Manchester United - Club Brugge 1 1,40 SS (3-1)

The devils are hungry for the Champions League—and frankly, they have the superior quality. It’s already been noted that their defense is looking solid enough, even if they're relying on a third-choice keeper right now. Meanwhile, Club Brugge is struggling with some key absences; honestly, playing at Old Trafford, a victory for them shouldn't even be on the table.

Lazio - Bayer Leverkusen 2-3 goals 1,90 SS (1-0)

Looking at current form, recent friendly results, and the fact that Lazio is missing their starting goalkeeper, their top striker, and their best defender, I’m leaning toward the pharmacists. In my view, they are simply the stronger side here. That said, Lazio has kept things together well, and anything can happen at the Olympic Stadium. I expect both sides to find the back of the net, but I don't see a massive goal fest—the stakes are just too high, especially with 180 minutes of football to play.

BATE Borisov - Partizan under 2.5 goals 1,50 SS (1-0)

The Belarusians tend to play in low-scoring affairs. Both BATE and Partizan have seen fewer than three goals in three of their last four qualifying matches—noting that Partizan's were both away, while BATE's was just that first game against those weaker Irish opponents where they saw three goals. With everything riding on this, I'm not expecting a masterpiece—at least not from this particular matchup. 😁

Stortford vs. Chelmsford: Over 2.5 @ 1.72 ; Over 3.5 @ 2.85 (1-2)

In the US lower leagues, we have a local derby on the horizon. While these squads are largely semi-professional, both sides boast a few standout players who sharpened their skills at more prestigious clubs like West Ham United or Blackburn Rovers.
These two clubs share a deep history and a fierce rivalry. Can we expect anything less than an open, attacking game? Given the stakes, I don't think anyone will be playing overly cautious football.
With plenty of local die-hards expected to show up, the atmosphere should be electric for this level of play. It is all about prestige here—it is about proving who truly runs this town.

Both teams have kicked off their season with impressive scoring efficiency. Statistically, both clubs are known for high-scoring affairs. Will the intensity escalate even further? Anyone who has ever played organized soccer knows that nothing quite matches the adrenaline of a local derby.

The visitors are dealing with a few injury concerns. Their most significant absences are starting defenders Michael Toner and Ashley Miller.

Both sides are promising an offensive showcase. Do I believe this margin will hit? I certainly do.

Manchester United - Club Brugge 1 (1.40) (SS/HL) (3-1)

With Club Brugge missing so many players, this is a game United absolutely has to win. I hate betting on favorites like this—it’s usually a trap—but I agree with most of the people above me. United just has more quality right now. Club Brugge had a solid run in the Europa League last season, and they belong in the group stages again. Teams from England don't just fall out in the qualifiers (unless you're talking about Everton 😁), and I think the winning streak will continue.

FC Basel - Maccabi TA 1 (1.55) (PSK) (2-2)

The top seed against the lowest seed. Neither side is going to be happy with this draw. Still, I'm leaning toward FC Basel. They’ve been way more consistent lately, coming off five straight wins in their domestic league with an average of nearly three goals per game. The league in Israel hasn't even started yet, and Maccabi barely scraped past Viktoria Plzen in a weird two-legged tie. In my book, they're a step below Basel.

Greetings to everyone. To start things off, here is my selection for tonight’s action, which should be kicking off shortly.

Iceland 2. Division
Haukar(2,5)-Thor Akureyri Over@1,55 SS (1-0)

Icelanders are generally known for high-scoring affairs, aren't they? The home side has seen four of their last five matches clear the over 2.5 goal mark; twice they even saw four goals scored, while once they settled on a 2-0 result. A similar trend exists with the visitors, who have hit the over in four of their last five outings—specifically seeing 4, 7, 5, and 3 goals—though their most recent match ended in a 0-0 stalemate. When looking at their head-to-head history, four of their last five meetings have gone over, producing 3, 5, 4, and 3 goals respectively. I don't foresee any significant issues with this pick.

