For the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that my subscriptions aren't automatically triggering whenever I post a reply in a thread. Does anyone know where I can go to adjust those settings?

The thing is—and I hate feeling like I'm being rude—I'll jump into various discussions, but then after a day or two, I completely lose track of which threads I've participated in. I'd hate for people to think I'm just being dismissive by asking a question and then suddenly disappearing without checking back for updates.
I just don't always remember to manually toggle the subscription on myself.

Just click on options, then hit edit options, and look for this one:
Use 'email notification'?
If you check this box, you'll get an email alert every single time someone replies to a thread you've joined. Pretty handy, right?

I actually have that setting turned on, and I still get my email notifications just like I used to

But

that wasn't quite what I meant,

more like

when I’m hanging out on the forum and decide to take a quick peek at my "options"

I used to be able to see all my new updates right away under "Subscribed Threads"

but now? They aren't showing up because the system doesn't subscribe me AUTOMATICALLY anymore—it only works if I manually opt-in to every single thread where I leave a post

and honestly, it's driving me a little crazy. It worked perfectly fine before 😢

Seriously, just go check your settings to see how many days of history you're actually requesting for those posts.
It says "Show topics from" and then gives you a dropdown for "last day, last 2 days, last 5 days, 10..."
You probably just messed up your filter settings somewhere.

It says "from the last day" here.

Is that how it's supposed to work? Or should I set a longer timeframe?

I tried setting it to 5 days just now. It shows me everything from the last five days, but then—well, it only pulls up the threads where I actually have an active subscription.

The real headache is that my subscription isn't applying itself unless I manually toggle it on.

And look, I’ve been a member of this forum for over a year now, and every single time I've posted anywhere else, the subscription applied to that thread automatically without me lifting a finger.

I honestly can't say... Based on what I've seen on your profile, you should be automatically subscribed to everything you've joined already.

Why don't you try toggling the setting off in your options and then turning it back on again?

Well, I went ahead and toggled everything off and then back on again, and—lo and behold—it’s actually working now! Total victory! 🙂

Thanks so much, David Harris44—you're a lifesaver! 🙏 🙏 🙏
