In my collection of old devices, I have this ancient Samsung Galaxy Tab from back in 2013 running iOS 5. I’ve got two questions for you all.

1. Just a week ago, the Apple App Store was working perfectly fine, but now I'm getting hit with a DF-DFERH-01 error. Did Apple officially pull support for Android Ice Cream Sandwich?

2. Also, why does the tablet just die on me after a little while? I try to power it on, but it just hangs on the "Samsung" logo for a second and then shuts itself down completely. If I plug it into the charger, it boots up normally. The battery indicator says it's at 20%. I mean, seriously? If it were at 0% or 1%, I'd get it, but 20%? That makes absolutely no sense.🤔

Hannah Ortiz59 said:So, I’ve got this old relic sitting in my collection, a Samsung Galaxy Tab from back in 2013 that’s still running on iOS 5, and honestly, it’s kind of taking up space but I can't bring myself to part with it! Anyway, I actually have two quick questions about it!

So, like, literally just last week I was chilling and everything on the Apple App Store was working perfectly fine, you know? But now, out of nowhere, I’m getting hit with this super annoying DF-DFERH-01 error message every single time I try to do anything! It's driving me absolutely bonkers! Does anyone know if they actually dropped support for Android Ice Cream Sandwich or something? Is my tablet just officially ancient news now?!

So, okay, I’ve gotta ask—why does my tablet just straight-up die on me out of nowhere?! It’s driving me absolutely bonkers! I try to power it on, right, and it gets to that part where the "Samsung Galaxy Tab" logo pops up on the screen, and then—BAM—it just shuts itself off again. Like, poof, gone. The only way I can actually get it to stay on is if I plug it into the charger, which works fine, but here's the kicker: the battery indicator says I'm sitting at 20%! Like, excuse me, what?! If it were at 0% or maybe like 1%, I’d be like, "Okay, fair enough, you need juice," but 20%? That makes zero sense to me! It's so weird!🤔

So, I was just sitting here thinking—maybe we could try to go for it and flash some new software onto this thing? Like, maybe that would actually fix the issues we're seeing, you know? But then I hit this massive wall of a question... does an actual update even exist for this tablet? I honestly have no clue if there's anything out there to work with!

Obviously, you aren't going to get an official update for the Samsung Galaxy A10; it’s stuck on 4.0.3 for good. You might be able to hunt down some custom 4.1 firmware somewhere online, if you're feeling lucky.
