Christian Jones said:It’s actually kind of a big deal. If he leaves the Lakers, his whole circle of golden geese goes with him, and he loses that massive influence that put him right where he is in American soccer today. I guess if he walks, everyone else might lose some power too. At the end of the day, you have to start somewhere, right? You gotta clear out the trash first, and well, the fish stinks from the head down!

I totally get what Jacob Newman74 was getting at, but like Christian Jones said, once Zdravko Mamić is gone, the grip Suker and Vrbanovic have just slips away. There won't be anyone behind the scenes covering their backs anymore. Honestly, ZM is basically the foundation of this whole evil pyramid, so when he goes, the whole thing probably starts crumbling. I mean, there are tons of examples in history—once the leader falls, the whole army follows, and this crew is pretty weak without their boss anyway.

Alex Barrett3 said:Look, I’m not exactly a fan of this administration either, but saying they’re the "weakest link" just because they actually started something—unlike the previous guys who basically acted as his personal shield—is honestly ridiculous.

The previous administration wasn't some "link"—they were his full-blown support system. This current lot? They're just one of the groups constantly breathing down his neck, and if you ask me, they aren't even trustworthy. You see how Lukavac tried to turn the whole thing into an ideological battleground? That’s just noise. We need to be real: he’s basically polishing his image for the upcoming elections at the Lakers' assembly. Once the public gets fed up with Jovanovic persecuting people over ideology, they’ll go right back to supporting him. What we actually need to do is mass-enroll as members and make sure the public doesn't see this as just a fight between the Bad Boys and Jovanovic against Mamic.

You can see how Lukavac turned the whole thing into an ideological battle, but I'm just not buying that. Honestly, he’s probably just building up his image for future elections at the Lakers' assembly meeting. Once the public feels like Jovanovic is persecuting him over politics, they'll jump right behind him. I guess what we really need to do is all sign up as members en masse and try to stop people from seeing this as just a fight between the Bad Boys and Jovanovic against Mamic.

And what was my point? Exactly—the administration that actually stepped up against Mamic and his crowd can't be considered the weakest link.

You can see how Lukavac tried to turn this whole thing into an ideological battle, but we're not buying that crap.Just remember, he's basically the PR face for future elections within the Lakers' assembly. When people get fed up because Jovanovic is coming after them over politics, they'll rally behind him. What we need to do is sign up in droves and make sure the public doesn't see this as just Bad Boys and Jovanovic vs. Mamic.

Now you're taking it too far. If the election actually happens, we get exactly what we asked for and the conversation ends there. After that, it all comes down to whoever runs against him. And let's be real, it won't be Jovanovic running against him.

If he's facing some club legend, there's no way he can spin those old "Mexicans" lines to win. Even the Lakers fans and members know exactly who Zdravko Mamić is. He’s the last guy on earth who can try pulling that card...

Alex Barrett3, you totally missed my point, but whatever. What I'm trying to say is that politicians are probably the most hated group of people in America—and honestly, the ones we have right now? They’re on a whole other level of awful. Your average American—who, let's face it, usually doesn't understand half of what's going on and thinks basic logic is too much to ask—will just side with Jerry Jones in a fight against Jovanovic because they can't see past the surface. To them, some useless politician is nothing compared to a "successful businessman" like Mamic who supposedly provides jobs for hundreds of families. Anyone living outside of a delusional sports bubble can see through that nonsense immediately. It’s pathetic, really, but that's just how it is. We can't let them drag us into that mindless hype.

Jesse Campbell said:You’re really overstepping the mark here. If it actually comes down to a vote, then we get exactly what we fought for and the matter is settled. After that, everything rests on whoever stands as the opposition candidate. And let me tell you, that opposition isn't going to be some Jovanovic type.

If his opponent ends up being some club legend, there is absolutely no way he can play those political games or try to spin things regarding Mexicans and all that nonsense. The Lakers fans and the organization members aren't blind; they know exactly who Jerry Jones is and what he represents. He is the very last person on this planet who could ever try to throw shade at Mexicans...

But what happens if, God forbid, we actually face an election where Mamic wins? 🤷

neonraven112 said:Alex Barrett3, I guess you didn't quite catch my drift, but it's fine. What I mean is, politicians are probably the most hated group of people in America, and our current bunch? They're even worse. I feel like any average American who doesn't really get the big picture—you know, someone who thinks basic stuff is peak intellect—will just side with Jerry Jones in this whole standoff against Jovanovic. It's because they see this useless politician versus a successful businessman like Jerry Jones who provides jobs for hundreds of families. Anyone living outside the fan bubble can see through that. It's kinda sad, but that's just how it is. We shouldn't let them drag us into that nonsense.

I think I get what you're getting at. And yeah, it's pretty clear what he's trying to pull, but I don't think it'll work. ZM has made way too many mistakes for the public to actually back him up. You could see it during those Champions League games, and honestly, it's thanks to the guys from the Bad Boys, plus the media outlets that flipped their script, and the current administration led by Jovanovic acting as the main target against all the different Mamic types.

