Has anyone here actually had surgery with Dr. Glumicic? I know he’s worked on quite a few celebrities, so I was wondering if any "regular folks" have gone through the process with him? Can anyone share their experience?

Well, I had my nose done by Glumicic back at the start of 2011—and honestly, looking back, it was one of the worst calls I've ever made.

My nose was actually pretty decent from an aesthetic standpoint—it just needed a tiny bit of tweaking along with fixing some functional issues. But instead of what we discussed, the doctor gave me a completely different nose! It ended up being way uglier than my natural one, and you could tell immediately it had been operated on—it totally changed my whole facial expression. To make matters worse, he didn't even touch the deviation or the stuff that actually needed fixing. I was in total shock for quite a while after.

The thing is, Glumicic seems to just use the exact same template for everyone's nose, which—in my opinion—is definitely not what you want in a high-quality surgeon.

I recently went back under the knife with Dr. Zambelli, and I am so much happier now! My breathing is great, and more importantly, my nose finally looks normal and natural again—it doesn't scream for attention anymore.

Thanks, Drew Long2.🙂

What exactly do they do over at Maxillofacial for nose corrections? I’m asking because I was just at the ENT clinic up on the 7th floor in Dubrava, and honestly, I’m feeling pretty miserable and dissatisfied with the whole experience. I’m at a complete loss as to what my next move should be.🤷

Susan Cooper23 said:Zambelli is up in San Francisco. I ended up paying 2,200 bucks for my procedure. Honestly, she’s the one who really saved my nose after Glumicic had pretty much made a mess of things. Zambelli. 👍

Thanks, but I’m based in Chicago, so making that trip just isn't feasible with my work schedule. I appreciate the thought, though!😢

A semi-profile, one way to look at it.
[Link to image]
The second profile—an even bigger disaster, honestly.
I can't quite make out the details in that link you shared. It looks like an image hosting site, but the file itself isn't loading properly on my end. If you were trying to show me something specific—maybe a photo related to what we were discussing—you might want to try uploading it again or sharing a different link. Sometimes these old image hosts can be a bit finicky with permissions or broken paths. Let me know what it was supposed to be!

profile
I can't see the image you've linked. If you want me to take a look at it or talk about what's in it, could you please upload the file directly or describe it? Once I have the details, I'll be happy to give you my thoughts.

It honestly drives me crazy—the sheer scale of it all, especially when you look at that second half of the profile.😢
Now, I’m curious—has anyone else gone through something similar? And more importantly, how did it all turn out in the end?

The profile is genuinely impressive—it’s phenomenal, really. But honestly, you should see the profiles I deal with. They're a total mess; one half looks like a masterpiece, and the other side is an absolute disaster. It's pure chaos.🙂🙂

slyjackal14 said:I’m heading in for surgery this Monday. It’s not really nerves, just a bit of anticipation. I actually feel pretty confident about my surgeon; he walked me through the whole plan, promising he wouldn't just give me a tiny nose, but rather something that actually fits my face. He mentioned narrowing things slightly, smoothing out the bumps, and giving the tip a little lift—all while emphasizing he won't make me look like Blanka Vlašić. 🙂
Does anyone here know the typical drill? Like, once I show up, what's the protocol? Do I need to wear specific clothes, or is it standard hospital gear? Also, how quickly will I be lucid after the procedure? I have a general idea since I have a connection at the hospital and a nurse gave me the rundown on post-op care—keeping my head elevated, avoiding bending over, watching out for impacts, and expecting some bruising—but if anyone has first-hand experience, I’d love to hear the specifics.

Which hospital are you going to, and which doctor are you seeing? Is it through an insurance referral or private? Please let me know!

Ugh, I honestly have no idea what to do here. 😢 Has anyone else had surgery with Dr. Glusac? If so, can you tell me how many days it took before you felt okay going outside? I'm worried about any potential swelling or issues.
P.S. This is my new profile; something went wrong with my old one. 😢 I used to be Brenda Green10.

Honey, three people already answered your question on the main page.
But fine, I’ll say it again... It really depends on what procedure you're getting and just what kind of skin you have. Generally speaking, people with paler complexions tend to bruise more easily than those with darker skin. Though, that’s not a hard and fast rule...
Basically... bruising usually sticks around for about 7 to 15 days. You can pretty much hide the worst of it with makeup during those last few days.
Just think about how long it takes for a regular bruise to heal. All the stages—from red to purple, to blue, then green, and finally yellow... it takes time. Bruising works the exact same way. The first day or two after surgery are the absolute worst because everything swells up, and then it slowly starts to subside.
Personally, I was out in public with a splint and tape on my nose within the first week, and honestly, I didn't give a damn what people thought. 😁 Oh, and yeah... you’ll be wearing that splint and tape for about 7 days, so regardless of the bruising, you aren't exactly going to look "normal" right away. 🙂

If you want to speed up the healing process... use cold compresses (you can grab some at CVS or Walgreens for like five bucks) and apply a good cream. I used Heparin cream—you can pick it up at any pharmacy (it was over-the-counter a year and a half ago, not sure if that's still the case).

Look, the bruising is just a side effect. Focus on the actual surgery. Think long and hard about what you actually want and stick to your guns. Glusac is a bit of an odd character... Lately, I’ve been getting the feeling that he keeps pushing everyone toward the exact same nose shape, regardless of their natural features. Don't let him talk circles around you with that "I'm the best and I know everything" attitude. At the end of the day, you're paying him serious money for this, and you're the one who calls the shots. Use your head!

Use your head!

