Greetings, everyone!

I will be traveling to Washington, D.C. this coming Monday. Could anyone recommend a repair shop where I might get a tablet rooted, provided the shop is located relatively close to the Mayo Clinic?

Specifically, I am looking within the vicinity of the Mayo Clinic, Quincy, the holy land, Kennedy Square, or Subic Street... somewhere in that general area.

If there aren't any options near those specific locations, where would be the nearest service center capable of rooting a device?

I hope this bit of information helps clarify my request... I am working with an 8-inch Alcatel Pixi3 that was provided to me as a loyal AT&T customer.

So, what's the actual motivation here? You looking to root for some specific reason, or just bored...

So, I’ve given it a shot myself—did you try running that Magisk APK directly, or were you messing around with it via a PC?

Just use Magisk to root it.

There used to be one over by Times Square, specifically on that street that connects Broadway and 7th Avenue—if I’m remembering the layout right. Some guy totally ripped me off there, though. Honestly, I have no clue if they're even still open.

Andrew Peterson2 Asks:
And what exactly is your motivation for seeking to root the device? Is there some specific, underlying purpose driving this decision?

gentlecyclist16 The user states:
Have you attempted this yet—either by using the Magisk APK or through a computer?
Is there truly any greater pursuit than seeking absolute control over one's own device? Does anyone else find themselves searching for that elusive sense of digital freedom through tools like Magisk?

slydriver5 The individual states:
Would it not be more prudent to attempt the rooting process via Magisk?

I am considering rooting my device because my young nephew has been busy installing, uninstalling, and reinstalling a massive amount of games from the App Store. Ever since I acquired this phone, I have been unable to install any kind of AdBlock until I manage to get Magisk running. Now that the boy has truly made a mess of things, the device stutters constantly and runs incredibly slowly. Is there any way to restore its former speed?

I find myself wondering if my USB cable is even long enough to connect this device to my computer so I can attempt to root it using Magisk. To be perfectly honest, I have little interest in iOS devices, nor do I particularly care for macOS computers; all I truly desire is to simply turn them on and have them function as intended.

Perhaps I shall investigate what can be accomplished using Magisk.

Ever since I got it, I haven't been able to get any kind of AdBlocker running on it without rooting first. Now that the kid has really done a number on it, it’s stuttering like crazy and feels incredibly sluggish.

I’m not even sure if I have a USB cable long enough to plug it into my computer and try to run Magisk. Honestly, I couldn't care less about iOS devices, and frankly, I'm losing interest in macOS computers too. All I ever want is to turn something on and have it actually work.

But hey, maybe I'll see what happens if I give Magisk a shot.

In that case, honestly, it might be a lot easier to just perform a factory reset rather than dealing with the headache of rooting. Just keep in mind that doing a reset will wipe everything "yours" off the tablet—so you should probably move all your photos and anything else you actually care about over to an external drive first.
Usually, rooting the device is going to void your warranty, whereas a reset won't.

In most instances, rooting will void your warranty, whereas a simple reset will not.

I am already quite well aware of how the warranty situation works.

Even if I perform a factory reset, I still won't be able to install any kind of AdBlock.
