USA - Czech Republic - X - 4.00 (2-4)

Look, the USA isn't actually that bad—they're tough at home and don't lose nearly as often as people think. Now, the Czech Republic? They scraped by with a 2-goal win against Turkey even though they played like garbage. They basically rode the momentum from an emotional burnout after getting crushed by the Dutch—who were running some weird experimental lineup under Hiddink. And honestly, we've seen this pattern before: all the big powerhouses tend to drop their opening matches after the World Cup. All things considered, this is a solid value play, even if the Czech Republic is clearly the favorite... but I wouldn't touch the draw at 2.50 because the USA just isn't quite bad enough to throw the game entirely. 😁 We could easily see a 0-0 deadlock here.

Latvia-Turkey - 2 - 1.65 (1-1)

Turkey has a way better squad than these two losses suggest—don't let the standings fool you. That loss against the Czech Republic was total robbery, and today they’re going to be playing with a massive chip on their shoulder to grind out a win against Latvia. They have to stay in the hunt for the World Cup because this group is anything but easy.

They’re opting to stream this U19 match live, yet the other two games won't be available on ESPN or anything similar. I'm checking my phone right now and there's absolutely nothing listed. It would be nice if we could actually see the France vs. Mexico matchup. Honestly, an outright win for France should be enough to cover it, though they really need to step up their game if they want to secure it. As for the Mexicans, they’re desperate for a win, and they'll likely run right over these underdogs. Right now, the odds are sitting at something like 3+ at 1.15—laughable, really. If there were any live betting options available, I'd definitely be looking to grab a 5+ spread or maybe even a handicap...

I figured I’d throw in a few 😁

Germany vs. Ireland 1 @1.25 (1-1)

At this point, this is a "must-win" scenario for the world champions. Even with a few players sidelined by injury, they are objectively a tier above Ireland.
After dropping a game away against Poland, Germany is back on home soil and absolutely needs to hunt down a win. They have superior talent, and historically, they play with intensity from kickoff until the final whistle.
The Germans beat Scotland 2-1 at home—and let’s be honest, Scotland ranks higher than Ireland on the FIFA list anyway—so there really isn't much of a debate here. You simply cannot have the reigning world champions suffering two consecutive losses. In their last meeting, Germany cruised to a 3-0 victory at home.

Denmark vs. Portugal X2 @1.40 (0-1)

To be perfectly blunt, I’m only playing this because of one specific name: Cristiano Ronaldo. He's making his return today.
Portugal is desperate for points right now—they’re sitting on zero—and since one of the greatest players to ever walk the face of the planet is finally back in the lineup, they essentially have no excuse not to secure a result. Denmark might be happy walking away with a draw since it would bump them up to first place. Their last head-to-head ended in a 2-3 win for Portugal.

Poland vs. Scotland: Both Teams to Score
Poland to score @1.20 (2-2)

Logically speaking, this looks like a solid play. Poland has been clinical lately, averaging 9 goals, while Scotland has been sitting at 2-2.
Germany put two past the Scots at home, and then Poland went out and put two past those same Germans on their own turf. Poland boasts several high-caliber players who feature heavily in top European leagues, unlike the Scottish squad. Given that Scotland took the last friendly 1-0, it's high time for some revenge and a goal in the Scottish net.

Germany just handed Scotland a 2-1 loss on home soil—and frankly, Scotland is sitting higher on the FIFA rankings than Ireland.
There’s really no debate here—World Champions simply cannot afford back-to-back losses. Looking at their last meeting, Germany walked away with a clean 3-0 win on home soil.

I suspect you’re the first person looking at the FIFA rankings when picking your roster from this PDF. 🤣

The United States vs. England match is set for October 14th at 6:00 PM. The odds for a home win or a draw sitting at 1.60 feel somewhat optimistic to me, especially considering we're looking at that narrow 1-2 scoreline margin. It’s one of those scenarios where you find yourself weighing the statistical probability against the sheer unpredictability of the game. We’re expecting a massive turnout for this one—probably around 5,000 fans, which is nearly the entire 6,000-seat capacity of the stadium. On the roster front, we’ve had to sit out Čorić, Župarić, and Pavičić, but we’ve brought in Halilović, Groupec, Šimunović, and Galović to fill those gaps. Meanwhile, the Americans are bringing back Hughes and Keane to bolster their lineup. Look, the US squad is undeniably strong, but I have a feeling our younger guys might just pull off a draw, if not an outright win, especially with the home crowd behind them and Halilović playing a bit more inspired football at this level than he does with the senior national team.

