I couldn't care less about the fighting itself. It’s never been the reason I’m losing sleep from excitement before a big game. But if I have to choose, I'd rather stick to the old-school way fans used to scrap about ten years ago than deal with some fake "fair fight" nonsense that completely kills the whole point of being a fan...

Obviously, you should be a decent human being first and a fan second. That means you don't smash someone's head in with a rock while they're lying on the ground. You always have to make sure you don't end up regretting ever being born because of a brawl. Whether you're the aggressor or the victim...

You nailed that last part. I think the younger crowd gets it better than the older groups who used to cause all the chaos. To me, hanging out at a local park feels more honest. At a park, you won't get jumped by three kids using a telescope when you could easily take all three of them in a fair fight. Or you won't deal with those rigged 50-on-10 scenarios where everything was decided beforehand, which is just plain frustrating.

Amen to that.

Forgive me for drifting off-topic here—I really had to 🤣

Jesse Campbell said:Good grief, I am not some UFC fighter. My intention is to head to the game, cheer for my club and the national team, grab some drinks, and just have a good time. If someone decides to pick a fight with me, well, I’ll defend myself. But that certainly won't be happening out in some random field, unless the stadium is somehow located in the middle of a massive meadow. And I haven't seen one of those yet.

I am never going to carry around clubs, knives, or anything of the sort because I am attending a sporting event, not heading off to war. However, if I am sitting in a pub enjoying a beer and a crowd suddenly attacks me, I will absolutely use whatever is within reach to protect myself.

Back when I used to go to games, BBB didn't even exist, let alone any of these guys from Poland, Russia, or those trained hooligan types. People went to the matches for the sake of the club, not for some gang, chaos, or riots. Even today, I go to the games for the club, and if some trained 20-year-old comes at me while I'm just sitting there sipping my beer, I am definitely going to defend myself with whatever is handy.

Amen.

A little hypocritical, wouldn't you say?😁

From the most beautiful fan philosophy on the planet to just letting things slide behind your back—how lovely.😍

What analogheron19 is saying holds weight. We held our ground and we didn't back down.
However, the point made by Joseph Harris5 is equally valid.😉

Lol, what a joke. I’d go as far as to say he even outshines those Bad Boys.😁

man, what we're seeing in this video isn't even a fight. It's just people throwing chairs from six feet away. If that counts as fighting nowadays, then more power to them.

A few things just clicked for me, and now this video makes sense. All these "fights" in our scene consist of throwing stuff—chairs, bottles, flares, rocks. At this rate, when are we going to start using sniper rifles?

It'll go on until there's a fatality, and then the whole forum will start acting all moralistic, saying it shouldn't have happened like this or that. Honestly, some things just need to end. If you're going to fight, act like a man or just stay out of it.

Wait until there's a victim, then this whole forum will start acting all high and mighty about morality. Look, some things just need to end. If you're gonna scrap, do it like a man or stay out of it entirely.

Boy, either you haven't been in many fan fights or you're just disconnected from reality.

Dozens of guys get into it at a bar, and it’s totally normal for someone to swing a chair or a bottle. Once one guy starts swinging, it's chaos. Like, where’s the referee to step in and put them in a timeout? Or an assistant coach to wipe their face with a towel before the next round starts so they stop making those moves...

I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying how it is. You roll into another guy's city and they jump you while you're grabbing a drink, chances are everything is going to start flying. That's how it's always been and how it'll stay. Not just with Americans.

You think Englishmen don't throw chairs??? Fan fights have always been like that.

I wasn't actually there in Poznan, but after hearing from my own contacts and reading all the chatter on various forums about how we absolutely dismantled them, seeing this is just laughable.

That one-minute clip of the first night in Poznan—back when not all the Bad Boys had arrived for the Euro tournament since America wasn't playing until the following day—was supposed to "enlighten" you? Honestly, nobody cares. For the record, the BBB were in Poznan for an entire week.
Lech was only looking for the Boys. 🙂
Out of the thousand different flags hanging all over downtown, they weren't looking for anything specific—they just wanted something with the BBB logo on it. That’s how they ended up snatching the local pub's signage. Later on, they even grabbed a few more American flags that didn't have any markings on them.

Casey Gomez3 said:If you ask me, the whole situation is just a mess, no matter how you look at it. It’s all just a complete sham.

Sure, if we're talking about nothing but die-hard fans. But let’s be honest: once it turns into an organized brawl, that "fan spirit" disappears. It isn't fan culture anymore; it's just a coordinated fight.
And what happens when you’ve got a crowd of idiots on stage ready to pelt you with stones? 😠Maybe once that whole mess finally clears out, we'll actually see a real scene. But honestly, is there any greater disgrace than someone refusing to take responsibility for their own actions? 🤦
Watch any video of those Russian "hooligan" street brawls or those fights out in some open field, and you’ll see the exact same thing: people on the ground getting absolutely stomped on. We're talking about guys literally kicking someone while they're down and jumping on their heads. Is that what passes for an "honorable" fight these days? If one guy beats the other so badly that he can't even stand up to rejoin the fray, fine—then he clearly won the fight. But that's one thing. This constant stomping and head-kicking? That’s just pathetic.

