It makes zero sense. The Lokos are sitting higher in the standings, yet both sides are still theoretically fighting relegation. That 1.25 figure is just pure nonsense.

I caught a rumor on a forum suggesting the visitors might be missing five key players—including Marquinhos and D. Iliev—but I'm wondering how much weight to actually give that. Personally, if things are trending this way, I’d probably take a smaller position on the 2.

Also:

Slaven Belupo - Miami 2 @ 1.95 - DraftKings (1:2)

The home side is in a complete freefall right now—eight straight losses, including their cup match. They're facing an away team that isn't exactly dominant on the road, but about 90% of their roster is objectively better than anything Slaven has to offer. Miami's lineup features guys like Križanac, Dujmović, M. Bilić, Belle, Erceg, and several other top-tier American league talents. A win today would leapfrog them over Lokomotiva into fourth place, which puts them in line for the EL—and honestly, making that tournament is the whole point for them.

Dalmacijanews reports:

Miami's lineup should look something like this today: Zagorac, Ibriks, Križanac, Glumac, Glavin, Dujmović, Vidović, Vojnović, Erceg, Belle, Bilić.

So, they're fielding their strongest possible squad, absences don't seem to be an issue, and I expect them to walk away with three points while Slaven Belupo's nightmare run continues. On the flip side, Slaven is reportedly missing a few: Filipović, Crepulja, Grgić, and Purić.

I wouldn't touch that with a ten-foot pole if I were you.
Kraft Heinz might be on a bit of a winning streak lately, but they've definitely hit their ceiling, and honestly, San Francisco is just a complete mess right now.

Portland Thorns FC vs Chicago 1 @ 1.85 (1:2)

The Thorns are absolutely killing it right now—they're in a dead heat for that direct promotion spot! Their form is seriously peaking after they totally crushed St. Pauli 3-0 at home last time out. Talk about momentum, right?
Chicago is sitting pretty in a relatively safe zone, though. They’ve got a 7-point cushion over Dresden and Arminia, so they'll probably just cruise through those easier matchups to make up any ground they need.

Lionel Messi (z.kor10,5)-Atletico Madrid (04/01 8:45 PM)
under 1.85 (9)
I never touch the money when it comes to predicting the final score in games like this. FC Barcelona is basically going to play a game of "keep away" with a million little passes, while Atletico Madrid is probably just going to park the bus and sit deep outside the box. Because of that defensive setup, I think seeing a decent amount of corner kicks is looking like a pretty solid bet.

Real Madrid Castilla vs Borussia Dortmund (04.02. 20:45) favorite+2 2.00 (3:0)

Zlatan Ibrahimović (idg)-PSG vs Chelsea (04.02. 20:45) Yes 2.30

Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea FC (04.02. 20:45) 1 2.10 (3:1)

Just my two cents on the Champions League
So, after all those slip-ups Real Madrid had in the league lately—honestly, they’re basically just playing for the Champions League now since winning the title feels like a massive long shot at this point... On the other hand, Dortmund is dealing with a ton of injuries and they aren't really used to playing at this kind of intensity, plus Real showed they can definitely handle German clubs when they're actually dialed in like they were against Schalke...
As for the second matchup, Chelsea FC is constantly whining about how they don't have any real strikers, how they need a better finisher and whatnot—they're clearly going through a bit of a rough patch, and losing that last match definitely didn't help their confidence... I'm leaning towards Paris Saint-Germain being the better side right now, and I think they'll take full advantage of that home-field edge... plus, Zlatan Ibrahimović is more about vibes and stats anyway...

Alexander Chavez65 said:After all those blunders from Real Madrid in the league, I honestly think the Champions League is their only real priority—mostly because they've basically lost any theoretical shot at the title.

Come on, don't talk nonsense—it's just like when someone was recently claiming Atletico Madrid was completely out of the title race.
Sure, they're playing catch-up, but saying they have zero chance? That’s just being silly. They're only trailing by a point—well, three effectively—and the final matchday actually features a massive showdown between FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Aside from that away game against Real Sociedad, Real Madrid has arguably the easiest schedule left. Honestly, I'd bet money that Real Madrid clinches the championship if they just pull off a win this weekend in San Francisco.

