briskmason42 said:I actually had some corrective surgery done on my nose because it was drooping, and now it looks way too upturned. I’m really hoping it settles downward and narrows out a bit. Since there wasn't an actual break—just some minor tissue damage—it doesn't make sense for it to stay this wide unless it was always like that, right? Or am I totally off base here? Thanks in advance for any advice!

That whole description points to one thing: hypercorrection. It sounds like they overcompensated to prevent the tip from drooping.
Plus, everything is still swollen—this isn't just like getting a mole removed...

Look, this isn't a place to vent about how unfair life is—it's here to actually get helpful info regarding nose surgery. I totally get that you're struggling, but you have to realize nobody is going to sit there and explain for the millionth time why you can't go under the knife just yet. 🤦
You've made it through 14 years already, two more will fly by before you know it... 🎉

Has anyone else dealt with a little bump or lump popping up after surgery? I’m wondering how long you usually have to wait before you can even think about a revision. It’s been 18 days since my procedure, so I’m still just waiting on a follow-up and to hear what the doctor actually thinks. Also, does it take a while to finally feel like you can breathe better again? Because honestly, I’m still struggling 😢

Hey, I had my surgery four days ago. I was wondering, how long did it take you all to get back into training? When can I realistically hit the gym again?

And honestly, it’s all just swelling—we aren't talking about removing a mole here...

Look, I know I need to give it some time, but let's be real—on a nose as prominent as mine, this doesn't exactly look great right now. I'm just praying the tip actually drops... As for the narrowing issue—since everyone seems to have an opinion on it—given that the bone structure is currently all scattered and uneven, is there any actual chance it will narrow? Or am I just dealing with massive swelling, and is my fear totally justified?

Just think about it—I dealt with breathing issues myself, but I won't pretend aesthetics aren't important. Honestly, imagine having a tiny nose that you can't even breathe through. Personally, I wouldn't trust my life to a surgeon who might permanently ruin my nasal function. When you go in for the exam, they'll tell you exactly what’s possible and what isn't, along with the reasoning behind it. During my initial consultations, we spent about an hour and a half just talking things through. 🙂 If you are truly serious about going under the knife, then $100 those deep-dive consultations where everything gets laid out clearly are a smart investment. I'm not trying to pitch anyone here; I believe any competent surgeon should explain everything thoroughly, leaving the final decision entirely up to you.

I really hope that kukuki 🤦 didn't end up seeing Tony Stark and actually listened to your advice. I had my rhinoplasty done by Tony Stark, and let me tell you, 😠😠it was a total DISASTER! Time has become my greatest enemy; as the years pass, my nose looks worse and the functionality keeps declining. I realize this post is a few years old, but if someone happens to stumble upon this, please—STAY AWAY!!!!

Hi everyone! I’m a patient from North Mexico, so please excuse my imperfect English. I recently had rhinoplasty done, and honestly, I’m pretty unhappy with the results. My nasal tip looks too bulbous, my nostrils feel way too wide, they aren't even symmetrical—one sits higher than the other—and I even have this tiny little pit on my nose that showed up after the surgery. 😢
Can anyone recommend the best cosmetic surgeon for noses in the US? I looked into Glumicic, but looking at the before and after photos, I just didn't love the style.
I’ve also heard some great things about Miroslav Kincl, Ostojic, and Bojan Ignatovski.
In your opinion, who is the absolute best? I would really appreciate any advice because this means so much to me. Thanks! 🙂

I'm actually dealing with that exact same issue—wide, uneven nostrils and a bulbous tip... How long has it been since your surgery? You should look into doctors like Zoran Veir, Zambelli, or Davor Džepina. Just be smart about your choice this time.

It’s a bit of a prominent feature for me, so I'm just crossing my fingers that the swelling actually goes down like it's supposed to. Regarding the narrowing part—since there's been a lot of discussion about it lately—given that the bone feels somewhat scattered or uneven, is it actually possible for it to narrow further? Or am I just dealing with lingering inflammation? I'm trying to figure out if what I'm feeling is just temporary swelling or if I should actually be worried about the structural outcome.

