Engine temps were already hitting the red zone before we even rolled out—so once those yellow lights flashed, I just cut the power. Then, after starting from the pits, I got hit with a penalty and topped it off with a puncture. It was basically a disaster from the jump. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. We didn't even have the full telemetry data during that overheating stretch, so we made the call to pull out early—better to save the car than risk a total meltdown for the next race.

Now that we're through the Canadian Grand Prix, that lead has climbed to 40 points (Fernando Alonso 164, Mark Webber 124).
