I’m hoping some experts here can walk me through how to "un-sync" all my different devices—I clearly messed something up because now my PC and phone are totally linked to my work computer, too. I was genuinely shocked the other day when my work browser showed search history for sites I am absolutely certain I never visited on the clock. Plleeeease, help!
Thanks a million in advance!

It actually caught me off guard the other day when my browsing history from home popped up while I was at the office—and I am 100% certain I didn't visit those sites during work hours. Pleeease, heeelp!
Thanks so much in advance!

Just pull the battery out of your phone and unplug the computer. Problem solved. 😵 😵

If I’m actually following what you’re getting at here, then the fix is pretty simple: just use different Google accounts on every device...

Exactly—that’s what I was thinking too, that having one account tied to everything is the culprit. But how do you actually set up a second or third one without having to make up fake info?😲

Even if I needed 100 different accounts 😁... ever since these various online sync features popped up, I haven't touched them once... and I'm not starting now.
For Chrome, I just do a "manual sync" to my other devices by dragging the profile folder over via a thumb drive :P
I've always been wary of using Azure for stuff like that... etc.

The real question is: am I just being paranoid? Or am I just being smart about protecting even a tiny sliver of my own data?

I've always been a bit skeptical about using Azure... I just never felt like it was my thing.

Is it paranoia? Or am I just being smart about protecting what little digital footprint I have left?

This other one.👍

You’re probably going to be rolling on the floor laughing at the sheer level of stupidity I just displayed trying to hide my browsing history on my work laptop🤦

So, step one was uninstalling Chrome
Then I went ahead and turned off device sync (I think?):

After all that, everything just showed up as zeros:

I ended up setting Chrome as my default browser on this work computer

And now, feel free to roast me🐔