That’s a far cry from being a done deal—honestly, it’s not exactly a "cool" haircut, is it?🙂

Since I don't live in the States, making the right call is way harder because I can't just pop in for a consultation or look at plenty of before-and-after shots in person.
Miroslav Klincl doesn't have any photos on his website, and while Bojan Ignatovski and Ostojic seem okay, they're pretty pricey.
I just checked Zambelli's site and his work looks alright too. But Davor Džepina and Zoran Veir don't have any galleries posted. I'm honestly stuck because everyone shows off their profile shots, but I can't find anyone showing actual tip corrections anywhere.
This doctor also seems decent, take a look here: http://www.dr-vukasin-rhinoplasty.co...id=2&Itemid=41
Plus, he isn't nearly as expensive—only $1,200 (whereas Ostojic and the others are closer to $2,000).
Where did you go for your revision, and are you happy with the results now?

edit: I just read elsewhere that Ostojic is mainly good for profile work, which isn't really my priority. 😢 Actually, Glumicic does better work on the tip.

To me, your nose looks fine—if only mine looked like that... I can see how asymmetrical the bridge is, because mine is exactly the same way :/ They didn't actually do much for aesthetics on mine, despite two surgeries, and it feels like I might need another one because of this bump on my nose 🙂 if I hadn't messed with it in the first place, it would probably be better. I don't know what to tell you, but don't pick Glumicic or Ostojic. For tip work, you absolutely need someone who specializes in it. Try emailing them all your questions and photos, then see whose response resonates with you most—start from there.

Your nose doesn't look that bad, honestly. It’s not like they botched it, but you can tell it could be better. The profile is fine, and if you just need a tip correction, you could probably just do that locally without needing anything done at the big clinics. Since this would be a revision, you really need to pick the right surgeon. Think twice about who you choose, because every revision carries more risk, and some of those private practices lack the skill that can lead to disastrous results for the whole nose, even if the rest of it looks straight.

The same names and the same praise—or complaints—always pop up here. Personally, I'd steer clear of Tony Stark, because I've seen work from them that's just mediocre at best. If you looked at their gallery before deciding on them
http://www.gallery.toncic.net/us/rhinoplasty-surgery/ you might have noticed they barely touch the tip or the width, which is a problem because changing the profile usually requires adjusting the tip too. You could have guessed the tip wouldn't turn out ideal, since it seems neither of those surgeons has much experience there. You actually lucked out; things could have been way worse based on what I've heard from girls leaving their clinic unhappy.

redmarlin96 said:Miroslav Klincl doesn't have photos on his website, and Bojan and Ostojic are alright, though pretty expensive.

You need a surgeon who has operated on tons of people, and more importantly, someone whose patients are actually happy. You don't know anything about these guys yet, because as you said, their sites don't have many photos that matter to you. So, you can't really judge them. Plus, some surgeons will flat-out refuse to show you photos, claiming it's "clinic policy." Run away from those immediately. From what I know, Glumicic and Zambelli actually show examples of noses similar to yours. If they won't show you, get out. I don't know if Tony Stark showed you anything before, but mostly I hear people saying they just point to stuff on our forum. There is some stuff available, but it's mostly just minimal profile straightening.

...I’d stay far away from Ostojic. I’ve seen comments from women who were suicidal over this—one actually ended her life. In that case, it was about fillers; one girl got injected with way too much, leaving her face and lips completely disfigured.

Kincl and Veir are plastic surgeons, so I don't get what they could possibly contribute regarding tip reshaping. And honestly, why are the same old surgeons circling this thread? There’s an entirely different subforum for breast augmentations and lipo...

I think Glumicic will finish the job right. It feels like he actually works on the tip—not just lifting or shortening it, but narrowing the width too. Some people on here seem convinced he just uses a cookie-cutter approach of lifting and shortening, but if you look at the models who went to him—women whose entire careers depend on having a perfect nose—you can't say their noses looked worse after the surgery.

fadedfalcon13 said:Look, I’m not saying your nose looks terrible—it’s not like it was completely botched—but let’s be honest, there’s definitely room for improvement. Your profile is actually fine, so if all you really need is a simple tip correction, you could just head to a local clinic and call it a day. You wouldn't even need to mess with the rest of the structure. Since this would essentially be a revision surgery for you, choosing the right surgeon is everything. You need to think twice about who you trust with this—seriously. Every time you go back in for a revision, the risks skyrocket. We’ve all seen those shady private practitioners out there whose lack of skill can lead to catastrophic results for your entire nose, even if the base of it is perfectly straight. Don't gamble with it.

