Best dark comedies?

Step Brothers (2008):

Brennan and Dale end up as reluctant stepbrothers after their parents get married... I'd give it an 8/10.

Turns out the "technician" fixing our cable is actually a total psychopath... I'd give it a 7/10

Wild Tales

The Campaign (2012)

A pretty sharp dark comedy about political rivals, featuring Will Ferrell vs. Zach Galifianakis—I'd give it a solid 9/10.

One of the more intense moments involves using snakes as a political stunt, which ends up being a complete disaster: 😂 👍

Life Is Beautiful (1997):

An incredible piece of filmmaking where Benigni truly delivers a career-defining performance; I'd give it a solid 9/10.

Out of everything I’ve managed to sit through, nothing quite hits the mark like Arsen and the old trap (though if you ask any jokester, they’d probably interpret that title a little differently🙂). Honestly, I don't think even Cary Grant ever landed a role quite that good...

Since you guys have been posting a ton of movies I actually dig—looks like we might actually share a similar taste after all—I decided to take the liberty of rounding them all up into one list. Just a heads-up, though: the order here doesn't mean anything regarding quality... it's just a list.

1. The Perfect Host (2010) (Personally, I thought it was fantastic, though I'm not entirely sure if it even qualifies as a comedy)

I don't know, I haven't checked out that other one. Honestly, I think Delicatessen is probably the darkest comedy ever made.

Michael Caine doing what he does best:

This is a dark comedy that’s gained a bit of a cult following here in the States, featuring Michael Caine in one of his sharper roles. After a freak accident on the subway, a deputy manager gets a rather brilliant idea about how to efficiently dispose of his wife, followed by his entire office competition. I'd give it an 8/10; it's worth a watch.

Absolutely hilarious.

The Trip

A killer dark comedy out of Scandinavia. Tons of blood, but I was laughing my head off.
