Look, I’m not even trying to rip clips off the Television!! How am I supposed to be breaking any rules on the pdf Eurovision when I don't even have any posts over there?!

driftingtinker said:Well, you’re basically a local on the ex-Chatterbox anyway, so I guess you’ve already gone ahead and redesigned the whole place to suit your own taste 🙂

Everyone’s pretty happy about it—some people are thrilled you showed up, while others are probably celebrating the fact that you're finally leaving 😬

maybe 🙂

I'll be back through it in a few days. Man, there's always so much drama, so much politics

The last big mess was that whole thing between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Casey Bennett said:Here’s the bottom line: people aren't following the rules regarding the Eurovision PDF, opting instead for mindless copy-pasting and spamming comments that offer zero actual value to the discussion.

And don't act like you're oblivious, because this exact same nonsense has been dragging on for years across this entire forum; it’s just that your own stubbornness has finally backfired and hit you right where it hurts: Eurovision.

Yeah, I mean Television, not the Eurovision thread. That's what I'm talking about.

I don't care about some "Television thread"—everything stays under partial access. I just want the main root opened up so I can actually get into the Eurovision thread, but apparently, nobody wants to get that through their heads.

I don't give a damn about reality shows, series, unreleased stuff, or whatever else garbage is up there. It all stays hidden behind those partial restrictions anyway.

Alright, just come up with a title for the thread. Just make sure it ends with "ex-Chatterbox" at the very end, and I'll pin it back as a sticky once you've finished cleaning it up.

Eurovision is just television. And these moderators? They’re the same old crowd, and frankly, the community doesn't want them anymore either. I don't know how much clearer it needs to get.

Look, Casey Bennett, it's just one mod who doesn't want me—Casilda—because he's the only one running this specific section.

Anyway, I'm gonna reopen this exact same thread in January on 01/03/2023 (Tuesday). Trust me, I've got nothing but patience.

So, I actually put together this whole thing on the history of Eurovision (1956 - 2003)

If anyone's actually interested:

Listen, "mod" (and I mean that in every sense of the word), please allow this discussion to proceed within this thread. We’re already touching on the subject, and frankly, I don't see how it violates any actual rules
.
I have a certain respect for staff who strictly adhere to the handbook, but the fundamental issue here is when people end up in the crosshairs because of arbitrary personal whims rather than established policy... it feels like a badger in a courtroom.

Is there any possibility for a formal review or even a "jury" process?

It’s been proven by the example of that skeptic clinging to the pdf Eurovision file that you simply can't just open any random pdf.
The partial restriction covers the entire sub-forum, and even though we thought we could grant access to a nested sub-sub-forum for those under partial restrictions, it turns out that isn't technically possible.

That doesn't mean the mods would agree to it in this instance, even if it were doable. When you give someone a mountain of chances to evolve from a spammer into a productive member, and they just toss those opportunities into the wind while shouting, "Who cares? You can't do anything to me, your warnings and restrictions don't mean a damn thing," there comes a point where the mods realize it's just not worth the headache.

Casey, once the main root is locked down, you lose access to all the sub-files under that root too.

Like, take the beautiful us section or the Washington, D.C. section—if a user still has access to the main beautiful us file, they're fine.

But if you restrict the main root, the user loses everything. It's like having a main root called beautiful us and a sub-root called Washington, D.C. If you grant partial access to the NYC file, the user can still see the beautiful us file. But if you restrict the beautiful us file, the user won't even be able to see the NYC file.

So, say there's a wolf and a bunch of sheep—we could have made the COVID-19 file its own thing, and kept the Skeptics in a separate file.

Then we could have put the COVID-19 file under partial access while leaving the Skeptic crew alone.

The way it's set up now, if you restrict COVID-19, the Skeptics get caught in the crossfire automatically because the COVID-19 file is the main gateway to the Skeptic files.

Larry Walker24 said:RiD - No kids here, so some mods told me there's no point in me hanging out, even though I mostly just posted in the NYC student section🤣

TV - Typical, those guys don't know the first thing about Eurovision

Music - Trash moderation

Social - Lemonzoo

Nature - Bad moderation, basically they just moderate whenever they feel like being an asshole

Alternative - Lemonzoo

Men's Corner - I commented on some random forum users in the commentary thread, they didn't like it, so Deedy banned me

D&K - Lemonzoo

Betting - The mod knows my whole history on this forum and banned me because of it (kind of like that movie Minority Report where Tom Cruise gets arrested before he even commits the crime)

Tennis - The mods don't know anything about the sport

Olympics (every 4 years)

I actually had to log out just to see what I was missing😬

It's honestly wild how easily the admins hand out bans on request, even though they should actually want people posting

dick ha🤣

To be fair, I did not demand it, though they were certainly noble. I would go so far as to say they were livid.
I agree regarding the nature section... and lemonzoo has disappointed me.

1. economics - the mod is directly complicit in this deception... I only wrote in one single thread, if you can believe it—my opponents were actually warning the mod that people were insulting me, and he did absolutely nothing.
2. nature... a jealous assistant, to put it mildly (he has some peculiar habits).
3. politics - it is the usual story of untouchable young elites; I would honestly fare better under Stalin.
4. Audio and Video Tech - 😂 Good grief, I am trying to find the login for that NYC forum... the word escapes me... regardless, I must offer praise to Tiki-ja.

But I certainly have more red flags (about 50 plates worth).

It is a shame I won't be here; otherwise, I would transfer your posts... provided the moderators remained unaware.🕺

So, basically what I'm saying is: if you only have partial access to Television, you won't even see the Eurovision sub-forum.

Why isn't it working like that now?

Yeah, exactly, but I'm just trying to unselect that specific section on the main dashboard so I can actually get into the NYC Eurovision PDF.

The rest of the PDFs will still stay tucked under that section.

I don't have any issues with Witch since I haven't posted anything on her PDF before anyway, and that new guy Altarifan doesn't even know who I am.

You aren't just a king; you’re an emperor. 😁But honestly, you must have done something truly egregious to get banned by Zoran... In my estimation, he’s actually a quite capable moderator, or at least he certainly attempts to be. Regardless,
It is incredibly awkward to attempt to correct those flawed perspectives one inherits from their upbringing... It is a deeply difficult task. Such things leave lasting imprints and create very easy triggers.

Why don't you just scrap that idea entirely and start a clone instead?
It’ll probably take them a few days to even catch on. 🍿

Partial truth—there’s history, and then there’s *his* version of history. And I’m not buying his take.

and the absolute peak was when he labeled me a right-winger 😂
