..Man, I’m such a space cadet—totally missed this thread, so I went ahead and started the exact same one. Great minds think alike, right? 😉

Anyway, moving on! The only showdown I actually care about is:
Padmé Amidala vs. Seven of Nine :

1. Wet t-shirt contest: Seven of Nine
2. Hair style: Padmé Amidala
3. Makeup: Padmé Amidala
4. "Get lost" attitude: Seven of Nine
5. Miss Congeniality: Padmé Amidala
6. Solving equations: Seven of Nine
7. Mud wrestling: Seven of Nine

Basically, Seven of Nine takes the win here just because she's got the experience—I mean, Amidala is still just a kid, isn't she?

Voyager vs. a Mon Calamari Cruiser

Since they don't have a super fast phaser refresh rate—and let's face it, they aren't exactly spamming photon torpedoes either—they’d probably struggle big time against a squadron of A-wings and X-wings. But then again, you've got Seven of Nine there, right? She’d probably integrate Borg tech in a matter of seconds and suddenly everyone else is dropping like flies. And Neelix? He'd probably turn those Mon Calamari prisoners into some kind of fancy seafood salad.

That leaves us wondering:
The Delta Flyer vs. an X-wing?

I mean, the X-wing does come packing a few guided torpedoes... hmm.

Man, once George centers that warp core, those X-wings are gonna drop like rotten fruit!

Man, oh man...

All it would take is a single Q to wipe out the entire Star Wars universe—including every last Jedi and Sith left over from the days of the Sith Wars.

Imperial cruisers would run into some serious trouble facing off against Romulan cloaking tech—not to mention those massive Dominion mega-ships I’ve only ever seen in the Star Trek: Dominion War video game.

Gee...

I completely overlooked all that massive cosmic power V'Ger was pulling behind it in that first Star Trek film.

Since this thread has finally crawled back to life, I’ve got some homework for you all. Take a look at what David Brin has to say regarding the whole Star Wars vs Star Trek debate. Then, give me your thoughts...

Brin: Star Wars vs Star Trek

Regarding that whole Brin take on the "Übermensch" in Star Wars—I honestly don't have much to add.
He pretty much covered it all perfectly.

That’s exactly why I find the populism of Star Trek a lot more appealing than the elitism you see in Star Wars.

Brin might not care... but I certainly do.

Democracy might feel a little chaotic and frustrating every now and then—it definitely has its messy moments—but at the end of the day, it really does deliver.

So... there you have it.

The real question is how on earth Star Wars fans would even try to defend against stuff like teleportation
(I mean, they don't exactly have properly modulated shields to work with)
(and let's be honest, they don't have nearly enough "gods" on their side)😉

I have no idea who would actually come out on top, but I know I’d be rooting for the Star Trek fans... Mr. Spock was my very first crush... and you never really get over your first love.😍

If those Star Wars fans tried to drop in on a Star Trek fan, they'd be in for a rude awakening once...🙂 even a teleporter wouldn't save them when Skywalker shows up with a brand new lightsaber. 🙂
"Beam me up... right now, right now, RIGHT NOW!!!!!!" Honestly, he's just playing it up a little, and then it's game over.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
If Q just decided to snap his fingers, there wouldn't be a Star Wars left!

But, if we keep Q out of it, Star Wars would definitely come out on top (despite what my avatar might suggest 😁). Though, the showdown I actually want to see is Grand Admiral Thrawn vs. Star Trek. Let's see what those Admirals of the Federation, Gul Dukats, and whatever other space-faring leaders can actually do against a tactical genius like him—even if he eventually gets screwed over, because hey, nobody's perfect.

I mean, come on—how is a Jedi supposed to block a phaser blast? No way in hell!

Then again, I’d love to see a Jedi try a mind trick on some geeky engineer just to watch him trigger a warp core overload.

Here's another one for you! What's faster—the Millennium Falcon in Hyperspace or a Sovereign class at Warp 9.666?!

