Keyboard stopped working

Hey,

So, I've got this Dell laptop that isn't even a year old, and out of nowhere, the keyboard just quit on me. The touchpad is fine, but literally none of the keys are responding. I don't know the exact model off the top of my head, if that matters, but it's running Windows 7 ultimate sp1 and there aren't any error messages popping up... It’s still under warranty, but I was wondering if there's anything I can try myself before dragging it all the way to a repair shop. It hasn't been dropped or anything... honestly, it's basically in mint condition.

If I recall correctly, there isn't a specific key combination like Fn + something to disable the keyboard 😬 so I’m worried you might actually have to crack the case open. It could be anything from a loose ribbon cable or liquid damage at the connector to the hardware just giving up the ghost entirely. Either way, you're looking at a trip to the repair shop.
