Who makes that stuff?
Are you actually happy with it?

I'm pretty happy with it... it's made by Pfizer
I mean, you've definitely heard of Centrum vitamins, right? (they've got everything from Vitamin A down to iron)🙂= well, they have their own line specifically for moms-to-be and nursing ladies

Good morning, everyone. I could use a little help here. Does anyone know how milk can actually explode when it's being heated? It happened to my neighbor, so I'm pretty curious about how that works. Thanks in advance!

I’m honestly not following the question above... are you suggesting this has something to do with vitamins (???) or did someone just pick the wrong thread?

As for me, I’ve been sticking with a prenatal vitamin because of the omega-3 content... I take it every single day. A few days a week, I’ll also toss in some iron and magnesium. I wouldn't call myself super consistent with those, though—they're just some leftovers from when I was pregnant that I'm trying to work through before they expire.

😕, so, how exactly did it explode... was your neighbor perhaps heating it up in the microwave or even using one of those bottle warmers with the lid tightly closed?... if it was either of those two methods, then it's entirely possible.

I honestly don't quite get this question about exploded milk...
But to answer the actual question in the title—I'm still taking the same prenatal vitamin I used during my pregnancy, though I'll admit I'm not always perfect; sometimes I miss a day here and there. I’m planning on breastfeeding for about six months and one day 😍 and I make sure to take an omega-3 supplement, especially since I couldn't stand them while I was pregnant. Anything with fish oil used to make me feel so nauseous, so now I'm extra careful about what I take while nursing.

So, I have to ask, when exactly were you taking those extra vitamins—was it the entire duration while the baby was nursing, or something else?

I’ve been using them, though I honestly think she’ll keep nursing for a while. We aren't really planning on stopping anytime soon...

I’m thinking about using it while I’m nursing. I’ve been pumping for nine months now, and I've been taking my prenatal vitamins since I first found out I was pregnant. I also drink lactation tea. 🙂

Still got some prenatal vitamin left over from my pregnancy... I'm not exactly consistent about it, maybe just 2 or 3 times a week...
And thank God, the little guy is growing fast...😁

Do these vitamins cause weight gain?

Nursing doesn't make you gain weight. I already told you, breastfeeding actually helps you lose weight, especially since I've been taking my prenatal vitamin.

Personally, I’ve been sticking with the Nature Made prenatal vitamin, mostly because it actually includes magnesium—which is a bit of a relief, since I noticed the one from Nature's Bounty seems to be lacking that specific ingredient...

I didn't take them because I was just being lazy—honestly. But then one day everything just went black in front of my eyes, and since that scare, I’ve been sticking to Centrum - Prenatal omega-3. They might not be the absolute best on the market, but hey, they're better than nothing... 🤷

I took them during my pregnancy, but then I stopped completely until about a month ago. That was way too long to go without support, especially for a nursing mom who's already prone to anemia.

Ladies, seriously, start taking your vitamins. 🙂

I wouldn't say so.
I am still taking them myself, and if anything, I actually managed to drop back down to my pre-pregnancy weight; I have only gained about five or six pounds, but honestly, I can easily attribute that to my chocolate habit & everything else.😠

Personally, I only ever gained weight when taking B vitamins by themselves—just as a standalone supplement. These prenatal vitamins and stuff? They don't make you fat, I guess.😉

So, I've just been sticking to my routine with a prenatal vitamin and some prenatal omega-3.👍
