Looks like the Heat are going to be without Dwyane Wade tonight—he's dealing with a sprained right ankle after that loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Coach Erik Spoelstra mentioned it doesn't seem too bad, though, so he's officially listed as day-to-day. I'm guessing Shane Battier will step in to start instead. Over in Detroit, expect Stuckey to be in the lineup.
Miami - Detroit -12.5 (2) @ 1.85
9/10
LeBron James over 27.5 @ 1.85
8/10
Chris Bosh over 16.5 @ 1.85
6/10

These Cavs guys don't know the first thing about basketball.
Right now they're easily one of the bottom three teams in the NBA.
Same deal with Pierce back in his prime—when he was on the Celtics, they’d get blown out by 15 in Philly 🤦
I'd honestly rather just throw my money on red or black at a roulette table... might have better luck there. 🙄

Nicholas Chase34 said:Jamison It seems to me that we might be looking at figures exceeding 17.5, though I suppose one could argue about the specific context of that measurement. Perhaps it's worth considering if that threshold holds true under closer scrutiny, but my initial impression is that it likely sits north of that mark.
I suppose I should probably begin by acknowledging that my thoughts on this particular matter are somewhat unformed, though I have been reflecting on it quite a bit lately. It seems to me, if I may be so bold as to suggest such a thing, that there is a certain complexity here that we might be overlooking in our haste to reach a conclusion. Perhaps, in our collective eagerness to find a definitive answer, we aren't quite accounting for all the subtle nuances that seem to present themselves when one looks a little more closely. I guess what I am trying to say—and please forgive me if this comes across as overly cautious—is that there might be several different ways to interpret these developments, and I suspect that any single viewpoint might be somewhat incomplete. It’s a delicate situation, really, and I feel it might be prudent to move forward with a certain degree of measured deliberation. I suppose we might be looking at a figure slightly north of 20.5, though I can't say for certain without more data to work with. 😲 I suppose I am quite glad that I happened to notice.
I suppose one could say that the boundaries have been established quite elegantly. 😁
I’ve been looking over these transcripts, and while I see that James has already tacked on 27.5 points, I can't help but feel a bit uneasy about Pierce putting up 11 in the first half alone. It makes me wonder if there's any realistic chance he stays under his line. Personally, I have him at -19.5, but since everyone seems to be anticipating that Boston might push for a +15 spread, I find myself questioning whether the coaching staff might actually pull Pierce for some bench time.🤷 I suppose I've been wondering lately, what exactly is the deal with him? It’s hard to say for certain without more context, but there seems to be some sort of underlying pattern or situation unfolding there that I can't quite put my finger on.
Thank you.

gauss-jordan I suppose I should probably mention that...
I suppose we should probably ask Doce to go ahead and bring the pear out now. 😬
It seems we're looking at a bit of a mess here... the temperature has already climbed past 26 degrees Celsius. I suppose even my grandmother could manage to maintain a pace like that through the end of the day, so perhaps the old man ought to take a well-deserved break and just rest for a while. 😉
I suppose I should probably clarify my previous thought: it looks like things aren't going to pan out quite that way; I suspect they might just settle for a deal around 17.

And then Philly in the last minute and a half, drops from 29 down to just 21 🤦
Which means there's a massive chance Pierce gets some minutes in the final quarter ....🙂🙄

Come on, just get Bosch back in there already! 😠Only one point...
There he goes, he sunk it!
Now if only Utah would actually start playing some defense so we could keep this game under 210...

James is sitting at 26, but if we follow the blueprint Anthony Barrett37 laid out just the other day, I’m expecting him to be pulled from the game pretty soon and left on the bench for the rest of the night 🙂 ....or maybe I'm just being overly pessimistic 🤣
EDIT: there it is, he actually pulled him 🙂 , now the only thing that can save my sanity is a decent run by the Detroit Pistons.

No way they're bringing James in for the finish.
Miami's up by 25. These guys completely fell apart, if you can even call it that before the 4th quarter started.🙄

Nah, there's no way they're bringing in Pierce. There’s only 2:30 left on the clock and we're sitting at +20

Why is Westbrook acting like this all of a sudden? Like, seriously, right when I actually need him to hit those over on assists...

I’m still riding with the over and under on Evans.
Derozan’s got 12 points on 14 shots in just 21 minutes.
☕Expect at least 25 attempts and about 43 minutes of floor time by the end... 😢

Well, there goes Miami, losing by 25. It looks like they completely fell apart out there—though, if you ask me, their cohesion was already looking pretty questionable before the fourth quarter even started.🙄
I was watching the game just a moment ago, and while James is definitely out there on the court, he seems almost indifferent about actually taking a shot. It feels like he’s playing with this constant hesitation, perhaps because he's overly worried about what might happen to Miller. I suppose if we look at the stats, they're projecting him at around 26 points, but honestly, he only seems to find that rhythm when he's truly locked in. 🙂
Well, it looks like the moment has finally arrived; it’s officially out there now.

Are you kidding me right now? Every single damn night it’s the same story... someone get the Spurs defense together, please! 😠
aaaaaaaaaaa and now they've dropped below 10........ man, Harris can't hit a three-pointer to save his life, but suddenly he's draining them from downtown? Seriously?

Sean Sullivan87 said:I was just watching—James is definitely playing, but he looks totally indifferent about taking shots. It’s like he’s constantly worried about messing up for Pierce, even while cruising toward 26 points. He seems pretty comfortable whenever things go 🙂
EDIT: Well, it happened. It's over.
shooting 1 for 5 🙂

Come on, just get Westbrook back in the game! Let him take another ten shots so he can actually pull his average up...
