The movie isn't bad. Like some people already pointed out, it just drags way too much at the end. Using metaphors and parabolas works fine, and the plot is actually pretty well-constructed without letting it take over the whole film. It looks great visually, too—very lyrical and manages to stay chill without being pretentious.

But that’s not even why I posted. My point is, I took my girl to see this thinking there’d be some decent sex as a little prelude, and what did I get? Absolutely nothing. 😠 Where was the action? Seriously, just a few guys and some boobs, and even then it was only on one of the girls... there was even potential for a lesbian scene between Elena and Lost in Translation, but nope! Nothing. It didn't even get me going, let alone make it sexually appealing. Next time I'm just hitting up an adult site. :2up: 👎

All you people think about is sex! 🙄

I’ve got this movie on my hard drive and I’ve already watched it three times now—each time with different people—and honestly, it just keeps getting better. The plot, the pacing, the whole structure is incredible; it’s a genuinely smart piece of filmmaking. It doesn't pull those gimmicky non-linear tricks like *Memento* or *Irréversible* do; instead, the narrative is intelligently layered from top to bottom. As the film itself suggests, there’s one central gap that serves as an escape route.

Is there anyone else out there who actually loves this movie for the story itself, rather than just the nudity or the actresses? For me, this film is absolutely phenomenal.
BTW, directors often use nudity as a way to draw the general public toward a high-quality film.

Cop 663 said:Look, I get it... the movie is good, really—but if it had been maybe thirty minutes shorter, it would have been even better. As it stands, the pacing starts to drag a bit in the second half.
Penélope Cruz actually delivers a much stronger performance in Almodóvar's "Talk to Her"—she plays a role in that short black-and-white film... 😁 😁

Are you talking about her being "Amparo"? Well, fine—that character is basically just a giant anatomical joke made out of rope, isn't she?!

I have this movie on my hard drive—watched it three times already with different people—and honestly, it just gets better every single time. The plot, the structure, the whole construction... it’s brilliant. It isn't some gimmick where they play with time like in *Memento* or *Irreversible*; the narrative is genuinely sophisticated—layered from top to bottom—and just like the film itself suggests, there’s this one opening in the middle to make your escape...

Is there anyone else here who actually loves this for the filmmaking, rather than just the nudity and the actresses? To me, the film is simply ma-ster-ful.
By the way, directors often use nudity as a tool—to draw the general public toward a truly great piece of cinema.

Well, I love it for the film, but appreciating beauty isn't a contradiction...
It’s called synergy!!! 😎
Anyway, I can't decide right now: blonde or brunette?

It’s surprising how nobody seems to be asking about this particular piece—I’d be more than happy to shed some light on the details for you all...😉

Man, that was an absolute masterpiece. 👍

I’ve always had a soft spot for that kind of chaotic, fragmented storytelling—you know, something with a real *Pulp Fiction*-like vibe where everything is pieces of a puzzle being slammed together. I realize that might not be the most upbeat comparison, but there's just something about it. 🙄

That whole sequence—you know, that block of scenes starting from their first meeting, moving through the photography session, that striptease, and then circling right back to the bedroom—was honestly pretty brilliant to me. There’s a subtle, clever thread connecting all those moments if you look closely enough. 😍

Actors are just... I don't know, man. It’s hard to take them seriously sometimes. 👍 Aside from that one friend of his—you know, the guy from *Sex and the City* whose name I can't quite pull up right now—but honestly, that's becoming a secondary point anyway... 😁

It’s a real shame we didn't get to catch this one in a theater. There’s just no substitute for that scale; I’m certain it would have hit a whole different level of intensity on the big screen.

In any case, I have to give this one a massive thumbs up to anyone out there who actually lives and breathes cinema. It’s a must-watch. 🙂
