Hey fellow recovery warriors,
how long did you guys deal with nosebleeds after your surgery, and honestly—how bad was it?

Does anyone have any intel on Dr. Borčić? What’s he actually like? Any bit of info at this point would be more than welcome...

HealthForum is basically our little corner of the internet meant for helpful and genuinely supportive advice and sharing what we've been through.
Being toxic or just straight-up destructive isn't what this community is about.
We've seen enough of that lately.

I’m not trying to call anyone out here, but I wouldn't wish the ordeal I went through on my worst enemy. I had this small bump on my nose, and whenever I laughed, the tip would droop downward. My first surgeon was John Doe. I was incredibly explicit about what I wanted—just to smooth out that bump and give the tip a slight lift—but instead, he left me looking like I had a bird beak.
...

John Doe absolutely wrecked me and completely trashed my health. Speaking from my own firsthand experience, I’m telling everyone: stay far away from him. If anyone else here has had a nightmare experience dealing with him, please shoot me a DM.

I have one massive piece of advice for you all: stay far away from him. Do not go to him for surgery, and honestly, don't even bother if you're just acting out of pure madness. Just steer clear.

I don't know what to tell you guys. I’m sitting here looking at this whole situation and it just feels like we’re spinning our wheels. I try to stay level-headed, really I do, but sometimes it’s hard not to get worked up when things seem this disorganized. It’s frustrating, honestly. I’m not trying to be difficult, but I feel like I’m the only one actually pointing out the obvious flaws here. My bad if that comes off as arrogant, I guess I just have low expectations lately. kaže:
Hey everyone,

I’ve been psyching myself up to get a rhinoplasty for quite a while now, and I've been deep in the rabbit hole of research. Does anyone here have first-hand experience getting their nose done by John Doe? Drake. 🙂

It’s pure madness dealing with him... if you actually want to keep your sanity intact.

I can't make heads or tails of what you're trying to say here. This post doesn't mean anything. kaže:
Has anyone here actually gone under the knife with John Doe for nose surgery? I'm looking for some real feedback—what was the experience like?

He’s absolutely lost his mind... everything about him is pure insanity.

Toxic or destructive behavior has no place here.
Enough is enough.

I tried being polite just to see if they’d actually delete it... but it's blindingly obvious they're being paid to run these ads... the FBI is going to look into this whole thing...

Man, this thread has gone seriously off the rails lately...
Let’s try to get us back on track here.
So, basically, HOW LONG DID YOU GUYS ACTUALLY DEAL WITH THAT POST-OP NASAL PAIN?
I’ve been reading some stuff saying certain people didn't feel anything at all—which, honestly, sounds totally fake to me...

Honestly, I was one of those people who didn't feel a thing, thank God. 🙂
Neither the surgery nor the recovery period—nothing at all.

The only time it actually hurt was a couple of times when I bumped it a little, but hey, that’s on me.

That’s awesome for you!
From what I’ve been reading online—and honestly, there are so many people saying they had a great experience and that the pain wasn't even that bad—it sounds pretty promising...
I mean, okay, I wouldn't say mine was totally unbearable, but let's just say it was definitely a bit more intense than I was expecting, if you know what I mean,
Anyway, today is day three and things are already starting to feel a little better... though I still have this constant, annoying stinging sensation in my nose...

The main thing is that the worst is over—it's all downhill from here. 😉
Hmm... I don't recall any stinging, but man, that smell of blood and stitches—or whatever antiseptic they use—really got to me.

Yeah, so my doctor actually told me to hold off on putting anything up my nose—like just plain old saline—for the first seven days. Is that actually true? I could have sworn I read somewhere that you should start rinsing right away
Oh, you’re totally right, though—the main thing is just knowing it'll be over soon... the only thing left is getting those molds removed (and honestly, I'm crossing my fingers it won't hurt nearly as much as those tampons 🙂)

So I finally had my rib surgery yesterday with Dr. Bilić—honestly, the whole crew was amazing, from the surgeon down to the nurses on the floor. I’m actually getting discharged today, though I look a bit rough... I've got these massive purple swellings around my eyes and my eyelids are basically pitch black right now 😢 I have to go back in Sunday to get the tampons removed, and then I'll be getting the splint off sometime next week

Look, if he told you not to, then just don't. You aren't missing out on anything. Honestly, I didn't even start my own routine until after I dealt with removing the molds myself.
As for taking the molds off—I can't really compare it to pulling out a tampon because, frankly, neither one ever hurt me. 😁 It’s mostly just going to feel weird when it starts "unsticking" from your nose, but it really doesn't sting.

Quick question for anyone who’s dealt with those external stitches (like on the nostrils or the columella): do they actually take them out, or do they just sort of fall off on their own?

Hey there, first timer here.
It’s been about three weeks since my rhinoplasty, and honestly, I’m happy with the results—but I’ve got a question regarding the tip.
The tip feels a bit too upturned for my liking, which isn't exactly what I was aiming for. It has dropped just a tiny bit since the surgery, but I'm wondering if more settling is coming my way?
Also, it still feels pretty hard—almost woody—to the touch, though it seems to be softening up slightly.

Which clinic did you go to for the procedure?

Man, they had to pull mine out.

Bond—is your bond too much of a hassle? If that’s what you’re worried about, don't sweat it. It took about a month before things finally started settling down for me, and now I'm totally fine. 😉

So, how was it actually? Did it hurt? Honestly, I just assumed they’d all fall out on their own! 🙂

Maybe, though honestly—it really just depends on your surgeon. A buddy of mine had his stitches fall out on their own after maybe three or four weeks. Generally speaking, it doesn't hurt... too much. 😁
The middle stitch came out after about a week (I did some digging online and I think that's the columella 🤷)—you barely even feel it. But those side ones near the nasal bridge hadn't fully healed yet, so she left them in for another week, then pulled them out without any drama. You get a little bit of a pulling sensation, but seriously, it’s nothing major. 😉

Just keep telling yourself that this is the final stretch—one last hurdle and you're over the hump. That’s what got me through. 😁
Good luck! 😉
