Thank you very much for all the responses. If anyone has additional information to share, I would be extremely grateful. I made a bit of a mistake by being lazy at home for four months instead of getting this handled back in month two, but it is what it is. Honestly, it doesn't matter if I notice something; my main concern is ensuring that people seeing me for the first time don't find my appearance off-putting. One more question: does everything look normal in photos after a month has passed?

crimsonpanther8 said:I was able to breathe through my nose completely normally immediately after the packing was removed,
and they typically remove those about eight days post-op.
I believe I started touching the stitches after about 14 days.
As for bruising, I had quite a significant amount, and it remained visible for about three weeks.
My nose is still swollen, even though it will soon be four months since the surgery,
but at the end of the day, I am the only one who notices it.
The difference from my previous nasal profile was obvious the moment the cast was taken off.

Thanks for the reply. 🙂 That’s great news about your breathing; I'm glad you didn't have to endure too much discomfort. 🙂
One thing I am curious about: I know there is still swelling, but after a month, does the nose already look smaller than it did before the surgery?

On average, how long does one typically wait for surgery when going through private providers? I'm curious about the full timeline, starting from that very first consultation all the way through to the actual procedure itself.

Look, if you're the one footing the bill, you're the one calling the shots. You negotiate terms that work for you.

Roughly one month.

I'm just wondering—I know there's still swelling, but after a month, does the nose actually look smaller than it did before the surgery?

The nose looks smaller immediately once the splint comes off, regardless of any swelling.😁😁

I’ve been struggling quite a bit over the last few days, and honestly, I’m almost afraid to even breathe deeply at home. It feels like I might actually need to see my doctor... though maybe I’m just being dramatic. I was wondering if anyone else here has had nasal surgery, specifically focusing on the tip of the nose?

About a year ago, I underwent my first rhinoplasty. It was done under general anesthesia, required about two or three days in the hospital, and was purely cosmetic. The result? It narrowed my nostrils and smoothed out a small bump on my profile. But the tip—the tip remained completely untouched. It still looks wide and thick... which was actually my biggest complaint to begin with.

So, nearly a year later, I went back to the doctor and told them that this really bothers me (besides, I paid for a result, and I want one). We agreed on a second procedure, this time performed under local anesthesia... The result? The tip is still exactly the same. Now, a month after this second operation, I can't even let anyone touch it—God forbid my husband or child tries to give me a kiss, because the pain is absolutely blinding. And if I lift my head even slightly, you can see that the septum isn't straight; there's a visible notch where it was cut, with the lower part shifting to one side before the upper part continues diagonally toward the tip. It’s just senseless.

I feel like I've wasted my money and gone through all this misery, all while feeling like I have to keep it quiet because people already laughed at me for wanting to fix my nose in the first place...

Does it hurt when you touch it? I mean specifically the tip of the nose? I can't quite remember, but after my first surgery, I don't think I felt any pain at all, if I recall correctly?
One morning I went out for a walk, and it was quite cold outside. Well, the tip of my nose started hurting like crazy, right from the inside?!? What could that be? Has anyone else experienced something similar? I’m torn on whether I should wait a little longer or just go see the doctor immediately...

I was trying to edit my post, but it won't let me: I'm experiencing some pain, specifically when I wipe my nose. Even when I'm being extremely gentle after washing up, it still hurts... and heaven forbid I have to wipe myself elsewhere...

Does anyone else experience pain in the area behind the ear following surgery? It doesn't really feel swollen anymore...

I have another somewhat foolish question: what should we do if we feel a yawn coming on during those first few weeks following nasal surgery? Additionally, when can I safely return to physical exercise—specifically things like crunches, planks, or push-ups (basically anything involving lowering my head or putting tension on the nose)—provided there is no physical contact involved? Also, at what point will I be able to blow my nose normally again?

Please excuse me for bombarding you all with so many questions!

Does anyone know a doctor over by the hospital area who specializes in adjusting pyramids—specifically someone who knows their stuff when it comes to noses? I need someone who actually knows what they're doing.
It's kind of an emergency, Jay!!!!
(Shoot me a DM, please, because I really don't have the patience to wade through all that lady drama in the public threads)
🙂

Does anyone else deal with pain a month out from surgery? The swelling seems to have gone down by now.

I don't feel much pain when touching it lightly or cleaning it, but the tip still feels wooden, even though I'm nearly four months post-op. If I apply any real pressure, it hurts right where the break was.
The other day, a kid accidentally headbutted the tip of my nose, and I honestly thought I was going to pass out from the pain.

I was torn between seeing Ostojic or Glumicic, but I ended up going with Ostojic 🙂

The mold didn't even work for me since there wasn't any bleeding 😁😁

Didn't he set the Ostojic mold for you?? 😲
But look, that thing acts as support for the new nasal structure—it keeps the bones in place!
What on earth does that have to do with bleeding??

I didn't even have a mold, let alone a tampon, for at least 24 hours...

If they aren't operating on the tip itself, you don't really need a splint. The whole point of the splint is just to hold those broken bones in their new spot. It’s an external thing, while the packing is internal—mostly just there to soak up all the extra blood...
But you definitely had to have some kind of packing in there, because something has to apply pressure to the tip to keep it where it needs to stay, right?

It's been two months since my surgery and my tip is still a little swollen and I've got zero feeling when I touch it, but it's getting better bit by bit. Honestly, just try to be patient. If not, go back to him and demand a full breakdown of everything he did.🙂
Oh, and it hurts right under the incision whenever I touch it, clean my nose, or blow it. That pain gets a little smaller every single day, so I'm hoping it disappears soon. Good luck to you too. Just hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first disastrous nose job with Boric was a total nightmare. I had those massive tampons shoved up there, and my face was just swollen and bruised like a giant blueberry. Then he put that mold on top, and now I’m dealing with a ton of heavy taping plus the mold itself. Even with all that, I can already tell my nose looks five times smaller... My nasal bone hasn't actually been touched because it's pretty low and narrow, so nobody ever messed with it.

Honestly, I don't have any bruising at all right now, even though they went way deeper this time than the first visit.🙂

Kimberly Thompson75, who did you end up seeing for that audit?
