To’s a tough one for me to say for sure—your sister would probably be your best bet for getting the real scoop on that. Honestly, even your doctor should be able to pull up all the available appointment slots through the online scheduling system.

Hey there
So, about a year ago, I went under the knife for both cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty, and honestly... I am just so incredibly unhappy with the results. Functionally, nothing really feels any different, but aesthetically? It’s an absolute disaster. My nose looks like it's three times the size it was before surgery, and it feels super stiff—I'm pretty sure I've developed some keloid scarring inside my nostrils. Just a total mess... I have my final follow-up appointment this week, but I can already see where this is going because they're just going to tell me "it'll settle down eventually," which is exactly what they told me six months ago, and clearly, nothing has settled at all...
Has anyone else gone through something similar? And seriously, what do you even do when you're stuck in a situation like this?

About a year ago, I went under the knife for both cosmetic and functional nose surgery. And honestly? I am beyond disappointed. Functionally speaking, nothing has really changed—but aesthetically? It’s an absolute train wreck. My nose looks three times larger than it did before the procedure. It feels hard, too, and I’m pretty sure I’ve developed keloid scarring inside the nostrils. Just a total disaster. I have my final follow-up appointment this week, and I can already see where this is going—I'll probably just get told, "Oh, it'll settle down eventually." That’s exactly what they told me six months ago, yet nothing has subsided since then...
So, has anyone else dealt with something like this? And more importantly, what on earth do you even do when you're stuck in a situation like this?
In my opinion, your best move is to go find a second opinion immediately. Reading through these forums, I haven't come across anyone sharing a similar horror story—though maybe someone will chime in soon... I am so sorry you're going through this, but please know you aren't alone. 😵If you don't mind me asking, who was the surgeon?

I’m all for looking at this from different angles—it's always good to get a second opinion.
If we're truly dealing with keloid scarring, then it's basically just the body's way of overreacting to surgical trauma. We don't all heal the exact same way; some people have a much stronger reaction than others.

I just booked an appointment with Zambell... Can any of his patients please hit me up in my inbox? I need the real scoop.

I had my rhinoplasty about three months ago, and honestly, the tip still feels pretty stiff...
Do you guys think it’ll eventually soften up and settle down? It actually looks a bit thicker than it did before the surgery—it was so slim before, but it feels like they just took chunks out of it without much finesse.
What do you all think?

Hi there.
I'm wondering if it's possible to perform a tip-only rhinoplasty—essentially just reducing the cartilage.🤔
My nose is actually quite straight and narrow, but my profile is a mess because the tip is way too pointy. It sticks out awkwardly, especially since I have a pretty short face. This profile has been driving me crazy for years. To be clear, this isn't about vanity or deep-seated insecurities.😢
Who would you recommend as the top specialist in Miami, and what kind of price range am I looking at?
Thanks for any insight.😉

Yeah, that's definitely doable. 🙂
As for which surgeon to pick, you might want to ask someone else... I don't really know much about the medical side of things. 😉

Betty Edwards22 said:I don't know, man, but I think there are only like two clinics open on weekday afternoons over by the Vinogradski area.
You can either book an appointment yourself or just have your primary care doctor handle it for you through the online portal.
Thanks for the heads-up! I just went ahead and placed my order through the doctor's online portal.👍
Can I ask one more thing? Is there ever a situation where doing osteotomies to narrow the nose just isn't a good idea? Thanks!

Someone else will have to advise you on the surgeon; I don't know much about that side of things. 😉
Thanks🙂
Any others from the Miami area who've had nose surgery, please share any info you have. 🙂

To anyone else from San Diego who’s had nose surgery—please, I am begging you, share any info you have. 🙂
My advice? Don't even think about going to San Diego—not even if you were desperate! 😵

Hey, just joined the forum. My nose is basically useless right now, so after some tests, my doctor suggested surgery. It’d fix the breathing issues and handle the aesthetics at the same time. Reading through the old threads, I’m torn between two surgeons, D. Jepsen and Glumich. If anyone here has gone under the knife with either of them, could you let me know how it went? Also curious about the cost and if you have any before/after pics—feel free to DM me. Thanks 🙂

Thanks! 🙂
Are you thinking of Dr. Jepsen over at the downtown clinic? He was the one who handled my case, and the fact that I’m still hanging around this forum is probably the best indicator that things didn't exactly turn out as planned. It’s a bit like a renovation where the contractor promises a simple touch-up but ends up leaving you with a sunken foundation; he told me he was just going to smooth out the hump, but instead, I ended up with this concave, saddle-shaped nose which, frankly, was a disappointment to both of us. At first, he acted as if everything would eventually settle into place, but eventually, I stopped looking to him for answers and started the much more frustrating search for a new surgeon who can actually fix the mess.

Honestly, I feel bad, was thinking about him too 😵 Feels like I'm one step closer to booking an appointment with Glumich

Anyone here dealt with Dr. Ignatovski for a rhinoplasty? I saw the standard price is around 13k $0.00, plus some before and after shots, but I really want the real scoop from people who actually went to him or heard something firsthand. Check this out—his sisters got their noses done and they look pretty solid after just a month.
Found this bio online, and honestly, the years of experience make him look like a safe bet:
"He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Chicago School of Medicine, passing his boards in 1980. He later finished postgraduate studies and defended his master's thesis, 'selection of drainage operations in solving exogenous secretion in experimental pancreas transplantation,' in 1989 at the University of Chicago School of Medicine.
As an aesthetic surgeon, Mr. Bojan Ignatovski completed his specialization in plastic-reconstructive surgery at the University of Chicago School of Medicine, passed his final exams, and earned his title as a plastic surgeon. He also underwent specialized aesthetic surgery training in France.
Aesthetic surgeon Mr. Bojan Ignatovski has been living and working in Des Moines since 1991. In 1992, he opened the first aesthetic surgery clinic in America, and since 1997, he has owned and directed the polyclinic for surgery, gynecology and plastic surgery. "

Look, I'm pretty sure every doctor being brought up in this thread has decades of experience, but just because they've been around doesn't mean they're actually good—that's really not enough info to go on when you're making a call like this. 🙂>

Fair point. I brought him up because everyone keeps saying you need someone with massive experience. Like I said, I checked out some photos and a video, and it looks decent, but I still want more opinions. 🙂
Also, if anyone has worked with Dr. Daria Sos over at the Indianapolis polyclinic for surgery, gynecology and plastic surgery, let me know.
