Taking a breather from the NBA action tomorrow since the sportsbooks aren't running my two tickets today

Granger under 20.5 @ 1.85
-Am I losing my mind taking him under given how he's been playing? Maybe! But if you've actually been paying attention to the last five games, Indiana has been dropping 103+ points, which inflates everything, right? Well, I'm calling it now—today is going to be a different story with much lower scoring. I'm seeing Indiana landing under 90, and that's where my edge is. In their three matchups this season, he hit 21 twice and then just 15 once. I really think the Celtics defense is going to shut him down
Love over 26.5 @ 1.85
-He’s had three days of rest, so he should be feeling fresh, but don't forget he's put up 65 total points in just two matchups against them. Plus, let's be real, they're still missing some massive pieces like Rubio, Beasley, and Ridnour
Henderson over 14.5 @ 1.85
-The guy dropped 15 on the road just the other day, and with two key guys like Maggette and DJ Augustin still sidelined, he should see plenty of extra shots. Just look at his home splits; he routinely clears this line even against heavy hitters like the Nuggets or the Celtics
Johnson over 17.5 @ 1.85
-He put up 16 in each of his last two outings after getting some decent rest, so it feels like it's finally time for him to step up and join Smith in the scoring department
Gordon over 18.5 @ 1.85
-After missing 45 games, he’s finally back and immediately reminded everyone why he’s a beast. He had 15 in his first game back from injury, and then last night he was absolutely unstoppable, dropping 31 on a tough Spurs squad while shooting lights out
Gasol P over 16.5 @ 1.85
-I'm checking the news and seeing Bryant is dealing with some leg issues and is a game-time decision, and Bynum hasn't really found his rhythm against the Suns in their last three meetings. With Session also being questionable, I think Pau might have to take over the reins and shoot more than he has in the last two games
Griffin under 20.5 @ 1.85
-Honestly, his recent play has been unrecognizable. He's gone way under this line three times in a row now, and in the two matchups this year, he only managed 14 points each time. Plus, it looks like his fuse is getting shorter lately because all he does is get into shouting matches with opponents

6/7 System Parlay, slightly higher stake than usual, Favorite😉

Garnett over 14.5 @ 1.85
-In his last seven road games, he's cleared this line six times. He's honestly much better on the road than at home. Besides, he played great in this arena last time, putting up 21 points
Bynum over 18.5 @ 1.85
-Look, I know I'm playing against the stats here, but I'm going purely on gut feeling because his form has been so solid lately. I'll admit though, in his last three against this specific team, he went under (17, 16, 12)
Ellis over 17.5 @ 1.85
-He's finally starting to show what we actually expect from him. He’s put up 55 points over the last two games, which is a massive jump from that 16.6 average he was stuck at during the first 12 games of the season
Lee over 21.5 @ 1.85
-With Ellis gone and Curry out with an injury, the guy has basically exploded. He's cleared this line seven games in a row now. Every now and then Klay Thompson joins in, and honestly, that's about the whole Warriors rotation right there
GSW vs Denver Total Over/Under 208.5 @ 1.85
-Like the guy mentioned earlier, this line feels a little high, even though their last matchup in Denver hit 210 points🤷

Stake ☕ SS

Good luck to everyone today! Hopefully our hands are a little luckier than they were the last few days😍

Is anyone actually making money on the NBA? I feel like everyone's just guessing. I've only managed to hit one out of five bets so far, I guess. 😁

As soon as I saw yesterday's spread, where one team was the heavy favorite by a massive margin (looks like OKC)
and there were TEN different picks sitting in that 1.10 to 1.50 range, I knew pretty much immediately it was going to be a disaster.
I probably would have doubled down on some unders—specifically looking at Josh Hart's scoring being low, similar to what we saw with Melo, or Denver vs. Golden State going under 210, or even GSW covering the spread. Especially since Dallas failed to hit even 99 points despite overtime. But I couldn't pull the trigger because my irrational belief in an OKC victory completely wrecked two of my tickets. Even the under 200 didn't land because of those 11 points scored in the final 16 seconds.🙂
I was actually planning on placing a last-minute recovery bet on Houston vs. LA with all the live overs, but I decided against it...

The slate today looks decent, though. I might have something here. :trljaruke:

1 - Philly to beat Orlando? No way.😁 I mean, it's Orlando.
2 - Indiana fails to beat Boston? They will. Honestly, the odds make it feel like a gift.
3 - Denver vs. GSW under 208? Over.

