Philly proved once again last night why they’re easily one of my least favorite teams in the entire league. I honestly don't know if there's another franchise out there with this little actual talent.
Losing to a squad where their bench puts up maybe 8 points is just pathetic, but hey, I guess I had to experience that misery firsthand. Watching Gortat play kind of softened the blow, but man, it could've been way worse. Anyway, it's a new day—Happy Easter, everyone!!

Today is all about relaxation. I expect the Knicks and the Bulls to play at a casual pace. Derrick Rose is returning to the rotation, and Carmelo is looking to dominate the paint—either Noah or Boozer will be tasked with guarding him, though I highly doubt Deng will see any action at power forward.
My read is that the Bulls and Philly will both secure their wins, while Miami should cover the spread. Regardless, betting takes a backseat to the holiday today. Best of luck to you all :-)

Rose is finally heading back into the lineup tonight, which I think gives the Bulls a much-needed offensive spark after those recent hiccups. Honestly, they should be celebrating at MSG if this goes right. On the flip side, the Knicks are looking pretty shaky without Brunson and Adebayo—I mean, losing those two leaves them in a tough spot. They really need to shut down Melo if they want any chance here, but I'm not sweating it too much since they're arguably the toughest defensive squad in the league right now. Plus, there's some doubt about whether Chandler will even suit up.
As for Miami, they aren't exactly firing on all cylinders. They play fine, sure, but they aren't the juggernaut they were at the start of the season. Maybe they're just finding their rhythm for the playoffs? I don't know. I'm skeptical about them covering such a massive spread against a decent Pistons team; the Pistons could easily wreck their day once we hit playoff mode.

Cleveland is dealing with an injury bug, but I’m still leaning toward the Nets here simply because they've been pretty lackluster lately. I feel like they’ll be struggling to stay afloat through the end of the season, so even if they pull off this win, I highly doubt they cover the spread. There's also the possibility they might be tanking for the draft, which makes things unpredictable.
Boston has been playing lights out recently; they’ve climbed up to the 4th seed in the East and are currently battling Indiana for that 3rd spot. Meanwhile, Philly had a hot start but they've been sliding lately. If they keep this up, they might actually miss the playoffs entirely. They looked exhausted after that brutal mental and physical grind against Orlando yesterday, whereas the Celtics cruised through the Pacers.

I don't get why everyone's riding with Chicago today. This game is huge for the Bucks—they're fighting for their lives here. Plus, there's a massive question mark over Rose; that injury he's dealing with isn't exactly nothing, and he's got two days to recover. Chicago is playing at home, but honestly? I think the Knicks are walking away with the win.

Carmelo might actually dip below the 24 mark if he ends up being guarded by Noah 🤷

Could someone please walk me through the logic here? It’s just because the division winner can end up being as low as fourth in the conference, I guess.

a) Boozer is going to eat Carmelo alive on offense. If Chandler is tasked with guarding him, Noah is going to be having a field day on the glass.
b) Between the injuries to the Knicks' roster—Amare and Lin are sidelined—Melo is essentially their only offensive engine left, alongside some bench help from J.R. Smith and Novak. Given that the Bulls are built specifically to shut down primary scorers, and they possess arguably the best perimeter defense against corner threes (I'm no expert, but Novak seems like the most logical tactical choice here), the odds shift.
c) For the first time in quite a while, the Bulls are finally looking complete. Having Rip and Rose back in the rotation provides a significant momentum boost for Chicago.

There is no need to overthink this; New York is sitting at 7-0 at home under their new head coach. It’s going to be a tough matchup, certainly, but I am firmly giving the edge to the Bulls.

It’s pretty straightforward, really—Houston is grinding away for a better playoff seed, while Sacramento is basically sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference standings... they aren't even dreaming about the postseason at this point. Honestly, Houston has been looking solid lately, even with guys like Lowry and Martin sidelined... Dragic is running the point beautifully, Lee and Parsons are knocking down shots from deep, and you've got Scola, Camby, and Dalembert just doing their thing in the paint. I mean, they even managed to snag a win against the Lakers on the road, which is no small feat. Plus, Houston had a rest day, whereas Sacramento was out playing yesterday. To be honest, Sacramento's defense is kind of a disaster, and since Houston’s offense is one of the better units in the league, I’m leaning toward the Rockets at these odds 😁
