumped up a ton of muscle in a really short amount of time.
What else would it be if not creatine? And those aren't even real muscles. If you want quality muscle, you actually have to put in the work.

maybe you should go read a book about how creatine actually works... then you wouldn't be spewing this garbage

creatine isn't some "magic potion" that suddenly grants you massive amounts of muscle
even if you dump "tons" of it into your system🙄

Look, I actually put in the work and read everything I could find online about creatine. I didn't say anything wrong. Creatine is essentially just a catalyst. On its own, it won't do squat. But when you combine it with protein and a solid workout routine? It works. Big time. There.

My neighbor is actually super petite—and honestly, she doesn't look anything like this in real life. She’s just a regular girl... this photo is
pre-competition and she's totally shredded.

Have you even ever taken it?

Creatine is great for beginners, or people who haven't been hitting the gym for very long.
It isn't some magic pill, but it's a solid motivator because if you take it right, you'll see progress.
Not miracle gains, just enough to keep you going.
And you don't even need extra protein to make it work.

Are you really going to try and claim that Maja Miokovic is overbuilt? She was just on Fox with Sanja the other day, and I’m telling you right now, everyone I know who saw her absolutely lost their minds. 🙂

What’s the big deal here?

This is what a guy can look like:

And here’s a shot of Arnia 😁

Can a woman even look like that?🙄

As for the first post, I’m also sick of the gym posers.
It drives me crazy seeing guys who just wander
around the floor waving their arms around like they're actually working out.

Well, even that guy doesn't look fascinating—more like a total eyesore, really—but hey, to each their own.

Yeah, you forgot to mention

Here is what a man can actually look like:

to add:

... all thanks to a heavy dose of horse hormones and other "chemicals."

You should see me. I look like Rocky. Old blue tracksuits, beat-up sneakers, an undershirt (I have new ones, but these are just skin-colored😁. I'm about as interesting as food poisoning. Totally invisible. And honestly, that's better. I just mind my own business—get in, grind for an hour or ninety minutes, and get the hell out of there.

I hate the gym anyway, but I love that feeling after 🙂

Don't speak on things you don't understand. Pro bodybuilders aren't using "horse hormones"; they're using substances that are standard medical treatments, just misused in the context of competitive bodybuilding.
First off, go do some actual research online on what Winstrol, Deca Durabolin, Dianabol, and testosterone are actually used for... then come back to this forum and show us what you've learned.

George Bailey2,

I am no expert in this field, though I possess some knowledge.

Please do not suggest that human growth hormone alone can build that much muscle.

Messing around with hormones often ends tragically—it is easy to make a mistake, and death comes quickly. Even those who survive are left with lasting health issues.

Look, I’m no expert, but I know enough to talk sense here.

Don't even try to tell me that human growth hormone can build that kind of muscle mass.

Messing around with hormones usually ends in a disaster—it's incredibly easy to screw up, things go south fast, and even if you survive, you're left with permanent health issues.

Of course GH can build those muscles. Growth hormone is more powerful than any other anabolic steroid out there—we're talking Dianabol, Anadrol, Parabolan—it's even stronger than testosterone. Every pro bodybuilder (and more athletes these days, just look at Marion Jones) builds their entire AAS cycle around growth hormone.
And as for the dangers of GH and AAS, they aren't nearly as bad as you think. Besides, when was the last time you actually heard about someone dying from AAS?

Well, I can say that I am aware of certain instances where individuals barely survived the irresponsible use of steroids and other 'chemicals.'

After all, why not ask any doctor what they think about playing around with one's hormonal system?

If someone still insists on packing on muscle mass this way, they ought to be under constant medical supervision and truly understand which substances are permissible and in what quantities.

Frank Lee6 said:Look, I’ve personally seen cases where people barely made it out alive because they were reckless with steroids and other "chemicals."

I agree. Using steroids without any expertise or responsibility can be incredibly dangerous.

Frank Lee6 said:Besides, just ask any doctor what they think about messing around with your hormonal system.

I’ve already asked. This isn't about "messing around"; it's about using medications that are standard in the medical field. Manipulating hormone levels is possible through perfectly legal and widely available means anyway—ranging from basic zinc and magnesium supplementation (in precise doses) to supplements like Tribulus and the like.

Frank Lee6 said:If someone is going to try to pack on muscle mass this way, they really ought to be under constant medical supervision and actually know exactly what they should be using and in what quantities.

I agree, but most people in this community actually know what they're doing. Honestly, until we see some kind of epidemic caused by AAS usage or a sudden spike in fatalities, there’s no reason to panic. At the end of the day, millions of women use synthetic hormones to regulate their periods or prevent pregnancy, and nobody starts a moral panic over that.

When I mentioned "messing with your endocrine system," I was referring to how introducing external hormones can cause your body to stop producing them naturally. Everything works fine as long as your internal production kicks back in once you stop, but what happens if that process stalls?

I agree that long-time bodybuilders generally have enough knowledge and know exactly what they're doing. The issue lies with the rookies who want to pack on muscle mass instantly while barely stepping foot in the gym. They end up cycling through all sorts of combinations at massive doses.

By the way, it's important to note that there are both legal and illegal anabolic steroids, and using most of them leads to side effects like hair loss. Additionally, taking various hormones causes certain—mostly temporary—changes within the body.

That’s why I’d recommend anyone just starting out in bodybuilding, especially recreational lifters, to focus on training without any supplements first, aside from an optimized diet. Only after some time has passed, and they've gathered enough information, should they decide whether or not they want to use performance enhancers.

Everything works fine as long as your own production kicks back in once you stop the external supply. But if that process hits a wall...

Shutting down your own testosterone production only happens in extreme cases—like taking steroids for way too long, say nine months or a year straight without a break. Even then, it isn't incurable, and frankly, it shouldn't be the focus of this discussion. If someone decides to wreck their life by abusing ASUS like that, they need a psychiatrist, not a fitness coach.

Martin said:I agree that veteran bodybuilders generally have enough info and know what they're doing. The issue is the amateurs who want to pack on muscle mass instantly while barely stepping foot in the gym. Those guys end up cycling everything under the sun in massive, reckless doses. [/B]

Luckily, there aren't many of those types out there.

Hair loss only affects people who were already genetically predisposed to losing it; steroids just accelerate what was going to happen anyway. People seem to think they'll go bald from ASUS in a month. That's just not how it works. Just look at Arnold or Sarcastic.

Exactly!
