Lately, I’ve been getting really into that Frida music, so this morning I’m spinning Lila Downs' *Burn It Blue*.
Oh, and just to throw more in there—of course, I have to mention the legend Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance, which I’ve probably already brought up a million times.

As for more recent stuff, there’s this lady who sings in a band called Frou Frou. Honestly? Such a silly, ridiculous name for a band! But man, she has this absolutely, stunningly gorgeous, dreamy voice...
It's kind of like Björk, but not quite so fragmented.

Actually, I don't even know if she's like Björk at all... argh!

For me, the best are Dolores, Janis, Skin, Billie Holiday, and Shirley Manson.
