End of story.

I mean, I wouldn't even bother arguing if I thought you’d actually sat down, read my post properly, and understood where I was coming from in the first place. 😉

Can anyone tell me who has seen Dr. John Doe before? I'm curious to know how satisfied you were with his work.
Also, if anyone happens to know the approximate cost for revision rhinoplasty with either John Doe or Jane Doe, could you please send me a private message?
I’ve actually had nose surgery once before; it isn't disfigured or anything, I just really want a smaller, different shape.
So, if anyone has any intel at all, I would truly appreciate it!
Thanks

I'm just going to try and find a way to see him even sooner if possible.
Thanks so much!

Hey there. I just wrapped up my rhinoplasty, and while I was at it, I had them fix my deviated septum too. If anyone is curious about how the whole process went, feel free to ask. 🙂

I’ve scheduled surgery in Washington, D.C. to fix my deviated septum, but I'm honestly feeling a bit stuck regarding my thickened nasal mucosa. I can't help but wonder if there's even a way to resolve that specific issue. I've gone through liters of nasal sprays in the past, but they never seemed to do anything at all. 😠

Hey everyone 🙂
I just scored an appointment for March 4th at the Mayo Clinic for a septorhinoplasty with Dr. Kujundžić after hearing some great things from friends... I was wondering if anyone here has actually had surgery done by him? 🙂 My nose has a slight bump and my right nostril is pretty problematic...
I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about going under. I have a really hard time with general anesthesia—it always makes me nauseous when I wake up. For my last surgery, I was basically vomiting for five hours straight in waves 😢 so the idea of dealing with nausea while my nose is totally stuffed up and swollen sounds pretty miserable. 😢 Has anyone else dealt with bad post-op nausea? 😁

Look, I’m no expert on anesthesia, so don't take my word for it. All I know is that my anesthesiologist mentioned they were going with propofol because it's generally very well tolerated (you know, that drug people always associate with Michael Jackson, by the way). For me, everything went fine. Good luck, I hope things go smoothly for you. 🙂

I don't know, every surgery I have just leaves me feeling incredibly nauseous. It's honestly gross, especially when you're stuck dealing with nasal packing... :/
I heard there’s a specific injection you can ask for to help with nausea, so I'm going to ask the anesthesiologist to make a note of that... though since the ENT department at the Mayo Clinic doesn't have its own dedicated anesthesiology team and they borrow from other departments, you never really know what kind of anesthesia you're going to get. It's a total toss-up... 😁

Honestly, once you reach that point of total dissatisfaction, there’s no going back; I was just sick of having that nagging "if only" thought looping in my head forever.
I simply refused to let my entire life be defined by that sense of discontent. So, here I am—it took until my thirties to finally find the courage to go under the knife. It’s been three months since my surgery, and looking back, I have only one single regret... that I didn't do this ten years ago.

I couldn't agree more. My experience has been identical. The only difference is that I'm actually heading in for my procedure next week. To be honest, I'm feeling a little uneasy about the lack of professionalism at the clinic I chose, but since I am going there strictly because of the surgeon (Smith), I can only hope everything turns out perfectly.

As long as you have good supplemental insurance, you shouldn't have to pay a dime once you're at the hospital, I guess. 😉

Good luck 🙂

I think I've actually heard some pretty great things about him too... 😉

Please, please, I need help!!
It’s been exactly one week since my septoplasty and rhinoplasty combo. Everything was going smooth—I woke up this morning without the splints or the stitches.
But just a bit ago, I was cleaning the ceiling and jumped off a stool :-/ and now I’m feeling something really weird in my nose! I honestly don't know if I'm just being paranoid or if I actually messed something up?!?

Can you actually get surgery for free if I have supplemental insurance? I’m looking at aesthetic stuff—do you think it’s possible to just tell the doctor that I sometimes have trouble breathing so they'll cover it for free?

Not going to happen. You really think they're just sitting around waiting for someone to walk in, claim they can't breathe, and hand them a free ride?! 😂

Well, damn.

I was reading somewhere—not sure if I saw it on some medical blog or just scrolling through—that there might be some kind of non-surgical method out there that’s actually a bit cheaper?

Why wouldn't you be able to? Just get some X-rays done. If you have a deviated septum, you can definitely go through with it. I actually have mine scheduled for January 16th, and I'm planning on doing an aesthetic correction too... just give it a shot.

Sorry, I really shouldn't say... but I know for a fact you can get it done in Washington, D.C., or maybe somewhere like Chicago. A friend of mine had her surgery at a major hospital there and everything turned out perfectly..

I have been thinking about rhinoplasty my entire life.
Now that I am 22, my mind hasn't changed one bit.

Here is the change I am looking for: left is my current nose; right is my goal (not an exact replica, obviously, but this would be the ideal result).
image
Essentially, just a slight reduction in size and a reshaping of the tip. (Please excuse the camera quality.)

I haven't gone for consultations yet because I am still saving up the funds. I also realize that this space is for talking to fellow patients and those interested in the procedure, rather than speaking directly to the surgeons themselves.

With that in mind, could you tell me if you know anyone who has had before-and-after results similar to the photos above? Perhaps you have had work done yourselves?
Have you seen any surgeon's work that resembles the images I posted? Maybe in a gallery somewhere?
And can anyone recommend a good surgeon in Washington, D.C.?

Feel free to reply here or send me a private message.
Thanks in advance. 🙂