It’s always the same handful of names being floated around here—the same tired list of "achievements" mixed with the same repetitive pile of hate. Honestly? If you ask me, you should steer clear of Tony Stark. I’ve actually seen some of his work, and frankly, it’s mediocre at best. It’s nothing to write home about. If you had bothered to look through their portfolio before deciding to go under the knife with them, maybe you wouldn't be feeling this way now.
I’ve been looking through the gallery over at Tony Stark's site—specifically that section detailing rhinoplasty procedures—and honestly, I have some thoughts. Is anyone else seeing what I'm seeing? It’s one thing to look at clinical photos, but it's another thing entirely to witness the sheer variety of outcomes being presented. You have to wonder about the consistency here. When you're looking at these transformations, does the surgeon prioritize the patient's original facial harmony, or are we just chasing a specific, standardized "ideal" nose? It’s a fine line to walk. One wrong move and you've completely altered someone's identity. Looking at these cases, I find myself questioning if the aesthetic goals align with what most people actually want when they sit down for a consultation. Is it about refinement, or is it about total reconstruction? There's a massive difference, and frankly, the distinction matters more than most people realize. Look, you saw it yourself—they’re barely even touching the tip or the width. And that’s exactly where the work needs to happen. If you want a different look, you have to adjust the tip profile, period. You really should have suspected that the tip wouldn't turn out perfectly; honestly, it feels like neither of those surgeons actually has much experience with that specific detail. You definitely dodged a bullet, though—based on what I've heard from girls leaving those clinics absolutely miserable with their results, things could have gone a whole lot worse.

Look, you need a surgeon who actually has skin in the game—someone who has operated on countless patients and, more importantly, has a massive track of satisfied results. Right now, you don’t know a single thing about these doctors because, as you pointed out yourself, their websites are practically devoid of the kind of before-and-after photos you actually care about. How can you even begin to judge them? And let me tell you something—if a surgeon refuses to show you their work by hiding behind "clinic policy" or claiming they just don't do that, run. Just run. Get away from them immediately. In my experience, people like Glumicic—and I hear the same thing from Zambelli and a few others—are actually willing to show examples of nose jobs that look remarkably similar to yours. If they won't show you what they can do, walk away from those clinics right now. I'm not sure if the Tony Starks of the medical world have ever shown you anything before—usually, all I hear are excuses—but we do have some examples posted on our forum. Though, keep in mind, those specific cases are mostly minor stuff, like simple profile alignments.

I’d steer clear of Ostojic if I were you—seriously. You have no idea how dark this gets. There are stories from women who actually attempted suicide because of what happened, and one girl even lost her life. In another case, it was all about those fillers; some guy injected so much into one woman that her face and lips were completely mutilated. It’s absolutely horrifying.

Kincl and Veir are plastic surgeons—so why on earth are they even weighing in on tip rhinoplasty? I genuinely don't get what they could possibly contribute to that specific procedure. And frankly, it’s baffling to me why certain surgeons keep circling back to this topic—isn't there a completely different subforum dedicated to breast augmentations and liposuction?

I honestly think Glumicic is going to nail this procedure by the time he’s finished—it feels like he isn't just looking to lift or shorten the nose, but actually refine the width too. Some people in this community seem convinced that he just does the same cookie-cutter job every single time—just a little lift here, a little trim there—but they couldn't be more wrong. If you actually look at the track record of the models who have gone to him—women whose entire careers depend on something as high-stakes as their profile—you can't tell me they all walked out looking worse. They didn't.