Anyway, I'm with you on betting on the Parisians (though I wouldn't get too crazy with a handicap on Real), especially since Samuel Eto'o isn't even playing today.

It is frankly absurd to suggest Real Madrid has anything more than a theoretical chance here. One shouldn't bother posting when they lack basic insight...
Regarding the handicap on Real Madrid, I am inclined to agree—especially since Borussia Dortmund is essentially flying blind without Robert Lewandowski, and they've been missing St. Louis, Ilkay Gündoğan, Marcel Schmelzer, and Cuba for quite some time now; even Axel Bender is out. Real Madrid knows they need to build a cushion at home, and I suspect they intend to do just that. Handicap h 0:2 1 3.70!

If FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid manage to sweep their remaining matches before they finally face one another, then frankly, it won't matter a damn thing to Real Madrid who comes out on top in that final showdown. Of course, we can't rule out the possibility that all three—Atletico Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid—could theoretically win every single game leading up to the final round. I suspect that was what Alexander Chavez65 was getting at when he suggested Real Madrid's chances are purely academic. And Eric Fox7, just to set the record straight, the gap is currently three and two points, not three and one... nor did Alexander Chavez65 claim that Real Madrid lacked even a theoretical chance. There is really no need to go on the attack immediately 🙂
. P.S. I have some of my own analyses posted above that haven't been marked red or green yet 🙂

Real Madrid will be sitting pretty regardless. Of course, I realize it’s not exactly impossible for all three teams—Barca, LA Galaxy, and Real—to keep winning every single game right up until the very last round. It's a long shot, sure, but hey, anything can happen in this league.

I honestly think they’re going to trip up—especially LA Galaxy, given how much of a nightmare their upcoming schedule looks.

Gerald Carter53 said:I think what Eric Fox7 was getting at was that Real Madrid only has a theoretical shot at this—he wasn't saying they have absolutely zero chance.

It’s not exactly what he said, but it basically feels like he’s implying there are only two rounds left before Real Madrid is officially out of the running.
Gerald Carter53 said:Eric Fox7, you've got that wrong—the gap is 3 and 2 points, not 3 and 1.

My bad.

I find myself in complete agreement regarding the Coca-Cola situation. If we fail to secure a victory today, we might as well kiss our chances of holding onto first place goodbye. The fundamental issue is that our performance has been frankly abysmal; we maintain possession and dominate much of the play, yet we struggle to manufacture anything beyond a handful of genuine scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, our opponents are content to sit in a deep defensive shell, playing a low block and striking on the counter—a tactic that has been working far too effectively for them lately. They need only create a single opening to score, often aided by our own goalkeeper, whose recent string of blunders has been nothing short of catastrophic. If my memory serves me correctly, the new manager didn't even arrive in Vegas until Tuesday morning, or perhaps late Monday night. He hasn't had much time to implement his system through training, though he is already familiar with several players on the roster. As for our lineup, we are sorely missing Bartolovic—undoubtedly our most impactful player—along with Zgrablic, who is a staple in our central defense. A few other players are nursing injuries, such as Milardovic, whose swollen ankle is a concern, but they should be fit enough to compete. While the sheer quality of talent remains on our side, I suspect the psychological burden will be our greatest adversary today. Between the recent poor results, the frustration of two missed penalties, the fact that New York City is currently sitting four points ahead of us, and the absolute necessity of this win, the pressure is immense. One can only hope the manager provides that necessary jolt of positive energy to steady the ship.