Look, I thought about what I wanted, and I said it clearly: I wanted a feminine nose like Michael Jackson's because apparently, that's his style (he basically mumbled something and won't admit it). And don't even get me started on the function. He tried the same thing with me—acting like he's the only expert and everyone else is amateur hour. Then I realized he tells the exact same stories to everyone, the same people, the same script! Every time something goes wrong, he blames someone else. In my case, he'll definitely try to blame me. But I know what happened before the surgery. I have my CT scan right here, and it clearly shows zero signs of bone destruction. My deviation was minor—it's literally written there (even though he claims it was massive). He operated on perfectly healthy sinuses, so he can forget that nonsense about everything going wrong because of some crazy fracture that neither I nor anyone else remembers. It was so bad, it wasn't even visible on the scan. He actually managed to convince me until I opened my eyes and saw all these other women posting about having the exact same issues. Ladies, watch out. I wish someone had warned me. I saw the red flags too late, after a few years of being totally thrilled, only to see more and more people who were once obsessed with him suddenly losing interest for these same reasons.

From everything I’ve been reading on this forum—and believe me, I’ve read a ton of it—it seems like there isn't a single doctor out there who hasn't completely messed up someone's nose. :S So, honestly, maybe my best bet is to just leave things alone and do nothing at all.

Look, if you aren't having breathing issues and your nose isn't actually messed up, my advice is to skip it. Nose surgery is no joke.

So, my sister just turned 16 and she is absolutely DESPERATE to get a nose job. Her nose is—honestly—pretty rough; it's got this huge bump and just kind of hangs there :S Obviously, our parents aren't even willing to hear about it, but it's definitely fixable. She wants the surgery because she feels like it totally ruins her face. I mean, she’s actually got great eyes, lips, teeth—everything—but then there's just this one thing sticking out. Her main issue right now is the age limit part—she’s not sure if a minor can actually go through with it, and she's wondering if there are any clinics where she could get it done without having to drop a massive amount of cash. We're both looking for some info. 🙂

She's way too young for surgery. The nose keeps forming until you're about 21. All she can really do right now is fix the top part, both for breathing and looks.

Aha, but check this out—I was scrolling through the Westgate site and saw this: 'Key factors to discuss with your surgeon before the procedure include skin type and age. Before deciding on nose surgery, younger patients need to reach full maturity, which usually means around 15 or 16 years old... Unless, of course, breathing is seriously impaired.'
That's why I'm asking. :O

I heard the cutoff is actually 18 to 21 just to be safe. Unless you can't breathe properly, then you do it earlier, but otherwise, it's best to wait until after 21.

I’ve been lurking on this forum for about a year now, weighing my options... whether to pull the trigger on nose surgery or just let it be. If I go through with it, where should I go? My nose is long, has a bump, and whenever I laugh, the tip drops down—it honestly feels like it’s growing bigger every single year. Well, here I am; tomorrow marks exactly two weeks since my procedure with Tony, and I am beyond thrilled with the results. 🙂 The absolute worst part? Definitely those nasal tampons. Local anesthesia was totally fine. As for the pain before and after the surgery—none at all, I didn't even have to take a single pill. On day 6, I was going crazy just pacing around my apartment, so I ended up heading out to Westgate with my sister for some shopping—wearing my splint and everything. 🙂 ooo, I really needed that 🙂 On day 7, I finally took the splint off, and it felt like nothing had even happened—I was out the door immediately. I had a tiny bruise, maybe 4-5 mm, right under one eye, but I just covered it with concealer and called it a day. It was so worth it 🙂 Just a side note: it was incredibly important to me that I "clicked" with the doctor right away. And we did; within the first thirty minutes of talking, I knew he was the only one who would be operating on me. I wasn't wrong. So, please, trust your gut instinct. 🙂 Cheers...

I’ve been scrolling through your experiences for a while now trying to keep my cool, but honestly, the closer we get to the date, the more the anxiety kicks in. I'm scheduled for a septoplasty at Mercury Hospital with Dr. Bacic. From what I understand, they aren't going to touch anything else—just straighten out the septum so I can actually breathe normally.
So—does anyone have any firsthand experience with him or the hospital?
Based on everything I've read, I'll be packing some chocolate milk and snacks, and I'm trying not to freak out when the bleeding starts... any other advice?

I'm looking for info on that doctor too.

Hey there! Honestly, I’d tell her to just hang tight for a little while longer. I’m 16 too and I actually went through with nose surgery, and I'm super unhappy with how it turned out.😢 If she does decide to pull the trigger, she needs to do her homework and research everything properly—don't be reckless like I was -.- Otherwise, yeah, girls 16 and up can get it done, but they definitely need parental consent first! Peace

Quick question for rapidfalcon39: did your surgery involve reducing the tip of your nose at all, or was it just about smoothing out that hump like you mentioned? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what did it end up costing you? Thanks for the help.

Do you happen to have a photo of what your nose looks like now? I'm dealing with a similar issue, so I'm curious about his work. If you could send me a PM, that would be great. 🙏

thanks

It covered narrowing the nostrils, smoothing out the hump, and shortening the nose overall. The total came to 9 grand—paid in cash.

I went to see Gusac for a consultation myself, and I got the exact same routine. He knows everything, he's the best... An hour of him just talking about himself, it's honestly terrifying! Anyway, I crossed him off my list completely, and I think Tony is my next stop. G. kept bringing up my sinuses to me too, acting totally convinced there was a major issue. Just like him, nobody else is any good, he thinks he's God! Seriously, hats off to anyone who actually decides to choose him after going through that kind of lobotomy.

$3.00? It’s way cheaper than the other options out there... Glusac is $5.00.