When dozens of people start brawling in a bar, it’s perfectly normal for at least one guy to swing a chair or a bottle. Once that first object starts flying, there’s no stopping it. What you actually need is a referee to step in, shove those guys into a corner to cool off, and have an assistant coach dry them down with a towel so that by the next round, nobody is throwing furniture anymore...

I’m not saying this is "good," I’m saying this is how it works. If you travel to someone else's city and they jump you while you're having a drink, chances are things are going to start flying. That’s how it’s always been and how it always will be. It isn't just an American thing.

Do you honestly think Englishmen don't throw chairs? That’s how fan violence has always functioned.

Trying to fight the Terror Machine is basically like bringing a stick to a tank fight. They jumped you in their own city with 200 trained thugs, and you're acting like, "Oh, they're hitting me, but I won't throw a bottle or a chair because I want to be honorable and end up in the hospital"? Give me a break... stop talking nonsense. I’d never want anyone to get hurt more than a few scratches after a riot, but be realistic—that’s just how these moments go. Do you even know what those guys look like? Or what their training is like? I'm not exaggerating when I say they train at the level of MMA fighters... so what, are 200 of us from the coast weighing maybe 165 pounds on average supposed to take them on head-on? That's pure stupidity. If they invite you to a field to fight, it's fine to decline if that's not your style, but if they ambush you in a plaza and you have bottles and chairs right there, of course you're going to fight back... No matter how much we dislike them, what they pulled off in Poznan deserves respect. I wasn't at that fight the night before, but anyone who was there firsthand knows the Bad Boys held their own brilliantly, while the Lechovac guys were hiding from them most other days... It’s easy to sit here and talk trash, but what they did to us on match day is a whole different story that I won't even touch, but in Poznan, the Bad Boys were hands down number one.

Look, your post was the last one on this thread, so I wasn't really thinking—I just wanted to respond to whatever it was you were quoting...

And if everyone wants to talk about a fair fight, getting jumped by them in a field isn't "fair" at all. That's exactly why weight classes exist in every combat sport. It’s not a level playing field when a 220-pound guy on steroids goes up against someone who weighs 150.

Jesse Campbell said:Boy, you clearly haven't been around many stadium brawls or whatever. You're a bit out of touch with how things actually work.

Dozens of people get into a brawl at a pub, and honestly, it’s only natural that someone’s gonna toss a chair or a beer bottle. Once one person starts swinging, things just spiral out of control. You really need a referee to step in, put those guys in a corner to cool off, and maybe have an assistant coach dry them down with a towel. That way, when they announce the next round, everyone stays in line.

I’m not trying to say what's right or wrong, I'm just saying how things actually go down. If you roll into someone else's hometown and start trouble while you're grabbing a beer at a pub, there's a good chance things are going to get physical. That's just the way it's always been, and that's how it'll stay. It isn't just an American thing, either.

You think Englishmen don't throw chairs? It’s always been that way during fan brawls.

You’ve got a point. To you, I’m just some kid who’s been in plenty of fights and maybe can't tell what's real anymore. I don't go looking for trouble, but if I stumble into it, I'm not going to just stand there and watch someone get maimed. I've taken my fair share of hits. My first post wasn't strictly about that fight in Poland, though. That video just triggered me to write about how the same thing happens here—how everything boils down to groups just blasting at each other from a distance with heavy artillery until someone actually gets hurt. I remember seeing how close things got during those riots in Chicago, and it makes me wonder when something similar, or even worse, will hit us. I'm just trying to give people a heads-up. Some will see it, and some won't.
Cheers.

I don't go looking for trouble, but if I end up in the same mess, I'm not just standing there—I'm not gonna watch someone get maimed either. Look, I can take a beating, I've had my share of bad days, but my first post wasn't strictly about those "fights" in Poland. That video just triggered me to point out how we have the exact same situation here. It all boils down to spraying an opposing group with heavy artillery from a few yards away until someone actually gets hurt. B barely made it out alive in Sarajevo, and the real question is when something similar—or worse—is going to hit us here. I'm just trying to sound the alarm. If you want to see it coming, fine. If not, whatever.
Cheers.

I get what you're saying. It's high time we stop using heavy artillery before someone loses their mind. Most people are losing interest; they tell me, "Why even bother going to a game if someone's gonna smash my skull with a brick or burn my face with a flare and ruin my life?" That goes for our scene here. We need to take responsibility for that. Sure, it's fine to get into a brutal scrap, take a punch, or absolutely flatten an opponent, but this other stuff? It makes us look like mindless thugs.
As for things abroad, if I'm walking through the Pyre or some city in Italy and I know Greeks are gonna come at me with Molotovs and knives, or some Italian's gonna swing a jumper cable at me... that's a whole different story when it comes to self-defense.