Spain vs. Mexico (21-21) | October 14th, 6:00 PM 1@1,25 (1-2)The Spanish squad certainly boasts an intimidating roster when you look at the names on paper—players like Isco, Sergi Roberto, Morata, Muniain, and Munir carry a lot of weight. They managed to grind out a scoreless draw against the Mexicans during their last away match, but quite frankly, I don't see them standing a chance against the Americans today. If you look at the recent run of results, everything seems to be pointing toward a very different outcome for this matchup.
The United States U21 national team. A total shutout. A complete and utter demolition. To see a scoreline like 4-0 is always a bit sobering, isn't it? It’s one of those results that leaves you wondering exactly what went wrong on one side and how things managed to click so perfectly on the other. Such a lopsided affair.
The United States U21 squad. The score stands at 3 to 2, following that intense matchup against Canada.
It’s hard to wrap my head around a scoreline like that—it’s essentially a total collapse on the pitch. Seeing a 1–6 blowout is always a bit grim to witness, isn't it? It feels less like a competitive match and more like a complete breakdown of structure and morale. You have to wonder what went wrong in the locker room or during the tactical setup to allow such a lopsided result to unfold. The United States U21 national team.
The United States U21 squad fell short in their latest outing, coming away with a 0-2 loss. It wasn't exactly the performance we were hoping for, though I suppose there’s a certain quiet dignity in a clean sheet for the opposition, even if it leaves us looking a bit stagnant on the pitch. The United States U21 squad.
The United States U21 squad. The U21 match ended 2-0 in favor of Germany.
The U21 match between the United States and Canada ended in a narrow 1-0 victory for the visitors. It was one of those games that felt more like a tactical chess match than a high-octane football spectacle—a slow burn that ultimately favored the disciplined structure of the opposition over our own attempts to find a rhythm. The United States U21 squad.
The United States U21 squad.
A 1-1 draw against the Austrian U21 squad. Not exactly the result we were dreaming of, I suppose, but there’s a certain quiet dignity in a hard-fought stalemate like this.
The U21 match ended in a scoreless draw, much to the chagrin of those expecting a bit more offensive spark from the pitch. It was one of those frustratingly quiet evenings where neither side could quite find the rhythm necessary to break the deadlock. The United States U21 squad.

October 14th, 8:45 PM: San Marino vs. Switzerland More than 1.25 (0-4)The Swiss national team has been on quite a rough patch lately, suffering through a string of defeats that’s hard to ignore. Their recent loss against Canada was particularly frustrating; they played their hearts out, but luck just wasn't on their side this time around. After two matches, they've tumbled to the very bottom of the standings—it's a bit embarrassing to admit, but at this rate, even a team like San Marino would be looking down on them. 😁 Given that recent loss to the Canadians, I suspect Coach Miller isn't going to leave anything to chance—no rotation, no resting the starters, nothing. He’ll likely go all out against San Marino today, aiming to absolutely dismantle them just to pad the goal difference as much as possible.

I find myself unable to concur with the notion that if the stadium capacity sits at roughly 6,000, we can expect an actual turnout of about 5,000. We all know exactly how many die-hard supporters follow the national team, and more importantly, where their loyalties lie regarding the federation's direction 🙂 I fully anticipate a barrage of insults directed toward the US Soccer Federation and the leadership surrounding them. We shall see whether the rest of the crowd chooses to remain silent or if they decide to erupt, much like the outbursts witnessed last night in St. Louis. This entire sentiment stands entirely apart from the logic of your analysis, if you'll pardon my bluntness...

MLS Over 3.5 @ 1.80 (1-0)

Look, both these teams are absolute goal machines... it's ridiculous.
The home side—let's call 'em LA Galaxy—is averaging about 3.5 goals per game, and the visitors are right up there too, hovering near 3.
But here’s the kicker: Galaxy is playing without two key defenders tonight—they've got one sidelined with an injury and another sitting out due to suspension... so yeah, their backline is looking pretty thin.
On the flip side, this visiting squad is offensively lethal—honestly, they've only failed to find the net in a single league match all year.
When you look at the stats, everything screams "over"... I mean, Galaxy has pumped in 13 goals during their last four home games, while the visitors have scored at least once in every single away match this season.
Galaxy might start with their strongest possible lineup, but that defense? It's a massive handicap since they don't have a single reliable center-back on the bench to bail them out.
If you're looking for a logical play here, you go with the goals... it's just common sense at this point.