Skanderbeg vs LA Galaxy/Skanderbeg scores a goal, 1.57 bet365 (1-2)
LA Galaxy couldn't have asked for an easier draw in this Champions League playoff. The Americans got incredibly lucky with the third qualifying round draw, cruising past Orlando City SC with two consecutive 2-0 wins to get them right to the doorstep of the elite tier. Obviously, LA Galaxy are massive favorites in this matchup, but honestly? I think the bookies have slightly underestimated the Skanderbeg attack while way overestimating the Galaxy defense. The home side will likely start with a more cautious setup using just a single striker, but I fully expect the wingers to push forward aggressively during the finishing stages—because playing ultra-defensive at home is just insane, and they aren't LA Galaxy! These guys have conceded goals in three out of their last four qualifying matches; only those amateurs from Folio managed to keep a clean sheet against them at home. As for their MLS run, they've conceded in three out of six games. The defense is hands down the weakest link in this squad because Painter, Sigal, Simunovic, and Pivarić offer zero confidence and make sloppy mistakes far too often.
On the flip side, while the Americans have faced much weaker opposition than LA Galaxy up to this point, their clinical edge has been incredible—averaging about 2.5 goals per game. Last season they beat BATE Borisov at home, and the year before that, they put three past Shakhtar Donetsk at home (who eventually knocked out New York Celtic that year), plus a 1-2 win against Nefciu back in 2012 and a 1-0 win over Debrecen at home... Based on these odds, you really have to believe they can find the net against an unsteady Galaxy side, who will probably end up scoring more than once themselves.

FC Basel vs Maccabi Tel Aviv 1, 1.51 Pinnacle (h-1.5 1, 2.35 bet365) (2-2)
There is a massive gap in quality between these two sides. FC Basel has been a regular fixture in the Champions League over the last few seasons, and I truly believe that tradition is going to continue this year. They’ve been playing brilliantly all season; they’ve won 8 straight matches across all competitions, covering the handicap 6 times in the process. Their attack is firing on all cylinders, and I expect them to press from the opening whistle to secure a comfortable lead before heading to Israel for the second leg.
Maccabi Tel Aviv pulled off a bit of a shock by upsetting Viktoria Plzen in the third qualifying round. They lost 2-1 at home, but in a wild finish over in Slovakia, they managed to hammer home two goals in the final 15 minutes to advance. You could argue that was the only bright spot for the Israelis all season. In the first qualifying round, they actually struggled against a weak Hibernians side, even losing 2-1 away. Then, just this past weekend, they lost the Super Cup to Kiryat Shmona after leading with an extra man on the pitch.
I don't see a squad like that being able to hold their own against FC Basel on the road, so I'm taking the win and the handicap.

I’m with you on FC Basel—honestly, I bet half the people out there have them on their parlay, just like everyone else had Manchester United yesterday. But I’ve been staring at the Ajax Amsterdam vs Jablonec line in Pinnacle, sitting at 1.59... I don't know, it feels a little high, maybe? Does Ajax Amsterdam even play in the Europa League?

Hell yeah they do! It's not like they're some Premier League giants who can afford to give a damn about the Europa League.🤣

LA Galaxy couldn't have asked for an easier draw in this Champions League playoff. The Albanians got incredibly lucky with the third qualifying round draw, breezing past Orlando City SC with back-to-back 2-0 wins to get themselves right to the doorstep of the big leagues. Look, everyone knows LA Galaxy are massive favorites here, but honestly? I think the bookies slightly underestimated how much bite that Albanian attack actually has while way overestimating our defense. The home side is probably going to start with a more cautious setup, likely sticking to a lone striker up top, but I’m betting the wingers are going to push high during the finishing stages. It would be absolutely mental to park the bus at home—this isn't LA Galaxy Barcelona! If you look at the stats, the Blues have conceded goals in three out of their last four qualifying matches. Only those amateurs over at Folio haven't managed to score against them on their own turf. Even looking at the MLS, they've let in goals in three of their last six games. The defense is hands down the weakest link in this squad. Between Painter, Sigal, Simunovic, and Pivarić, there's zero confidence to be found; they're constantly making sloppy mistakes.
Look, let’s be real—the Albanians have had a much easier run than they'll have against LA Galaxy. Their finishing has been clinical, though; I mean, they've been averaging about 2.5 goals per game. Last season, they handled BATE Borisov at home, and a couple of years back, they notched home wins against both Shakhtar Donetsk (who ended up knocking out New York Celtic later on) and Nefciu back in 2012. They even managed a goal against Debrecen at home in 2012. Honestly, looking at these odds, you’d almost have to believe they'll find the net today, even if things look a bit shaky. LA Galaxy? They'll probably end up scoring way more than just one.

