I was just tearing into that shepherd earlier, but when you really sit with it, the guy managed to write tracks that even those guys in Dream Theater would have to admit possess more depth, if only in terms of raw artistic expression—and I say that without anyone accusing me of constantly bashing Nirvana...🙂

Honestly, Kurt totally deserves that number one spot. I haven't even bothered looking at the list, but if I had to pick, he’s my top choice. And seriously, what kind of uneducated idiots are you people to call him a shepherd without any respect? You should all be bowing down to him. You clearly have zero clue what music actually is. Sure, Led Zeppelin is good, but who would ever put some American folk singers at the top? they felt it had been completely stripped of its meaning and turned into a caricature, so they basically jumped at any chance to mock it.
Honestly, if you're looking to take shots at Kurt, there's really no point in trying to do it through "Teen Spirit."

I never said The Clash or the Sex Pistols were bad bands, I just said they don't deserve to be sitting in the top 100. As for their musical talent, there's no point in debating it since it's irrelevant anyway, though we all know neither group can actually play their instruments properly. Alright, let’s just ignore the fact that these lists are basically just mindless filler—even if we all still can't help ourselves from reading them.
The real issue for me is that most of this isn't even about actual songs; it feels like it's mostly just singles (I haven't finished going through everything yet, so I'm just guessing here).
I get that making a list would be even more of a headache otherwise, but then why call it "songs" instead of just calling them "singles"?

Also, in my humble opinion, this list is way too mainstream.

And honestly? It might be a little too obsessed with British bands.
