🙏🙏🙏 Seriously—what kind of writing is this? What kind of court? What kind of country is this even?

The craziest part is you read stuff like this every single month. In any major US city, there are hundreds of these creeps running around—some of them have been "on the scene" for 20 or 25 years, including a few from the link above.

I’ve seen it all before, and honestly, even as I read through this, I find myself struggling to believe it... And then we act completely surprised when something even more devastating eventually occurs...

I'm seeing all these headlines claiming people are panic-buying flour and cooking oil, and now there's talk about limiting sales. It just brings back those memories of the COVID lockdowns and the absolute madness over toilet paper. Honestly, what am I doing wrong? Why wouldn't these three essentials be in my top 50 grocery items? Seriously, what are you even doing with that much oil? A single liter can easily last me three months.
There’s a Chase Bank on the ground floor of my building. God, it’s packed all day long. I don't think I've stepped foot in a physical bank more than five times in my entire life. I always find myself wondering, what on earth are people actually doing in there?

They're applying for loans, sorting out payment plans, or dealing with overdrafts—plus, older folks probably don't use online Banking, so they have to deal with the teller. It'll stay this way for a little while, but in twenty years, they'll probably phase them out entirely since everything will be done online anyway.
The crowd that can't figure out how to use an app will probably be gone by then...

I honestly don't know what people will be worrying about—like toilet paper supplies—if everything just goes completely south.
In a total catastrophe scenario, I’d be out there buying 50 packs of TP, but then Putin
decides to burn it all down overnight.
My father-in-law and mother-in-law keep calling me, begging us to buy them oil, salt, and flour to send over to Austria—even though there isn't even a shortage in Austria, they just saw something happening in Germany. It’s all gone crazy—absolutely lost its mind—and the older generation is especially prone to it.
My late grandmother—back when there was a war—she understood things like CC, Eden, and Cruz, and the politics of Tuđman and Bobetko... that was it.
But my mother today? She just rambles on about drones, Chinese people, Macron, Lavrov, Zelenskyy, and Putin... and of course, being a decent son, you have to sit there and listen to her and her theories. What insane times we live in.

Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue what anyone intends to do with twenty liters of oil; how does one even manage to utilize such a quantity? Personally, I tend to cook almost exclusively with butter. Even then, my process is quite slow, as I don't believe in letting my pan float in grease—I merely use just enough to ensure nothing sticks to the surface.

I wasn't really feeling this F20 by Arsen Ostojić. The first half actually gave me hope that we were finally getting a solid American film that wasn't just dragging us through some depressing social drama, but honestly, it went downhill fast. It just took a wrong turn halfway through, and those cheesy graphics definitely didn't help the vibe. In my opinion, instead of trying to be a crime thriller, it should have been a lifestyle film—that would've been a total hit...
Still, it’s a passing grade for me. Shoutout to the actress 👍 for her performance in those scenes.

When tragedy strikes, humor has always been the remedy—it's what preserves our sanity. Regardless of whether the catastrophe is personal or widespread, mockery becomes a necessity; it serves both the one calling out the absurdity of the situation and the one feeling the weight of it.

To be able to laugh life right in its face, no matter what it throws at you—that is a profound strength and a true virtue.

Mockery doesn't negate empathy, nor does it signal a lack of understanding. 👍

That’s just a Miami thing to say, basically meaning "even if you're mocking me, you're probably right"—so I didn't mean he was literally making fun of anyone with his post.

From this moment forward, I shall write nothing more concerning the war. I have already provided my input whenever someone inquired or when others were debating, adding my own perspective to the fray. As of now, it is strictly Catenaccio—total silence.

People just write whatever they feel like, I guess, though offsides seems to be more of a topic for joking around or lighthearted teasing; meanwhile, war has become such an exhausted subject, especially since everyone seems to be talking about it constantly everywhere you look.👍

To be honest, I don't necessarily need to dive deep into every single detail of this whole situation, so having his daily dose of briefings is actually perfect for me. It keeps me sufficiently informed without being overwhelming.

That said, this shouldn't—and absolutely must not—stop anyone else from posting about different topics. I don't see how one conflicts with the other. This space is still open for whatever you want: whether it's cars, venting about nonsense, discussing our everyday struggles, sharing hobbies, or talking about great books and TV shows.

For instance, I am personally getting absolutely crushed by these prices. I had so many plans laid out for the next year or two, but this inflation has completely killed my momentum. Prices for everything within my professional sphere are spiraling out of control. My car feels like it's falling apart more and more every day, yet the price of used cars has gone through the roof. There is no way I'm diving into that market right now. It’s the same story with construction materials. I actually came up with a whole vision—a plan to balance all my needs, priorities, and desires. In plain English: in the very near future, I was planning to start a home building project. A small house, specifically. But how on earth did everything have to hit all at once? My dad was just telling me that the price for a single mesh reinforcement for concrete slabs and walls—I think it's an 8-inch one—is 900 freaking dollars. A year ago, it was 300. Or maybe 400. Meanwhile, my paycheck stays exactly where it is. So, how am I supposed to stay calm when things are like this?

It seems like the worst possible time to mess up and start building something. As you probably know, material costs have gone through the roof, parts take forever to arrive, finding a decent contractor is nearly impossible, and inflation is hitting incredibly hard. You either take it or leave it. That is how I am looking at it, though I have some other short-term obligations right now, so I am not sure if I would dive straight into a loan, especially since I plan to take a brief hiatus from working on ships until I get these issues sorted out.

Everyone tells me to wait for government assistance, but I haven't the slightest clue when that will actually start or when it will ever be finalized.

Anthony Wright30, you Russian mafia type, leave our Fury alone!

How does this all actually play out? Are prices finally going to drop once this famous inflation dies down, when the restrictions are lifted, trade routes reopen, and Putin is dealt with? Or are prices just going to stay stuck right where they are, with the hikes simply leveling off or slowing down?

Who is even bothering him? I would perhaps suggest he finds something more productive to occupy his time than worrying about wars and who is responsible for what.

One should try to maintain a positive outlook, regardless of how difficult things might feel sometimes. ☕

here is a little something to help our friend Fury have a slightly better day. 🙂

P.S... I don't really know much about price trends; I imagine it might end up being similar to the aftermath of WWII.😁

So, what’s the deal with this desert sand? I mean, why does it actually stick to a magnet? How would you even go about explaining to those conspiracy theorists that we aren't being poisoned 🤷 😁

I’ve been looking around those local hills to see if I could snag a little fixer-upper to use as a project, but man, with prices like that, I don't think I could afford even a tiny thing... The problem seems to be that there are enough people who can afford them, so sellers are just keeping prices insanely high...

Some guy from Dogme was explaining the other day that prices went up about 20% because of material costs, though honestly, it feels more like they jumped by 50%. I mean, whatever he says, but I guess it's true that new builds have spiked. Even if you account for materials, fuel, and everything else going up, I don't get how they justify it. And real estate agents are part of the problem too, egging on homeowners. Like, how can you take an old place that was worth $50k recently and suddenly appraise it at $80k or $90k? It’s a hundred years old and hasn't been renovated in fifty! What's the actual argument for hiking the price other than "everything else is expensive, so why not?" 🤷 😁

All in all, it's just a bad time for settling down or making big moves. I really hope things stabilize eventually, especially real estate and these overpriced dumps, so we can just take it easy. For now, I guess I'll just keep working and do what I can, when I can. 😁

Because it actually contains certain ferromagnetic particles. 🤷

Other than that? That is simply a fundamental principle of a market economy. ☕
