Hey everyone, I’d love to get your take on this specific HDMI cable. This 10m one is going for $23, but I noticed a different 10m option sitting at $60 (take this one, for example: https://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Cable.../p/EK000435867). In your experience, is that first one actually worth the extra cash at $23? I'm looking to grab a long cable so I can finally stream movies from my laptop straight to the big screen on the TV.

It all comes down to which HDMI version you’re running. Newer versions offer higher bandwidth, which is basically mandatory if you're pushing high resolutions at faster refresh rates or trying to use specific smart TV features. Honestly, if your screen isn't hitting 4K and you don't care about HDR, version 1.4 does the job just fine. Check out this chart.

Looks like both are running on the HDMI 1.4 spec—so we're talking budget tier here. But hey, if you're just trying to push a 1080p signal, it might actually get the job done.

The second one isn't necessarily an upgrade over the first. If I were you, I'd grab the first option; if it turns out to be junk, you can always just return it.