Saturday, 07:00 LA Galaxy vs. LAFC: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.85, Over 3.5 @ 2.40 (Parlay) (6+ @ 8.00 (Parlay), 7+ @ 18.00 GS) (1-0)

A little context on these two teams before we dive in. Both sides are still secretly nursing that hope for the championship—even if the LA Galaxy is sitting about 7 or 8 points behind the leaders right now. But hey, there are still 7 games left on the schedule, and in this league, miracles happen. They both score plenty, but they also leak goals like a sieve—we're looking at an average of roughly 3 goals per match for both squads. This pick is purely based on the numbers, though the data really speaks for itself:

image

Look at that—in their last ten head-to-head matchups, every single one saw over 2.5 goals. That’s 48 total goals, which works out to a casual 4.8 goals per game.

If I manage to wake up early enough, I might try to grab the live bet for over 4.5 in the first half.

Both teams have a history of seeing swings in momentum—they've both hit those high markers twice recently—so it wouldn't be a bad idea to look at 🙂)

Everton vs. Aston Villa: Everton ML @ 1.60; Everton Over 1.5 goals @ 1.65 (Predicting 3-0)

Everton is way better than their current standing suggests. Meanwhile, Aston Villa had a decent start but then totally fell apart, dropping three straight against Man City, Arsenal, and Chelsea while getting outscored 8-0. Everton has found the net in every single game, scoring two or more goals in four of their last six. They haven't picked up a home win yet this season, but that's about to change.

Man, Manchester City vs. Tottenham at 1.75 odds—I’m calling it a 4-1 blowout.
Looking back at their recent head-to-head matchups: 1-5, 6-0, 3-1, 2-1, 3-2, and 1-5. Spurs have seen both teams find the net in three of their last four outings, while City has hit that mark in four of their last six (if you don't count those weird cup games against tiny lower-league sides). Honestly, there isn't much more to dissect here; both offenses are firing on all cylinders right now.

Freiburg vs. Wolfsburg at 1.70—going with a 1-2 result.
Their recent history shows: 2-2, 0-3, 2-5, 0-2, 3-2, 3-0, 2-1, and 2-1. Wolfsburg has been an absolute machine for the "both teams to score" market, hitting it 11 out of 13 times this season, and Freiburg has covered it in 5 of their last 6. Given how high-scoring the Bundesliga can get, this is a killer value play.

Real Madrid vs. Barcelona — Over 2.5 goals @ 1.75 (Current prediction: 3-1)

Honestly, I can't think of a safer bet on my sportsbook at these odds—seriously! Looking back at their last 18 head-to-head matchups, 16 of them went over that 2.5 goal line. Ever since things leveled out back in 2011, it’s just been one massive shootout after another!
Plus, sure, Barca hasn't conceded a goal in the league yet, but let's be real—they haven't faced anyone actually intimidating. We saw them play against the Celtics, and man, they looked solid defensively... but Pike isn't the same powerhouse he used to be. He's basically just floating around out there lately—I mean, listening to the broadcast, the commentators are absolutely tearing him apart for those sloppy mistakes!

And don't forget, Suarez, Neymar, and Messi are all back in the lineup too! On the other side, you've got Ronaldo, Hazard, Benzema—everyone is healthy and ready to go. Who on earth is supposed to stop that firepower?
Even Casillas is looking pretty shaky these days, so I just don't see any way this game doesn't turn into a total scoring frenzy!

It appears that Neymar will be unavailable due to his recent suspension.

Edit: Upon further review, it seems he has only accumulated a single yellow card this season, which suggests my previous information was inaccurate.

