I can't wrap my head around Holland. Such an overrated actor.🙂Neither can I stand Walberg.

This movie feels way too much like Tomb Raider for my taste—so I think I'll pass on watching it...

Not great. Honestly, pretty bad. It takes them a full century to finally embark on an adventure, only for the whole thing to end up being a total dud.

I'm with you on Holland. I don't get the hype either. Every performance feels like more of the same.
I watched this one because someone claimed it was similar to Indiana Jones, but that's a stretch. It was just an average film.

5/10

What a disaster.🤦Not even worth the popcorn because everyone is just so incredibly grating. Walberg is basically playing himself again—same tired routine in every single movie. And Holland tries way too hard; he’s a historian, a top-tier bartender, a jack of all trades... it's exhausting.🙄
I knew my brother was alive, but I can't wrap my head around how he's sending postcards from a prison cell. A carrier pigeon?🤔
I couldn't wait for it to end.

Since I am a genuine enthusiast of this game and have had such an excellent experience with it, I have decided—based on your comments—that I won't even bother watching the movie. I have no desire to let it ruin the franchise for me the same way that the Dylan Dog film did.

I actually had a blast with it. It’s one of those movies where you don't need to overanalyze every little detail—it was pure popcorn entertainment for me. Honestly? A much better experience than that last Tomb Raider flick.

I thought the movie was alright, pretty solid actually. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it's a decent way to kill two hours if you're looking for something to watch. I've always had a soft spot for this kind of stuff, so I didn't mind sitting through it. You get some light action set against some pretty cool locations. It’s definitely shallow, but it works.

I’m a huge gamer—this is basically my life. Honestly, if anyone went into this expecting some award-winning cinematic masterpiece, they should probably go ask for help. We're all just sitting here waiting for the sequel to 🍿

It won't, it isn't all that bad, I suppose 😁. Compared to the game, the most jarring change is that Sully doesn't have his mustache, which feels like a genuine sacrilege 🤣.

The movie is watchable enough, though perhaps not much more than that, given how many missed opportunities there seem to be.
Both Uncharted and Tomb Raider might have achieved that legendary cult status enjoyed by Indiana Jones if they had been handled by someone who truly understood the genre, but unfortunately, not everyone is a Spielberg.

Unlike Indiana Jones, these two were clearly made just to squeeze a few more bucks out of gamers.

The movie was alright—nothing to write home about, really.
There’s definitely room for improvement, though. If they can pull off a decent sequel, we might actually have something solid on our hands.

Yeah, they nailed it.
Honestly, Nathan Fillion would have fit Holland like a glove.

But hey, who am I to question the geniuses over in Hollywood?

Finally sat down to watch 😁
As a gamer, I thought the movie was decent enough. Is it some kind of cinematic masterpiece? No. But considering the absolute garbage we usually get when they adapt video games, this easily lands in the top 1%. I actually liked Holland, though Wahlberg was his usual grating self—still, it works for the story. All in all, a pretty solid way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

. As someone who plays games regularly, I found the film perfectly acceptable. Is it some groundbreaking masterpiece? No. However, when you consider the abysmal track record of video game adaptations lately, this easily sits within the top 1% of the genre. I have an affinity for Holland, though Wahlberg tends to be a bit grating as usual; nevertheless, the dynamic works well enough. All things considered, it was a quite solid way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

That said, I did watch the film, and I find myself in complete agreement with the sentiments expressed above.

It was decent entertainment. It certainly could have been much better and handled with more gravity. Sully doesn't even have the mustache 🙂. Some scenes are absolute disasters while others are genuinely excellent. That sequence climbing up the ship is identical to how it played out in the game.

I find it difficult to believe they took a plane crash scene—which already felt wildly over-the-top in the game—and somehow managed to make it even more absurd and unrealistic. I suppose I don't quite understand why there is such a relentless insistence on this kind of exaggeration, though perhaps it's just my perspective; it seems to me that instead of actually impressing anyone, it mostly just invites people to laugh at how ridiculous it all is.

Precisely. Even though our collective IQ seems to plummet with every passing year, one would think that most of the audience would still find this scene jarringly over the top.

Honestly—after that hundred-mile stretch in Fast & Furious and those intense sequels (I can't even remember which one), this didn't even look that over the top 🤣

Well, I suppose that space cruiser from the latest Fast & Furious installment has set the bar unexpectedly high 🤣. It’s likely the most unrelatable film out there where the characters are just ordinary people lacking any superpowers. Compared to them, Uncharted seems like a walk in the park.

Look, I’ve got a pretty massive tolerance for absolute garbage, and honestly, I love the Uncharted games, but this? This was just bad.
Marky Mark is a complete miss as Sully, and Holland plays this overly wholesome "good boy" version of Spider-Man—it’s basically just the same character he plays in every single movie. As for the female lead, Braddock... she just has zero charisma.

The action sequences were decent enough since they ripped them straight from the game, but even then, they went way overboard with some stuff that was just laughably unrealistic.