Indiana vs. Boston. A tough night ahead for the Celtics. They need to control the boards, find more depth, and tighten up that passing lane pressure. They also need a lockdown small forward and some solid rim protection for Brad Stevens to work with—plus, they've got to stop giving up easy buckets in transition.

Golden State vs. Denver. Denver is absolutely heating up right now, fighting tooth and nail for a playoff spot. Meanwhile, Golden State is playing without Steph Curry, so they’ve been experimenting heavily with rookies and testing out different rotations. Aside from Klay Thompson, it feels like they're still searching for a steady hand.

Granger over 19.5 points. The Celtics currently rank 19th in defensive efficiency against small forwards. Looking at his recent stretch, he's hit the over in about 10 of his last 11 games—provided they weren't total blowouts.

A quick take from the Pacers fans' corner of the forum.

Hey everyone, it's your resident board anthropologist checking in. You know what my favorite thing about Danny Granger is? The constant upward trajectory. He just keeps getting better.

Back when the season kicked off, critics were throwing a lot of shade at Danny:

1. Couldn't create his own look.
2. Struggled with ball handling.
3. Shot too much.
4. Disrupted the offensive rhythm.
5. Chased low-percentage looks.
6. Settled for jumpers instead of attacking the rim to get to the line.
7. Slacked off on the defensive end.

This season is a perfect example of why coaching is everything. Look, I won't pretend that those criticisms weren't valid a year ago. There was some truth to them. But fast forward one year of working under Coach Vogel, and look at the transformation.

1. Danny is creating his own shots now, whether it's attacking the lane or working the post.
2. His handles have leveled up big time. Did you catch that classic 2009-style spin move tonight? Where has that been hiding for the last two seasons?
3. He's fully embraced the "we all score" mentality. Honestly, there have been nights this year where I actually wanted him to shoot *more*. As we head toward the postseason, his volume has increased because he's carrying the load. I'm all for it, because:
4. His shots are almost always within the flow of the offense. It rarely feels forced anymore. Even looking at tonight—sure, the fourth quarter was a bit shaky on efficiency—but generally, he’s just playing within the system.
5. His shooting splits have been climbing all season. Part of that is just finding his rhythm, and part of it is simply being more selective with his shots.
6. He'll always be a shooter at heart, but the man has been relentless about driving to the hoop and hunting for fouls.
7. Defense? He’s never going to be a lockdown perimeter stopper like Paul George, and yeah, Kevin Durant went scorched earth on him tonight with a 40-piece. But the hustle is real. He buys into the scheme and isn't afraid to put his body on the line. How many times has he dove for a loose ball in the last fortnight? Is there any player on this roster with more heart when it comes to saving a possession?

Season after season, game after game, Danny is turning his liabilities into assets.

How can you not pull for a guy like this?

My picks for today? I’m looking at Lee and Love over, plus Phoenix-Lakers under—but honestly, considering what I called last night...🤣 2/5😁
Gordon over is a lock, but of course, FanDuel doesn't even have him listed, along with half the other stuff I want.🙂

Dude, maybe read through the thread first. You might actually find out why everyone was betting on Memphis to cover last night.

What are you thinking about playing today, Memphis vs. Dallas?

Man, last night was a total roller coaster. Both teams looked completely jittery after playing such brutal games right before this one. I’ve no clue what’s going on with the injury situation regarding T-Mac and those guys over in Dallas, but with Kidd definitely sidelined, Dallas just couldn't close it out. They blew a game they had in the bag, leaving Utah sitting at just two wins. It’s funny how these guys actually step up their game when things get toughest—they proved that last year, and now we're hitting that crucial stretch where the playoff race is being decided. Meanwhile, Memphis grabbed a huge win last night and momentum is clearly shifting. After seeing two massive games back-to-back, it’s tough to see anyone covering the spread; if I were forced to call it, I’d take the 3.5 on the away team, but honestly, I'm passing.

Well, damn. I thought he’d be playing in Minnesota, but turns out the Hornets are basically the second worst home crowd in the league anyway.

