Indiana Jones (2017)

I don’t even play Uncharted, but honestly, even just looking at it as an adventure flick, this thing feels incredibly mediocre. It’s like the script was churned out by some basic AI.
It’s right up there with Red Notice.
I mean, I'll give them credit for the pretty scenery, I guess.
And what on earth did they do to Banderas? I have no idea why they even cast him in this mess. 🤦

Terrible movie. Total hack job.

It’s basically this mashup of Indiana Jones, James Bond, and National Treasure—just packed with these totally over-the-top, unrealistic action sequences.

If you can just look past all that—and the fact that it feels like a cheap knockoff of a knockoff of a knockoff, honestly pretty forgettable—it’s a decent enough way to kill an evening on the couch.😬

I honestly couldn't even make it through the entire movie, which is quite saying coming from someone who has played every single Uncharted game and considers themselves a massive fan of adventure cinema. I’ll tune in whenever Indiana Jones is on TV, particularly those sequels featuring Sean Connery... I certainly didn't expect Uncharted to reach this particular level of quality, but there are certain elements in the games that were executed far more effectively than they were here.

It’s a disappointment, and frankly, I doubt I’ll bother seeing it through to the end.