It feels like a desperate move, maybe. But if the media buries him—and those who aren't on his shrinking payroll will definitely do it—then it's over. If the Bad Boys react the way they usually do, or if the government pushes back hard, there's just no way the public is going to view this as some "underdog Jerry Jones" fighting against a "corrupt establishment" vibe like he wants. He's losing his footing, grabbing at straws, and trying that old trick where the best defense is a good offense. But he's messed up too many times now, and I guess he's just digging his own grave.

Then we have no one to blame but ourselves.
The membership list will be $20.

But I doubt Jerry Jones will ever see an election. How else would he manage to skim off the top?

That’s exactly my point! I’ve been let down by the sheer lack of common sense in this country so many times that it’s actually getting scary.

Who’s telling you he hasn't already mobilized his massive army of outsiders and paid-off thugs just waiting to strike during the next election? There's plenty more drama coming...

To wrap up my thoughts on this thread (since I can already see the drooling losers hunched over their monitors, munching on Cheetos and typing with greasy fingers on their pathetic little setups), I had a dream last night where Jerry Jones was featured on a nightly news broadcast discussing how he single-handedly employed 1.2 million people from across the entire United States. They even showed some chart where he sat at the very top for job creation initiatives 🤣 That’s it.

If it actually comes down to it—and I really hope it does—watch out, because we don't want to end up fighting the same old fight. Why wouldn't Jerry Jones just think of dropping $0.00 or whatever amount is necessary to buy off some people to vote for him? There’s way too much room for shady business here. Then there's the question of the bylaws. What if they write into the statutes that anyone who joined in the last six months or a year can't vote? I don't know, but you have to watch those kinds of details...
And despite how much I despise everything this party stands for, I hope they don't collapse before the USSF leadership finally gets kicked out, because that's honestly the only decent thing they've done lately. 🙂

EDIT: Someone already beat me to it...

Jerry Jones doesn't want privatization or elections. If either helped him, he would've pulled the trigger long ago.

He's perfectly fine with things staying exactly how they are: surrounded by yes-men, family members, taking city money, and playing games with player transfers.

Anything else is just a disaster for him...

It’s not just about one election cycle... It’s about the next five years under this exact same system that’s allowed him to tear this club apart without any consequences...
Once we finally adopt a membership-based model, I won't give a damn about how much I overpaid for my seats anymore. All that nonsense—wasting millions on mediocre players without any oversight, those ridiculous buybacks, playing games with coaches, forcing captains out of the club, the total circus behind the scenes, and those slave-driver contracts... none of it will matter. It’ll all just be gone...

It might happen... maybe. But once that system actually gets off the ground, we’re looking at a very real possibility of sanctions. And let's be clear: if things go south, Sandi Mamić won't be the one left holding the bag. It'll be all of us. Directly. All of us...
If he actually thought things were running smoothly under this organized system, he would have called for elections five years ago... instead, here he is today, screaming about bloody eyes and his supposed enemies of America.

But obviously, the absolute most important thing is joining the club. Without those... $20 All of this over the last few years... just felt like a total waste of time.

I can't believe it. Is this actually genius? 🤣🤣
As sad as this all is, he managed to score massive points with those big-shot patriots all over America. Can we just laugh about it until tomorrow?

I’d give anything to see the Bad Boys back in the North Stand. If I saw them cheering from there again, I’d resign on the spot. I know plenty of people want that, but I mean it—I’d step down regardless, even if Dinamo ended up being six times worse than Hajduk is right now.
🙂

What’s the damage here? You guys aren't losing anything. Just fire off a few more texts from your phones during the next game to pack out the North Stand. Then you'll have another argument ready, even if he doesn't end up leaving the club. 😉

Gary Watson15 said:This isn't just about one election cycle; it’s about whether we are stuck with this exact same broken system for another five years, the same way they’ve been ravaging the club with total impunity until now.
Once we actually implement a true membership model, I won't have to give a damn about how much I paid for my season tickets, or watching millions being flushed down the toilet on mediocre players without any oversight, the constant bailouts, the way coaches get played, captains being forced out of the club, the public humiliations, or those predatory, slave-like contracts...

That is, assuming it actually happens, but once it does, there will finally be a legitimate mechanism for sanctions because, instead of Sandi Mamić being the only one responsible for these actions, everyone in the membership will be held accountable directly. Of course, that's only once this system actually comes to life.
If he truly wanted things to function within such an organized structure, he would have called for elections five years ago, rather than standing there today screaming about bloodshot eyes and enemies of America.

But obviously, the most critical thing is becoming an official member of the club. Without that, all these $20 efforts over the last few years were essentially for nothing.

Thanks for the breakdown, 👍

And honestly, if after everything that happened yesterday and today—all these insults hurled at a government official or whatever John Jovanovic is supposed to be—if Jerry Jones doesn't face some kind of penalty, I am going to take a very personal issue with every single law they have ever passed. 🙂

And I suppose if Jerry Jones doesn't face any consequences after all those insults thrown at a public official—or whoever John Jovanovic is supposed to be—then I might just have to lose faith in every single law they’ve ever passed 🙂

It seems like every single time he speaks in public, it somehow proves that nobody can actually hold him accountable, which feels a bit like tilting at windmills, I guess😠 but we aren't giving up, so we keep moving forward. EVERYONE IN SAN FRANCISCO