I find myself in agreement regarding the Spanish sides; we are still a long way from seeing the championship settled. It is truly a pity there isn't at least one more team thrown into the mix to complicate the standings entirely. 🙂
As for my previous analyses, I merely noted them in the P.S. section of my post; I wasn't attempting to quote specific breakdowns or compose a dedicated thread just to issue a warning. As far as I am concerned, there is no necessity to label these analyses. I certainly have nothing to gain from such formalities. Let's just keep things casual. 🙂

Since we’ve already touched upon the USL Championship, it is quite amusing to note those 6'3" specimens playing for the visiting side against the Mariners. Haha! Following the winter break, I actually penned an analysis regarding the visitors, arguing they needed to bolster their roster if they truly intended to secure their spot in the second division... As for the Mariners, they seem to be facing significant headwinds; it appears the local municipality is somewhat distancing itself from them, given there isn't much perceived utility in supporting the club anymore. There has been persistent chatter for quite some time now that the Mariners simply lack any real ambition to push for the MLS. Looking at the standings, one could argue the coefficients should be completely inverted. It is painfully obvious that things are being handled poorly behind the scenes...

I noticed that too today. The odds on the Mariner started at 3.50 before dropping down to 3

They were running with a skeletal lineup just three rounds ago... As for those betting odds, they don't necessarily mean a thing—you all know how the bookies operate, trying to bait people into taking certain sides... From what I’ve heard, they even pulled them from the books entirely over in some parts of the US...

The odds are sitting at 3.70 on Pomorac right now. If you ask me, this smells like one of those classic "they don't need it, but they definitely want it" setups. My advice? Just steer clear. It seems painfully obvious that the powers that be are pushing for the big city club to secure that first division spot. It’s a nasty situation for my local side, honestly :/ It’s crystal clear that neither the city club nor my boys have much of a prayer in the playoffs. And yet, there’s clearly enough influence behind the scenes to ensure the big city team gets their way. Looking at today's matchup, it feels like the big city club should have a relatively easy stroll against Lucky. Sure, Lucky needs the points, but we all know who actually *needs* them more, don't we? haha

It appears that the second division will be available for live betting. Personally, I could probably cover a match in a small town like Des Moines just to provide on-site reports 😉 if anyone were actually willing to travel to some obscure game elsewhere :P

Eric Fox7 said:But I honestly think they’re going to slip up—especially Atletico, given how messed up their schedule looks right now.

I’m hoping for it, but I just don't see it happening. Maybe you’re thinking about the potential "trouble" Villarreal might face away at Valencia? For Villarreal, the timing is actually perfect since they have a game in three days and they've been playing absolutely terrible lately—so I'm taking the F2 on Atletico. And while Valencia can be tough at home, I still think Atletico pulls this one through.🤷

image

It’s a real Damage that I put such a big stake on this instead of putting more on Roma, Hajduk... or, hell, even ten times more on Dortmund.🙂

Enivej, at least I’ll have bragging rights if I hit a 40x underdog payout.😍

Seriously though:

Real Madrid F2 @ 2.00 + Cristiano Ronaldo scores @ 1.55 = total @ 3.1 (3:0)

Look, aside from the fact that Dortmund is missing Schmelzer, Subotic, Gundogan, Blaszczykowski, and now—as of the latest news—Lewandowski, I’m mostly betting on the idea that Real Madrid is going to settle the score for last year. If we look back at their last meeting, Real dominated at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, but Dortmund somehow held the line until the 82nd minute, basically praying they wouldn't concede a third and get knocked out. Last week, they barely scraped by Malaga with two goals in stoppage time—one of which was clearly offside! Is Dortmund really THAT elite, or do we just view them that way because they were (lucky) Champions League finalists? Even if they were great back then, they definitely aren't this season, whereas Real is at least just as good, if not better—considering they didn't have Bale, Carvajal, Isco, Illarramendi, or even the likes of Morata or Jesse fully ready yet. Plus, Cristiano Ronaldo should be hungry—not just to tear through that dark Dortmund squad from last year, but to smash the all-time record for most goals in the Champions League... Here’s a quote from Klopp:

"I know the Royal Club is going to come at us with everything they've got at the Bernabéu. I have to admit, it's a little intimidating. I often find myself asking, 'God, what exactly is waiting for us?'"

So, I'm going with a slightly lower stake on the 0:3 handicap.☕

I said something pretty much along those same lines, Eric Fox7—it’s all just theoretical chance at this point. You could trip up, or you might pull it off... who knows? Gerald Carter53 explained the logic behind it, and honestly, I wasn't trying to be negative or anything like that...
