Regarding the topic of Russia, I put together a post covering the Dalai Lama’s recent comments on Putin. To provide full context, I included two links—one to an international news outlet and one to a major US news site. I also provided a brief summary of the foreign coverage along with an excerpt from the American article regarding his statement.
The reaction from certain aggressive users on this forum to what was a completely neutral, informative post was nothing short of absurd:
A single-line jab calling the Dalai Lama "Ridiculous."
Then there were those claiming the Dalai Lama is actually just a CIA asset.
Naturally, those posts were deleted.
Meanwhile, everyone else seemed intent on mocking him, questioning why he doesn't just step down since the article pointed out that while Putin has been in power for fifteen years, the Dalai Lama is a lifelong leader. Essentially, they are trying to draw a comparison between a spiritual figurehead and a secular political ruler.
Frankly, I don't understand why my own post was removed. It didn't violate a single forum rule; it simply contained links and a concise summary of the facts.
