In my opinion, the Judgement Night soundtrack is easily the wildest one out there.

To be honest, I don't really remember movie soundtracks, just everything else
Morricone -- definitely the best choice anyway🙂
Pulp Fiction - and the rest of Tarantino's stuff. Like "Natural Born Killers" - that heavy track playing while the characters are fleeing prison in total mass hysteria. Man... :2up:
The Matrix - also that part at the end with Ratm and Wake Up

...

juju said:At least you picked "Flowers on the Wall," which is actually great, instead of some overplayed radio hit... maybe that genre just isn't your thing, because I think the whole soundtrack is killer. You've got "Hair," then that sugary "Grease," and obviously "Diplomat"... I haven't actually listened to the full soundtrack yet, but watching Hours, the music struck me as really solid... anyone else know much about this one?

The score for "Hours" was composed by Philip Glass. The guy's a total genius—he does everything from films (Mishima, The Thin Blue Line, Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, Dracula, Kundun...), stage plays, operas... His style is all about minimalism and repetition, but man, some of his stuff is straight-up brilliant.

Honestly, most of these soundtracks—well, at least for me—really need the movie playing in the background. It’s just different when you have the visuals to lean on. Without the film, the whole vibe feels slightly off.🙂
But there are exceptions, of course. I could listen to the entire *From Dusk Till Dawn* collection all day... tracks like "Hit the Road Jack," "Somebody to Love," or "Bad Boys"... they just work. Then you've got *Pulp Fiction* and *The Bodyguard*. On the other hand, I can't stand the *Lord of the Rings* score, and *The Matrix Reloaded* is pretty mediocre too, even if the first one was alright.

Honestly, it’s a bit of a disgrace that nobody brought up the cinematic musical classics...
I practically grew up on some of these...
Flashdance
Footloose
Cocktail
(...granted, maybe not all the music was top-tier, but still...)

And then there are the older classics, of course.
Tommy
Hair (I see a few people actually mentioned those)
(...now, that soundtrack is absolute perfection)

Plus, some more recent ones...
Dirty Dancing...

At the end of the day, they all deserve a mention. 🙏 👍

I don't know... I think I might still have some cassettes stashed away somewhere around the house.
(Maybe I'm misremembering the quote for Dirty Dancing—something about that just didn't sit right with me), but Flashdance...👍 I'm not even ashamed to admit it... haha.😎
