How do I route PC audio to my TV?

Hey everyone! So, I’ve got my TV hooked up via HDMI to my PC, which is running a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. Here’s the headache: if I pull up a movie file directly from my hard drive using Windows Media Player, I can just toggle the audio settings within the player and send the sound straight to the TV. Easy enough. But the second I jump onto YouTube, Netflix, or anything else online, I'm stuck. I figured there must be some setting in the GPU control panel to handle this, but I'm completely lost. In the NVIDIA Control Panel under Audio, I see "Default audio device" and my TV is listed right there. Below that, I have options for S/pdif and Speakers. I try them all—nothing works. It’s just dead silence. What am I missing here?

Just right-click that little speaker icon on your taskbar down by the clock and date.

Pick Playback devices -> then find your TV-HDMI option—whatever it's called on your screen—hit "set as default," and you should be good to go.