CSKA Moscow vs. Man. City, Away win @ 1.7 ; Over 2 goals @ 1.65 (2-2)
After just two matches, City have already fallen behind Roma, and they're trailing even further behind Bayern Munich. Despite dominating the Premier League over the last few seasons, these guys just can't seem to pull off anything meaningful in Europe; if they don't get a win today, I honestly think we're looking at another season of total disappointment. CSKA isn't exactly having a field day in European play either—they got hammered 5-1 by Roma in matchday one, and then lost 0-1 at home to Bayern last time out. Sure, they’re doing fine back home in Russia where they sit in 2nd place with an 8-0-2 record, including a massive 6-0 blowout against Kuban recently (they were one of only two unbeaten teams alongside Zenit at the time), and they've won five straight games with a goal difference of 19:4. But like I said before, this is becoming the classic CSKA pattern: they cruise through domestic play but can't scrape even a single point in the Champions League. On the flip side, City comes into this with incredible momentum from their league play, having crushed Tottenham 4-1—which easily could have been 7-1 thanks to four clinical goals from Aguero—marking their third straight victory. There really isn't much point comparing the quality of these two squads; the talent gap is overwhelmingly on the English side. The fans, the front office, everyone at the club is desperate for a win today just to keep a glimmer of hope alive for the Round of 16.
Pairing the away win with an Over on goals seems like the move here. Both sides are incredibly efficient offensively—as I mentioned, CSKA has dropped 19 goals in their last five games, and you don't need a degree to know how lethal City is—and I expect them to come out swinging from the opening whistle because, frankly, they have nothing left to lose. CSKA failed to score against both Bayern and Spartak in 18 matches this season, while City hasn't been shut out in their last 11, excluding games against Stoke and Bayern. Last season, these two were in the same group, and City took both matches—a 2-1 win away and a 5-2 win at home. I'm betting we see a similar shootout today.

Porto vs. Bilbao, Home win @ 1.65 (2-1)
Going from being a rock-solid, high-quality squad last year, Bilbao has basically turned into a punching bag. They haven't managed a single win in their last eight outings, stumbling through three draws and five losses. To make matters worse, they've lost all five of their competitive away matches this season, leaving them with a dismal 2:12 goal differential. Porto, however, remains a powerhouse at home; for several seasons now, very few teams have walked away with anything other than a loss at the Estádio do Dragão. Even though Sporting pulled off a little upset in the cup this past weekend, I highly doubt the Portuguese side will repeat that mistake. If you count their friendlies, their home record is 6-2-0, and they hadn't lost a single game in 16 matches leading up to this weekend (10-6-0). A win here would put the home side in a fantastic position, sitting on 7 points after three matches and putting them within striking distance of the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Bilbao will be fighting just to stay relevant in La Liga if they keep playing like this, and I think they've already accepted that they aren't going to leave any mark on the European stage this year. This is a killer price for a Porto win against an opponent in this state.

Bate Borisov vs. Shakhtar Donetsk - Home Win (1.70) @ DraftKings (0-7)

The odds are a joke considering Bate Borisov is at home.
If they were playing away against Shakhtar, these odds might actually look reasonable, but even then, they'd be too high. I see massive value in a double chance here. Bate isn't losing. Their defense is tight and organized, and they’re a fortress at home—even big clubs better than an average Shakhtar squad haven't been able to break them down there.

10/10

Bate Borisov vs. Shakhtar Donetsk - Home Win (3.80) @ DraftKings

An outright win for Bate is also highly likely.

Seattle Sounders vs. FC Cincinnati 1 1.55; f+2 2.30 (2-0)
Just looking at the league standings, it's obvious the home side is ranked way higher, but what really gives me total confidence here is checking the visitors' official website—they just posted their traveling squad list for today’s match. It's basically a bunch of academy kids and benchwarmers; you might spot one or two guys from the main roster, but let's be real, most of them are just there to keep the bench warm.

Galatasaray vs. Dortmund: Both teams to score at 1.60 (0-4)
Galatasaray to score at 1.40

