I’ve got a gut feeling Jenson Button found out today he’s getting the boot...
It’s been ages since he actually pulled off a decent result, and after the race, he looked completely crushed while telling reporters how he started second only to finish fifteenth...
So, it feels like the only real question left is whether Lewis Hamilton or maybe Sebastian Vettel takes that seat at McLaren.🤷

From what I've been picking up on Sky, Jenson Button is totally lost on where he’s headed or how he's even going to pull it off.
Plus, you've got Massa just absolutely tearing into Zalons. 👍
And honestly, the entire internet is having a field day making fun of him too. 🤣

Are you kidding me!?
Did you seriously forget what Sebastian Vettel signed with Ferrari for?

It’s been a while since we saw a result this decent. After the race, he seemed pretty shaken up during the press conferences, too—just trying to play it cool and act like starting second and finishing fifteenth was somehow okay. I guess that's just how it goes.
It wasn't just after the race, either; the whole weekend looked like a total washout... so I guess I ended up reaching the same conclusion.
Maybe we should get him over to NBC to do some race commentary. 😍

I guess we weren't even watching the same Jenson Button then.🤷

Jenson Button basically looked miserable his entire career—even back in 2009 he was pretty much just a backup driver

I don't really agree with that. Gumbek is actually a total optimist... If anything, he’s one of the few drivers I could actually see myself grabbing a drink with. 😍
But I guess you're probably just drinking your beer upside down anyway, so I won't bother trying to provide any actual arguments...

But Felipe Massa is definitely giving Zalons a hard time. 👍
And honestly, the internet isn't being kind to him either. 🤣
Personally, I’d put Button in a Williams seat... I think he’d provide much more consistency than Felipinjo, which would give them a better shot at taking second in the Constructors' Championship.

Not even close...
Honestly, he didn't even look this miserable when his dad passed away.
Something clearly went down at McLaren and he almost certainly lost his seat for 2015.

I just hope the folks over at McLaren aren't crazy enough to swap Sebastian Vettel for Lewis Hamilton. Mario Andretti, I think if McLaren doesn't land either Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel, they should probably just stick with their current lineup...

I was perusing the latest issue of USA Today, and it seems there is quite a bit of drama swirling around the paddock regarding Lewis Hamilton. Apparently, he approached Mercedes with a rather audacious proposal: he wanted to swap seats with Lewis Hamilton—essentially moving himself over to Ford while Lewis Hamilton takes his place at Mercedes. However, from what I gather, Mercedes turned him down flat; they seem perfectly content with their current driver lineup and have no desire to shake things up. When word of this reached Ford, they reportedly concluded that Lewis Hamilton simply wasn't giving the team his full commitment anymore, leading them to terminate his contract in favor of signing Sebastian Vettel, whom they had been eyeing for quite some time.
Here is another interesting tidbit to consider: Sebastian Vettel is allegedly bringing several key personnel along from Red Bull, which begs the question, wouldn't that significantly bolster the strength of the Ford team?

This is either coming from a highly reliable source or someone at USA Today is pulling a world-class troll. 🙏 🤣

Just another thing... Vettel is bringing some guys over from Red Bull with him. Might actually give Ferrari some much-needed muscle...
It’s still hard for me to wrap my head around the idea of Ron swallowing his pride just to hire Lewis Hamilton again. I honestly can't see it happening. The idea of an ego that massive bowing down to satisfy another massive ego... 🤷🤷

I caught a rumor somewhere suggesting that Ron is actually stepping down and being replaced by Berger. Perhaps that explains why things are finally starting to shift. If he’s already on his way out, his usual influence likely won't carry much weight anymore.

One more thing to consider: Vettel is bringing several people from Red Bull with him. It wouldn't be surprising if that actually strengthened Ferrari's position.
That's just his theory, and it’s likely grounded in some truth, though we probably won't ever know the full details. One thing is certain: Lewis Hamilton made the first move, and Ferrari countered by bringing in Vettel.
