Hi everyone, I’m stuck on something and could really use some advice or a recommendation if anyone has one!

I recently picked up lice from my kids... after some intense washing and thorough combing, I managed to get rid of those little pests. But looking closer at my scalp, I noticed these red spots. There are about 7 or 8 of them; I took a photo of the largest one, while the others are half the size and scattered around my scalp. At first, I figured they were just irritation from all the combing, but it's been three weeks and they aren't going anywhere.

My GP prescribed some Belogent cream from Boeing, which I used for about ten days, but it didn't do a thing.

With everything being under lockdown right now, getting an in-person appointment isn't really an option, so I'm turning to you all for help.

Are you absolutely sure that wasn't already in there before?

To be honest, I wasn't paying attention before. It wasn't itching or anything, so I can't say for certain whether it was there prior to my ears. 🤦

Sorry, I’ve been totally failing at getting back to you... but look, usually those prescription skin creams doctors throw at us work, even if it’s just a temporary fix. If yours didn't do squat—and that's how I read your post—then we have a problem. Honestly? To me, it looks more like moles or something. Like, maybe it's just your skin being its own thing rather than an actual medical issue. I mean, obviously, I'm no doctor, so don't take my word as gospel. But if it doesn't itch or burn, it might not even be a "condition." Next time you're in the shower, maybe pay attention to whether your shampoo makes those spots sting or anything. That might give us a clue.