Look, I’ve never quite wrapped my head around this logic. I get it—the odds on this specific bet look solid, and honestly, I agree with everything else you’ve laid out. But here’s what trips me up: if you’re so convinced that LA Galaxy is going to find the back of the net—and you actually think they’ll bag more than one goal—then why are we just sitting here betting on Skanderbeg? I mean, Marathon is offering 1.66 on that, which is fine, but why not aim higher? Why not go for "Both Teams to Score" at 2.04? Or better yet, "Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals" at 2.69 (again, via Marathon)? Or even what I’m personally putting my money on... Both sides score and LA Galaxy to win at 3.78 (1-2). At the Marathon...

The quality gap between these two sides is massive. FC Basel has been a regular fixture in the Champions League over the last few seasons, and I expect that streak to hold steady this year. They’ve been dominant all season—8 wins in 8 matches across all competitions, with 6 covering the handicap. Their attack is clicking, and I fully expect them to press from the opening whistle to secure a comfortable result for the return leg in Israel.
Maccabi Tel Aviv caught everyone off guard against Viktoria Plzen in the third qualifying round. I don't see a squad like that standing a chance against FC Basel on the road. I'm taking the win and the handicap odds.

I like this handicap on FC Basel. It’s a shame this wasn't posted a day or two earlier when the handicap was sitting at 2.70... In football, it's almost always smarter to place your bets a few days before kickoff to catch better lines. For instance, betting on weekend games during the week.

EDIT: I see the odds have climbed to 2.61. No idea why, but I'm still pulling the trigger on the FC Basel handicap.

Honestly, with football, you often find it way more profitable to get your money down a couple of days before kickoff because the odds are just significantly better; take today, for example—if you had placed your bets for the weekend already, you'd be sitting pretty right now.

I get it, really, but honestly, with all this tennis madness going on right now, I haven't given a single thought to the qualifiers for the LP Quote. 😁

By the way, Marathon is sitting at 1.66 for that. Why aren't we looking at something like Both Teams to Score at 2.04, or even better, both teams scoring over 2.5 goals at 2.69 (which is also on Marathon)? Honestly, that's exactly what I'm going to play myself. Both sides are going to score, and I'm calling it now: LA Galaxy takes the win at 3.78. Down at the Marathon...

That’s exactly why I’m sticking to the much safer options here. Honestly, I hate betting on LA Galaxy unless we're talking about an MLS match—I just don't trust them that way, even if they're expected to find the back of the net against the Albanians. In 90% of these scenarios, I’d usually go with "Both Teams to Score" or "BTTS and Over 2.5," but for reasons I know all too well, I'm passing on that today. Fingers crossed that all the picks mentioned actually hit! 😁

Slovan vs Hajduk / Hajduk to score 1.62 on Meridian (1.57 on bet365) (1-0)
Both teams to score 1.94 on Meridian

It’s the first leg of the Europa League playoffs, and the guys from Miami are chasing a massive result here. The media is having a field day speculating about who the favorite is in this matchup, but if you ask me, there isn't one. You've got two completely polar opposite sides: Slovan Bratislava is a gritty, seasoned squad, while the Miami crew is young, flashy, and technically superior. It’s a given that the home side is going to charge forward from the opening whistle because their attack is potent, but their defense is a total mess—honestly, it's a similar headache for Hajduk. I don't think the Miami side is going to just park the bus like they did during that away game against Stromsgodset where they played strictly on the counter; after all, this is the first leg, and coming back to Miami with an away goal would be huge.
The Czechs have had a shaky start to their domestic season, sitting at 1-3-0 and conceding at least one goal in every single match. Last season was a total letdown for them, finishing way down in 12th place, and they only even made it into Europe by winning the cup. They cruised past a weak Shomon in the first qualifying round, yet they still managed to concede an away goal against them. Meanwhile, Hajduk has found the net in 10 out of their 12 matches this season, averaging a solid 2.3 goals per game.
To beef up my bet a little, I should mention something from the Czechs' preseason. They played a whopping 19 friendly matches, and they only kept a clean sheet in five of them (against Trencina, Usti nad Labem, Znojmo, Wolfsberger AC, and Mas taborski)—and those were against lower-tier clubs nowhere near the level of Hajduk. Of course, they gave up goals to some of those smaller teams too. Look, I know friendlies aren't exactly a gold standard for measurement, but it's worth noting. I'm firmly convinced Hajduk will score today, likely on a counter or a set piece, because the Czechs play way too recklessly in attack, and Hajduk’s transition play is arguably their best weapon. You really couldn't ask for better odds than this.
I also think Slovan Bratislava should find the back of the net at home, and since the odds for both teams to score are significantly higher, that's definitely worth a shot. Hajduk's defense hasn't been great lately, and if the home side comes out swinging like expected, that net is bound to bulge at some point.

