Amy Rodriguez4 said:Hey ladies. 🙂

I'm new to the forum, so I thought I'd throw a few questions your way.
So, I’ve finally made up my mind about getting rhinoplasty. Honestly... I actually like my nose when looking at it straight on, but once I see my profile, there's this little bump right in the middle. It’s not like some massive hook or anything, just a small bump right on the bridge. 😢 And that’s just incredibly annoying.
Now I’m wondering which doctor you guys would recommend for this kind of procedure—specifically, someone who won't touch the tip of my nose, but will just take care of that hump.
I was actually thinking about going to Glumicic, but then I read here that he almost always touches the tip of the nose and makes it water, which is exactly what I want to avoid. How does Toncic handle that? Please, help me out here! 😁

Every surgeon ought to respect your wishes, though like you said, there are some who just flat-out ignore them. Toncic will do exactly what you want. That being said, it wouldn't hurt to actually listen to his suggestions once in a while. At first, I wasn't planning on changing a thing—just wanted it a bit more rugged—but in the end, he told me he should slim it down a bit from the front. I'm glad I listened; looking at myself now, it was looking a little potato-shaped, and it looks much better from the front now. 😍

Thanks for the reply 🙂

Also, I have a quick favor to ask—if any of you who had your nose done by Toncic would be willing to share some before and after photos... 😁

Has anyone here dealt with a thick or prominent nasal tip? Looking at the photos on Toncic's page, it appears that he barely touches the tip at all during the procedure. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hey there!
I have a question for you all. I feel like it might be a bit early to go see a doctor, but here is the situation. About ten days ago, I slipped and took a nasty spill, hitting my nose directly against the concrete. I went in to get some X-rays done, and thankfully there aren't any fractures, but there was a lot of swelling and bleeding at the time. The swelling has gone down now, though it still feels a little tender if I touch it.

But here is the actual issue...
A bump has appeared... specifically image right between those first two lines, starting from the top and moving down toward the middle!

I’m wondering how smart it would be to go get it fixed, and if it's even possible to get rid of it. The thing is, I don't have an aesthetic surgery center nearby that specializes in this kind of stuff.

Is there any chance that this bump will just disappear on its own in another ten days or so?

Honestly, just shoot an email to a few different clinics—it doesn't matter where they're located—ask them the question and attach that same photo. See what they have to say.🙂

Hey everyone! I'm finally posting here, even though I've been lurking and reading for ages. Just had nose surgery this morning at a local clinic—nothing too crazy, just smoothing out the bump and fixing the tip, which was my main goal. Honestly, looking in the mirror right now feels surreal, but I guess the swelling will settle down in a few days 🙂
I could really use some tips from anyone who's been through this! How long did you guys have to deal with ice packs and sleeping propped up? My nose doesn't actually hurt—I haven't even needed painkillers—it just feels a bit weird, and breathing through my mouth isn't an issue, just the sneezing. But man, trying to sleep with these ice packs is killing me. Any suggestions? And for the sneezing... 🙂 I have no idea how to stop it, and while I try pinching my nose, I really don't want to 🙂

Maybe take a quick look back through the history of this thread.

If there supposedly wasn't a fracture, then where did that bump come from?
Just something to think about.

So, I’m heading in for nose surgery tomorrow with Anzic.
Does anyone know how long the recovery actually takes, and is the post-op pain as intense as they say?
The procedure includes: septoplasty, polyp removal, nasal narrowing, and straightening.

At Dr. Munitic's office. My nose started bleeding pretty heavily today—someone on a health forum told me it would stop on its own, but it just won't... I was thinking about rushing in for an exam right this second, hoping I'm not being a total hypochondriac and overreacting..

Can you define the blood volume and describe exactly what it looks like? Like, are we talking about fresh blood, or is it already clotted?

Maybe someone already asked this, but I honestly don't have the energy to scroll through 450 pages... So, here it is. I need nose surgery—it's partly for a minor health issue, but I'd love to fix the aesthetics while I'm at it. Right now, I can't afford a private clinic, so I'm looking for advice on hospital experiences. Which hospitals should I look into, and which doctors should I be asking for? (Please, only reply if you've actually had cosmetic work done in a hospital using insurance rather than paying out of pocket at a private practice).

I was lying in the hospital after my first night following surgery, and I was bleeding quite heavily. Even the night nurse got spooked; she wasn't sure if she should wake the doctor or not. Honestly, I didn't even realize it was happening until I saw my gauze and pillow were soaked through. It finally stopped by morning. That was my entire night.

I had bleeding too... I'm feeling better today, though I'm pretty bruised and a bit swollen since they narrowed my nose quite a bit.
And I keep feeling the urge to sneeze, but honestly, I'm terrified to.

Hello everyone... I'm looking into getting a secondary rhinoplasty and some tip reshaping. Has anyone here gone to Dr. Zambell, Dr. Milojevica, or Dr. Glumicic for something like this? Also, does anyone have recommendations for other surgeons in the Washington, D.C. area? Any idea what the typical costs are for this kind of procedure in the States? Thanks for the help...

Hey everyone, 😍
On January 7th, I finally had my nose surgery.
I'm feeling great—healthy, happy, and honestly, there was zero pain.
Everything went smoothly, even that dreaded part where they pull out the packing. 😛
The cast comes off tomorrow...
Once I have a moment to breathe, I’ll post a full, detailed update.
Thanks to all of you for the advice; it truly made a massive difference. 😍

Hey everyone, I’m finally checking in. Had my surgery yesterday and I’m already back home today. Everything went smoothly—no bruising so far—but man, I can't get comfortable. Every time I think I've found a position, my mouth goes bone dry, and it just keeps happening. Around 5:30 PM, I begged the nurse for some pain meds, which probably knocked me out because I ended up crashing for a bit. Now that I'm home, the nosebleed isn't nearly as bad; thank God it wasn't constantly draining down my throat. But ugh, my head is pounding, my nose has this stinging sensation, and even my teeth ache, haha. Still, I survived. Thanks to everyone for the advice, and wishing you all the absolute best!
