Look, this might sound like a dumb question, but I just want some info—how much cash am I looking at for a build that can actually run League of Legends?
I don't need peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, or speakers, and I'm good on the monitor too.
Here are the recommended specs for the game:
  • OS: Windows 7 / Vista / XP (64 bit Compatible with 7 / Vista) (*NOTE: the game officially supports Linux too, so this isn't strictly required)
  • Processor: Intel core 2 duo 2.4GHz
  • Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista / 7
  • Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with Shader model 3.0. Nvidia 7600, ATI X1600 or Better hard Drive
  • Hard Drive: At least 2.5 GB of free space
  • Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

EDIT:
Realized I posted this in the wrong section. Hey mods, could you please move this over to Desktop PCs? Thanks

This game is pretty CPU intensive... I guess the first build gives you a stronger processor, better graphics, and more room for overclocking or upgrading the GPU later.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm just wondering what the deal is with the power supply, since both configurations list the "ZAL-CNPS10X Optima MS PLUTOS case without a PSU."
One more thing—if I decided to hold off for maybe another 2 or 3 months, could I actually "score" better deals on certain parts, or do you think the market is going to stay pretty much the same as it is right now?

It actually lists the power supply right there—you might have missed it... it's a Chicony Active 400 w ATX PSU, specifically the CHI-HPA-400W.

It’s nothing major. We might see those 250x and 265 ATI/AMD cards hit the market, and maybe the 260x will drop slightly in price (in the USA they're already around $110-$120, but the question is what the pricing will look like here in the States; we might only be talking about a few extra bucks if we're lucky.)