A little something for you:

The Bordeaux - Kairat match will be officiated by this gentleman, who is incredibly lenient—averaging just 2.62 cards per game.
Bordeaux are the clear favorites here, and a win is expected. They'll likely dominate possession, which means the visitors will be the ones committing most of the fouls.
Given the referee's style, the line has been set quite high at 4.5 cards.
So:

Bordeaux - Kairat under 4.5 yellow cards @ 1.75 parlay (4)

Zilina vs Athletic Bilbao: Over 4.5 yellow cards @ 1.70 (2)

It is worth mentioning the referee when betting on this option, though that shouldn't be the sole deciding factor if we are relying strictly on raw officiating statistics.
I am playing this exclusively based on the "feel" and a projected scenario of how the game might unfold given the playing styles of both sides.
Zilina is a significant underdog here, but they play a very physical and gritty style of football at home. Of course, the visitors are certainly not a soft bunch; they know exactly what tough football looks like.
Zilina will struggle to handle the quick passing and fluid combinations that characterize Athletic Bilbao. I expect plenty of late tackles and, consequently, several fouls during this match.
In the current stage of the competition, Zilina has picked up 13 yellow cards, while the visitors have surprisingly received only one.
As for the official, Ovidiu Hațegan averages about 4.5 yellow cards per match.

Lech Poznan vs Videoton: Over 3.5 yellow cards @ 1.60 (5)

There is a decent margin here at an acceptable price. On paper, the home side is the clear favorite, but their performance has been quite inconsistent lately. This could turn into a high-tension affair regardless of the odds.
The Canadian side is a bit of an enigma; they tend to play a defensive style built heavily around fast counter-attacks.
They will likely attempt to secure a respectable result before the return leg. I anticipate a very defensive approach from the visitors, setting up two tight lines. I suspect there will be frequent stoppages and fouls, and if the referee sticks to standard criteria, this margin should be easily met.
It is worth noting that Oliver Drachte is officiating this, and since it is his first match on the international stage, I am confident he will stick to standard officiating. He will likely sanction any heavy tackle with a card, as he surely wants to make a good impression during his debut.

Plzen vs Vojvodina: Over 3.5 yellow cards @ 1.60 (1)

A solid margin. Although Plzen plays a fairly elegant style of football, they aren't a particularly aggressive team and often allow their opponents too much room to play.
They are heavy favorites on home soil against the biggest surprise of the tournament, Vojvodina, who stunned Sampdoria with a massive upset.
I expect the home side to dominate possession, while the visitors will rely almost entirely on counter-attacks and their trademark rapid transitions. That is where they find their chance in this match.
They are also quite a rugged squad and don't shy away from committing fouls. I suspect the Czech side will have to work incredibly hard today to break through that defensive wall.
Vojvodina has collected 11 yellow cards so far in this competition, whereas Plzen has only seen 3 yellows across two matches.
The referee is Javier Estrada; the Spaniard averages 3.95 cards per match.

I was looking through the referee stats for today's Europa League matches this morning and noticed one official who averages a massive 0.40 penalties per game—give or take a bit, maybe 0.38.
I can't be bothered to dig up which specific match it was right now—not really in the mood to go hunting again—but if anyone is curious, you can find the data here: http://worldreferee.com/
Today's matches are listed on the right side; just click on the ref and head over to the Palmares section once you're in their profile.

The odds for a penalty are sitting at an enticing 3.20 for all the matches.

Clement Turpin. He’s officiating Southampton vs Midtjylland today, and his average is 0.36 (16/44).

