Sam Clark75 said:If they had a battery, it wouldn't be from Tesla. If it were Tesla, they would've already announced a date for when the battery would be ready. 😁

Well, he basically built them a battery that lasted an entire season, except the race was only 45 laps. 😬

Charles outmaneuvered Max in every single aspect today. To me, Max didn't quite earn the title this time around.
If Max had just played it cool and settled for second place after that first corner, he could have easily dealt with Charles in the second DRS zone. Instead, he let his emotions get the better of him.

He botched the restart, diving too hard into the apex, which completely killed his exit speed. Honestly, I’m just glad Carlos Sainz didn't capitalize on that mistake and overtake him.

A new season is here, but honestly, nothing has changed. Instead of actually talking about how incredible the Ferrari car looks, everyone over at maxverstappenfanclub.com is still just spreading the same old hate. It’s pure obsession at this point. I see a massive pile of bot posts cluttering things up, and frankly, I’m not even going to bother opening them—I already know they’re just self-serving nonsense. Looks like this thread is going to need some serious cleaning up again.

Well, there's a tear in my eye...
That was a masterclass in driving and execution... 🙏 bravo Ferrari
Man, we really had to wait for that one.

Max Verstappen has developed some serious complexes this season. What a bunch of losers.🤣

The broadcast and director are a total disaster 👎😵
If the cars and the actual racing are anything to go by, this could be an incredible season for title fights and track battles...

But if they keep up this pathetic broadcast style, we aren't going to see much of anything useful. 🤦
And don't get me started on this new helmet cam or whatever that kid calls it—it's just a mess of bright colors where you can practically see the grime on the visor.

As long as the graphics look like a coloring book, right? Apparently, following the actual fight for position is totally optional. 🤦

It gets even stupider when they try to track the battle between Valtteri Bottas and that little Chinese guy who I don't even know...
He actually surprised me, though. 🙏 He definitely belongs in Formula 1. 👍

1. Just when you think it's impossible for anything to go more sideways than what happened with McLaren, Red Bull Racing shows up and proves us all wrong. I guess they’ve basically taken the whole concept of a "team disaster" and raised it to a whole new level of chaos.
2. Ferrari actually looked pretty solid, though.
3. Honestly, if we ever face some kind of total nuclear apocalypse and civilization just goes up in smoke, I’m pretty sure the only thing left standing in the ruins would be a perfectly unscathed, incredibly lucky Lewis Hamilton.

Even after a rough weekend, Carlos managed to snag Second Place, so just imagine what’s going to happen once he actually gets comfortable with the car 🙂

I’ve got a gut feeling this season is going to be absolutely killer, and honestly, that win is coming our way sooner rather than later. VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMOOOOS

I don't see the point; I can't make out anything from that camera angle. 😁

Jason Campbell70 said:This is a massive factor that nobody seems to be talking about. Everyone is too busy obsessing over sidepods, floor designs, and aero packages.

Starting this season, the cars have to run on E10 fuel. That’s gasoline with 10% ethanol.
Up until now, they’ve been using E5 (gasoline with 5% ethanol).
Based on the forecasts, we're looking at a power drop of roughly 5-10%.
That translates to a loss of maybe 40-80 HP, which is quite a wide margin.
Whoever manages this transition most effectively will hold a massive advantage.

Think back to when Ferrari cruised to those wins at Spa and Monza 2019. Back then, an extra (allegedly) 50-70 HP turned a decent car into a total powerhouse.

^^ From the neighboring thread.

There’s honestly zero difference between Lance Stroll and Nikita Mazepin. They're both absolute hacks. Both of them only ever landed a seat in Formula 1 because the older one has enough cash to buy his way in. It's a joke. I do think we'll see fewer shredded tires this season, though. The new front wing designs act like a sort of buffer, which should stop that aggressive bottoming and tire damage we used to see. Stroll was out there today scraping against other cars in the corners twice. Total amateur hour.

Who on earth just flew right out of the pits and slammed into Carlos Sainz? I mean, seriously, how was that not a penalty? I’m pretty sure it was Alexander Albon who caused the mess.

Oh man, Ferrari finally!

I’m really hoping this is just the start of them dominating—they’ve been missing out at the top of Formula 1 for a few years now..

But honestly, watching Red Bull struggle is even sweeter. Karma is a real thing, and I hope they get a taste of it this season.

Bravo Charles. He’s really the only one out there who can go toe-to-toe with Max Verstappen without blinking. He doesn't give up an inch, which honestly forces Max to keep his driving standards at an absolute peak.

I suppose this is just karma coming back to haunt Red Bull Racing after that ridiculous business in Abu Dhabi.

I’m dying to know what actually went down with the Red Bull Racing crew. First, they told Max Verstappen that the battery was fine, but then the commentators started claiming Checo Perez stalled the engine. Is it even possible for both of them to have engine issues at practically the exact same time?

During that initial duel between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, Max was trailing by about 0.941 seconds before he managed to pull alongside and overtake him going into Turn 1.

Look, you can't blame the guy for a mechanical failure.

Leclerc didn't mess up, Ferrari’s strategy wasn't garbage, Ferrari got the 1-2, and let's be real—Ferrari's pit crew is way faster than anyone else out there 😲
RB managed to screw up absolutely everything they possibly could 🙏

How much luck does Hamilton and Mečka have? It's actually insane 😁
They're nowhere to be seen for the entire race and then suddenly they snag a podium and 4th place 🤣

Fortune favors the bold. 😂 😂

Did he spin out in turn one because of a mechanical failure?