We’re looking at two massive attacking sides here, but they are coming from completely different directions in terms of momentum. Galatasaray just took down their rivals in the big derby over the weekend and climbed into 2nd place in the domestic standings, whereas Dortmund is absolutely struggling, picking up their 5th loss in just 8 matches against Cologne. Klopp’s squad is playing way below their standard in the Bundesliga—sitting all the way down in 14th place—even though they managed to grab two wins in the Champions League before this third matchday. The Germans are going to be missing Mkhitaryan, Immobile, and Schmelzer today since Klopp is clearly rotating them to save them for league play. On the flip side, the home team is looking complete; Prandelli has finally dialed in a system that actually utilizes their talent (that 4-3-3 setup with Altintop, Yilmaz, and Sneijder leading the charge), and they’ve rattled off three straight league wins. They did struggle against Arsenal in the last CL round (4-1), and they had that annoying slip-up against Anderlecht (1-1) earlier on, too. Honestly, it's tough to call who walks away with the win, but goals? Goals look like a lock. With guys like Reus, Aubameyang, Kagawa, Ramos, and Bender on one side, and that trio I mentioned on the other, you have to expect an efficient game where both nets get hit. Galatasaray has seen "Both Teams to Score" hit in 5 of their last 6 matches (with four of those being high-scoring 3+ goal affairs), while Dortmund has seen that same outcome in 5 of their last 9 (though twice they were shut out and twice they failed to score).
At the end of the day, I'm convinced the home side is going to come out swinging from the first whistle to hunt for a win, which means they should find the back of the net at least once, and I'm expecting Dortmund to finally wake up and play a decent game and bag a goal of their own.

I’m leaning toward taking the over on 3.5 yellow cards here. We have Antonio Mateo Lahoz officiating, and I actually wrote a piece about him back when we were facing off against the Bulgarian national team. He tends to run a high average when it comes to card counts. While neither side is exactly known for being overly aggressive, that shouldn't matter much. The atmosphere is going to be absolutely electric, and frankly, the Turkish side is desperate for points. Four yellows doesn't feel like a tall order for a match with this kind of tension.

We’re looking at two sides that live and breathe attacking football, though they're coming from totally different places right now. Galatasaray just took down their rivals in the big derby over the weekend and climbed to 2nd in the league, while Dortmund—well, they've stumbled through five losses in eight games, including a rough one against Cologne. Klopp’s squad is playing way below their standard in the Bundesliga, sitting down in 14th, but strangely enough, they’ve managed two wins in the Champions League before this third matchday. The Germans will be missing Mkhitaryan, Immobile, and Schmelzer today—Klopp's rotating them out for the domestic stretch. On the other hand, the home side is looking solid; the manager has finally nailed a system that lets them actually use their talent (a 4-3-3 featuring Altintop, Yilmaz, and Sneijder leading the charge), and they've rattled off three straight league wins. They did take a bruising 4-1 loss to Arsenal in the last CL round, and they stumbled in a 1-1 draw against Anderlecht earlier on, but it's hard to call a winner here. What *is* easy to see is the goal potential. You've got Reus, Aubameyang, Kagawa, Ramos, and Bender on one side, facing off against that trio I mentioned on the other—it feels like a recipe for an open game where both sides find the net. Galatasaray has seen Over 2.5 goals in five of their last six matches (four of those being 3+ goals), while Dortmund hit that mark in five of their last nine (though twice they were shut out and twice they couldn't stop the opposition).
Anyway, I'm convinced the home team is going to come out swinging from the first whistle—which usually means they'll grab at least one—and I'm expecting Dortmund to finally play a decent match and find the back of the net themselves.

Personally, I might lean toward a straight win for the home side (just so we aren't staring at a 0-5 halftime score 🤣), because the odds are honestly mouth-watering—around @4.50 on some sites—given how abysmal the visitors' form has been. Honestly, I have no clue how Dortmund managed to pull two wins in the CL with the way they've been playing. Galatasaray just won the biggest derby in the country, so their confidence must be through the roof. Sneijder has already dropped two absolute screamers lately, and he could easily pull it off again tonight.

So, yeah,
Galatasaray ML @ 4.50
Sneijder to score @ 4.10

I'd love to parlay them, but the local sportsbook won't let me (the odds for player + outcome are too low), and the other site only gives me @4.20 for the straight win.

I have to admit, this looks like a rather solid lead to me...

Liverpool (3.5) vs. Real Madrid (2.2) (Oct 22, 8:45 PM) Over 1.5 goals @ 1.60 (1)-Beyond the fact that we have an Italian referee on duty—someone like Nick Rizzoli, who hasn't finished a single one of his last eight matches without handing out at least four yellow cards—there’s the sheer physicality to consider. You've got the inevitable clashes between guys like Pepe and Ramos versus Ballotelli, or Škretl against Lovren, and then there's Ronaldo squaring off against Benzema. Not to mention the tactical fouls from players like Gerrard, Modrić, Illara, or Kroos when they're trying to stop a counter-attack mid-stride. It's bound to get messy.