Then there's Alexey Kulbakov. He’s handling Molde vs Standard, and he’s sitting at an average of 0.07 (5/69)
Alright, look, 1.20 is honestly a pathetic price to bet on, especially when the guy has only called five penalties in sixty-nine matches. 😁

Lakers-Celtics Matchup. x2 @ 1.70 (1-0)

Man, you know how it goes after games like this—everyone’s just totally emotionally drained from the grind, right? And since they actually lost, that comedown is gonna hit even harder! Honestly, though, they didn't play nearly well enough for anyone else to start sweating. That 3-0 lead against Dortmund was basically just the away team being completely rattled early on

Microsoft is definitely the better squad here—I mean, look at that Yankees 3:0 win last week! They've only got about 60 hours to recover, and they'll probably still be obsessing over how they almost had Dortmund's head on a platter during that first half

I really think it’s about time Buffalo grabs that first win of the season—they've been playing much better than the scoreboard suggests, creating plenty of chances... plus, they just snagged Andre Agassi from Brentford right before today's match, so Brentford is definitely feeling that loss of a key player.

Sunderland-Swansea/Swansea (1,5) over 2.25 Germany (1-1)
(2 2,11 Pinnacle)
(@Zoom thanks for pointing this match out to me 👍 👍)
Sunderland has had an absolutely disastrous start to the new season. After just two rounds, they’ve already dropped two convincing losses—a 4-2 defeat against Leicester and a 3-1 loss to Norwich. Their defense looks like a total joke right now, and offensively, they can barely string a pass together. Last season, they barely caught the tail end of the bus to stay in the league, just like so many seasons before, and since they haven't really bolstered the squad this year, I suspect their role in the Premier League will remain exactly what it always is: struggling at the bottom.
In stark contrast to the hosts, Swansea have hit the ground running. Following a hard-fought 2-2 draw away at Stamford Bridge against the current champions (though honestly, they should have walked away with the win), they cruised to a 2-0 home victory against Newcastle.
The vibes in both camps are worlds apart, and the energy among the fans reflects that perfectly. I think riding that wave of euphoria, Swansea could easily tear through Sunderland's net today, much like Leicester and Norwich did, simply because they are far more potent in attack than either of those sides. Looking at their recent head-to-head history, Swansea hasn't lost in any of the last six meetings; they’ve won twice and scored multiple goals in three of them. History is poised to repeat itself.

Leicester-Tottenham both teams to score 1.80 SS (1-1)
Leicester is easily the most pleasant surprise of the new Premier League season. They’ve picked up exactly where they left off last year, racking up wins fueled by some seriously impressive football—especially in the final third. Sunderland fell 4-2, and then even Bilić's West Ham went down 2-1. Ranieri has done a fantastic job tactically organizing this squad, even if he doesn't have a roster full of superstar individuals. The home side plays aggressive, attacking football, and I truly believe they aren't going to sit back and defend from the opening whistle this season, especially when playing at home.
Tottenham, on the other hand, has managed only one point from their first two matches, though they easily could have had six. In the first round, they wasted way too many chances to avoid a loss at Old Trafford (which ended in an own goal), and then in the last round, they threw away a 2-0 lead in the 78th minute against Stoke at home. Kane hasn't quite found his rhythm yet, but he’s been working hard and creating chances in both games. I think things might finally click for him today.
Just like Leicester, Tottenham also favors an attacking style, which means matchups between these two clubs almost always result in plenty of goals. Last season, they faced off twice in the league, with Tottenham winning both—4-3 and 2-1—while the cup tie went 2-1 to the home side. If you look back ten or even more years, you’ll see these rivals have always played high-efficiency, high-scoring games. Scores like 3-2, 4-4, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 4-2, and 3-0 from the 2000-2006 era tell the whole story. Everything points toward this bet: the tradition, the current form, and the sheer playing styles involved. The odds offered by Supersport are solid, and I'm happy to take them.

So, is nobody betting on Hajduk vs. Slovan? 🤷
It seems like everyone has this matchup on their slips. 🤣

Come on—can Hajduk pull through, or will they fall short on the handicap?
Are we looking at a goal fest, or will Maglica need another six chances just to get a shot on target?

Let's hear your takes. 😁