For instance, Davor Džepina actually sat down and showed me photos from secondary procedures—cases where patients had absolutely horrific noses that ended up looking incredible after the fix. I just finished my follow-up with him today, and honestly? He is definitely my choice.
From what I’ve seen personally, I know two women who had pretty subpar results from Glumicic—their noses just aren't right—so now they're facing revision surgery. My takeaway? Choosing a surgeon is basically a total gamble. So, here's hoping we all get lucky. 😛

From what I know, I have two friends who didn't get great results from Glumičić, so they're stuck needing another surgery under general anesthesia. My takeaway? Picking a doctor is pure luck. So, good luck to all of us... 😛

Davor Đepina (vinogradski)? He has a private practice in Vukovar too. Honestly, I think he’s more geared toward functional stuff, since that’s what he does on his ward at the main hospital. If you're looking for aesthetics rather than fixing a structural issue—like a nasal valve obstruction making it hard to breathe—Đepina might not be the right call. I know girls who went through him via insurance at the hospital instead of going private, and they weren't happy either. For purely aesthetic work, the hospital isn't the place. It can happen, but don't expect someone to perfectly sculpt your nose there. It's basically Russian roulette. ☕

Your post is a bit vague... are you planning to see him privately or go through the hospital system? If it's the latter, it seems like a weird move. Unless you have a specific functional problem, there's no point in gambling on a surgeon whose main focus isn't aesthetics...

briskmason42 said:I think that nose looks lovely; I wish mine looked like that. I can see how the bridge is a bit uneven, though—it’s actually exactly the same way mine is. :/

An aesthetician once told me my nasal bridges look different because my rhinoplasty surgeon removed some cartilage (which is why there's that tiny little indentation). I don't really know much about the technical side of things, so I honestly can't say for sure.
But the doctor did mention that I could take some fat from another area and have it injected there to help even out the bridges.🕺

Kinčl and Veir are plastic surgeons, and I honestly don't see what they could offer when it comes specifically to refining the tip of the nose. It's also a bit confusing why certain surgeons keep popping up in this discussion when there are entire other subforums dedicated to breast augmentations and liposuction.

I personally think Glumičić does a great job finishing the look. It seems to me like he doesn't just lift and shorten the nose, but he actually narrows the width too. Regardless of what some people on this forum claim—that he just lifts, shortens, and uses a cookie-cutter approach—if you look at all the models who have gone to him—women whose entire careers depend on highly visible features like their nose—I don't think any of them ended up with a worse nose after the procedure.

Yeah, I really want to shorten the tip and even out the nostrils too (just to fill in that little notch).
Here are some photos from a different angle so you can actually see how massive the tip and nostrils look—it honestly looks pretty bad right now.

It looks like I might end up going with Glumičić after all. Does anyone happen to know what the total cost for the surgery is, and does that include the hospital stay?

I can't tell from your post if you're planning to see him privately or just use a referral at the hospital. Either way, your choice seems a bit illogical—if you don't have a strictly functional issue, why on earth would you hunt down a third or fourth surgeon who doesn't even specialize in aesthetics?

Of course, privately! He specializes in aesthetics because he's an ORL doctor and a plastic surgeon who belongs to several international plastic surgery societies. And frankly, that's exactly why I'm going to him—because he's an ORL and I don't want anyone messing up my actual breathing function after everything.
I've read plenty of bad reviews about everyone else, but everything I find on him is positive, so there we have it...

Hey everyone, I’ve actually gone under the knife for my nose once before, but I really need to go back in to correct it—specifically to slim down the tip. Right now, it just looks way too bulbous. Is there any possibility of getting this done under local anesthesia so I can avoid dealing with those awful nasal tampons and all that mess?
I honestly just want to reduce the tip, which looks far too fleshy and rounded. If you look at those Jennifer Aniston before and after photos, that’s more or less the kind of result I’m aiming for.
I am truly hoping this will be the final fix, because I am just so exhausted by the whole cycle of doctors, clinics, and noses. I don't think I have the energy left for this... My nose looks like a ball stuck right onto my septum rather than an actual tip; I feel like I need some sort of liposuction in that area to refine it and actually give the tip some structure.

So, how long ago was your first surgery, and which surgeon did the initial work? Was the tip always shaped like this, or is this a new development? I truly hope you’ll be happy with the results after this second round, but frankly, I have no idea who to recommend since I'm still searching myself.🙂