And don't even get me started on those shields trying to survive the Death Star. One well-placed shot and the whole of Q (hope I spelled that right!) would just go up in smoke...

It seems like you guys haven't caught the last two episodes of Voyager,
because that ship could tear through the entire Imperial fleet, swallow both Death Stars whole, and still have the Borg breathing down its neck.

Once Species 1472 shows up, they'll absolutely demolish the Romulans; honestly, even Obi-Wan wouldn't be able to stop them.

But seriously, if anyone actually watched the final episodes of Voyager, you'd know what I mean.

The real question now is: who would win in a fight, the Exossi or the Ferengi?

crimsonjackal8 said:You’re forgetting two absolutely crucial matchups:

Padmé Amidala vs Kathryn Janeway
Honestly, who wins? I just hope they both lose in the end. 😛

7od9 vs Anakin Skywalker
If he had burned for her instead of for Amidala, everything would have gone differently. She probably would have just shut him down—"Love is irrelevant," right?—and he would've ended up killing himself. He never becomes a Jedi, never falls to the dark side, never develops asthma, and never brings balance to the Force. Basically, Palpatine gets to rule in peace and prosperity for the next millennium while the Boba Fett clan keeps multiplying. What a beautiful Space that would be.

PS: In any argument with Star Trek fans, I'm always Team Star Wars!

I'm going to kill you. I just spilled blueberry juice all over my keyboard and my clothes because of this damn post.

Where’s the disclaimer for idiots drinking juice while reading? 😁

The only reason Thrawn is considered a tactical genius is because Zahn wrote him that way.
I mean, Han, Leia, and Lando come up with this incredibly vague, half-baked plan that takes three whole pages to explain. And then... cut How did Thrawn actually figure it out? Honestly, the only logical explanation is that he had an actual copy of that cursed book right next to him. Which leads me to my question: WHY does Zahn hand out book excerpts to his detractors? In my opinion, it’s just not fair.

By the way, Thrawn isn't actually from the movies, so we shouldn't be conflating him with the films. If we’re looking for a genuine tactical genius, let's go with Admiral Ackbar instead. Big head, big brain.
Thrawn is just lame. He feels like a character ripped straight from some low-budget sci-fi show. At the end of the day, he’s just a human with blue skin. It honestly feels like Zahn wrote the book on a shoestring budget with zero imagination. 😁

You mentioned Q... Honestly, in these newer books, the young Jedi Knights have become so damn omnipotent that it feels like they’re practically related to him.
And now look at me, bringing up that trashy book again. 😁

granitesailor98 said:I can't help but wonder how a Jedi would even attempt to deflect a phaser blast. There's just no way.

I don't get it. Why wouldn't a Jedi be able to block that? Those sabers are pretty resistant to lasers, you know...

Here’s another one. What actually moves faster: the Millennium Falcon in Hyperspace or a Sovereign class ship at Warp 9.666?

The last time I was piloting a Sovereign, the Millennium Falcon left us stranded in a cloud of space dust.

As for Brin... he's just bitter because the Postman flopped at the box office.

Look, New York City would have all those Jedi flipping to The Other Side just by looking at them with that wild gaze and hairy chest, and then they'd go out and wipe out every single Imperial, Republican, and Liberal Democrat in the Star Wars universe!

Me? 😁
Look, I genuinely can't stand Timothy Zahn. He turned Star Wars into some tech-heavy sci-fi mess where Lando talks like a chief engineer on the USS Enterprise (let's be honest, that isn't the Lando we saw in the movies). Then there's the nonsense like Dark Jedi appearing out of nowhere, and he created that orange-haired character Mara Jade (I was a dedicated member of the Mara Jade Haters Club over at force.net). Zahn is a hack, yet everyone treats him like some sci-fi deity. If he were actually any good, he wouldn't be stuck writing hired gun books.

Now, back to business... 😁