I’m probably gonna put down a moderate stake on Gortat in Germany at under 17.5. Honestly, 17.5 feels a bit high—I'd say 15.5 is more realistic given he's facing one of the top center duos in the league. Just really hoping Baynum doesn't end up suspended tonight after that ejection last night. Last time they played in Los Angeles, that Polish guy absolutely shredded the Lakers' centers for about 21 points, so maybe they actually learned something.
I'm thinking the same thing—3.5 on the Hornets looks super tempting. What Stanley is offering is hard to pass up, especially since everyone else has them at 2.5. Minnesota is honestly starting to lose their grip on the game after Ruby's injury, and man, what a mess of a team. One player alone chucked 15 shots in the first quarter against the Warriors.

Mark Williams15 said:Well, damn... I guess playing in Minnesota was a bad call—the Hornets are easily one of the worst home teams in the league right now.

Look, the Hornets are holding onto Minnesota's pick this year, and they practically need to take them down if they want to keep them out of the playoffs...
They managed to scrape together a 95-89 win at home earlier this season without half their rotation, and now Gordon is back—absolutely fired up, looking to prove to the rest of the NBA that he’s still got it. At the same time, you have to assume the Hornets players are itching to show Gordon just how much stronger they are with him around, hoping to convince him to stick with the squad for the long haul...
Personally, being a Hornets fan, I’m pulling for the win. Honestly, this matchup against the Lakers feels like the most critical game of the season—mostly because of Gordon and whether or not he decides to stay. 🙂
I'm also expecting Gordon to drop more than 25.

Why did everyone at State Street jump on Lee during that Dirk-Lee matchup?!😲
Personally, I think his over is a much better bet against Denver—they don't defend the paint particularly well—compared to facing someone like Memphis.🤷

Honestly, I think his over is way more likely playing at home against a Nuggets team that can't guard the paint to save their lives, rather than facing someone like Memphis. 🤷

They're just trying to bait you into betting on Dirk. 🙂

Parlay #1
Indiana vs. Boston: Celtics Double Chance (X2) @ 1.80
Philadelphia Moneyline @ 1.55

Total Odds: @ 2.79
Boston’s looking sharp—they took down the Heat just a few days ago. They don't really play much differently at home than they do on the road, I guess. Today they're facing Indiana, and since both these squads are sitting pretty at 3rd and 4th in the East, this matchup is huge. I'm leaning toward a Boston win, mostly because Indiana is on a back-to-back schedule after grinding through a tough game against OKC yesterday.
Philly is an absolute beast at home, especially on the defensive end. But honestly, the bigger reason for this pick is what's happening in Orlando. They've already dropped five games, and word is the locker room vibe is pretty toxic right now because Hoard is reportedly pushing for Stan to move on.
Parlay #2
Golden State vs. Denver: Under 208.5 @ 1.85
DK Nowitzki Over Points (Lee 2) @ 2.20

Total Odds: @ 4.07
So, yesterday Lee went up against Aldridge and it was a nail-biter, 26-25, but he still put up a solid performance going 10-of-16 from the field. I’m expecting even more attempts tonight since Denver’s defense is kind of a sieve. He might get more trips to the free-throw line too, especially if he's being guarded by someone like naive Javale. Dirk is playing out of his mind, but he's running into a brick wall tonight against one of the best defensive units out there, specifically in the paint where you've got Gasol and Zach holding it down.

Even though I think Lee finds his scoring rhythm, I don't see this game blowing past 208. Without Ellis and Curry in the mix, I doubt anyone can really carry the load alongside Lee.

Parlay #3
Griffin Over 20.5 @ 1.85
Milwaukee vs. Portland: Bucks Moneyline @ 1.50

Total Odds: @ 2.7750
Aside from the fact that everyone and their mother knows the Kings have one of the worst defenses in the league—especially letting everything slide through the paint like the Titanic—there's another angle here. Cousins actually said something about Blake recently: "He's been getting treated this way for two seasons now. They treat him like a little kid because his performances sell tickets. The refs and the league office basically let him get away with whatever he wants. He's become the league's mascot." So, yeah, expect Blake to be extra fired up tonight.
Milwaukee is locked in a dogfight with the Knicks for that final Eastern Conference playoff spot. They're hosting Portland, who is struggling big time after a few trades, and they're on a back-to-back too—exhausted after that overtime thriller in Texas yesterday. The Bucks are tough at home and they've got plenty of motivation. I'm calling it: Milwaukee takes this one.
