Here’s the number: 01 3712036. They hold exams on Fridays, and from what I gather, he is truly the best in the business for this kind of thing, by the Holy Spirit. He's a younger doctor, so he's approachable—you can ask him just about anything.

Regardless, I think it would be wise to make the trip one day to meet with the doctor in person for an exam and a real conversation. I’d probably start by calling ahead to see when they could squeeze me in for that consultation, and just go from there...

Greetings, everyone! 🙂
It has been a very long time since my last update.
By November, it will mark exactly one year since my surgery.
For those of you who have been following my journey, you already know the absolute nightmare I’ve endured both during and after this procedure.
(I have no desire to recount the whole ordeal, so if anyone is curious about the specifics, please just go back and read my previous posts.)
The bottom line is this: I kept hoping that, with enough time, my nose would settle and look better. It did NOT.
When I compare my old photos to how I look now, it isn't just a case of a surgeon doing a catastrophic job—it is an utter disaster!
I used to be unhappy because my nose was fleshy and wide, but now, on top of being shorter, it looks like a "boxer's nose."
To make matters worse, he tilted it, leaving me with a "charming" indentation deep enough to fit a fingertip into.
I have told myself a thousand times: why on earth did I ever agree to this?
I didn't have the budget at the time (and honestly, I don't have it now since I lost my job in the meantime), so I went to Mercury. There, I was treated like nothing more than a product on a conveyor belt.
And just like that, I ended up as defective merchandise.
So, there it is... just a little venting.

Anyway, Betty Edwards22, I am asking you: could you please recommend a specialist I should see for a consultation at a major hospital to get a professional opinion on this catastrophe and whether a revision is even possible?
As for the revision itself, I am terrified of the potential consequences, yet at the same time, I can't bear to look at myself in the mirror like this. 😢((

Thank you so much for any help. To the rest of you, I strongly urge you to do your research thoroughly before you let anyone touch you with a scalpel!

GOOD LUCK!

Hey, I was just there three weeks ago... You've already covered most of the bases on the other thread, but if you have any more questions, I'm around. 🙂

Hey everyone, I asked this before but didn't get an answer, and my surgery date is getting scary close 😲 so if anyone here has had septorhinoplasty done at the hospital (specifically with Dr. Vagić), please speak up! 😁 Also, how does the hospital admission work? They didn't really explain anything when I booked the surgery, and I'm assuming it's the day before, but I have no clue how the process actually works 🤷

They didn't really give me much info when I booked the surgery, and I'm assuming it happens the day before, though I don't actually know the protocol. 🤷

Usually, you head in the early morning the day before for check-in and admission. Once you're settled, you just wait to be seen by the anesthesiologist and a junior attending physician. After that, depending on whether you're part of the outpatient program, they might let you head home.
He's a sharp, very skilled surgeon.

Ladies, I have my first appointment scheduled with Dr. Raguž on September 12th.
Can anyone walk me through what I actually need to bring? Specifically, I have the referral for a full examination, but should I be prepping anything else? I haven't gone out and grabbed any lab results yet.
Also, how does the actual exam go? Like, what’s the standard procedure once I'm in the room?

We don't even need the results right now for the evening operation.
That's really all there is to it.

Fine then, because I honestly have no idea how she’d even manage to prove all of that at this stage... 😁 what kind of exam are we talking about? What exactly does it entail? haha, such loaded questions... 🤣

Girls, I could really use some advice 🙂 So, a couple of days ago, I went in for a nose surgery consultation with Dr. Zambelli in Cleveland. The whole thing lasted maybe fifteen minutes. He showed me a few photos of people with issues similar to mine, and then he examined my nose to check my breathing and all that sort of thing. His recommendation was that he would only operate on the tip of my nose—he wouldn't touch anything else—and he’d fix my breathing since there's some thickening on both sides. Now, breathing isn't actually a major issue for me; my primary concern is purely aesthetic, though I suppose if I'm going under the knife, it might as well be fixed while we're at it. However, I don't think just fixing the tip is enough; I feel like my nose is a bit too high, so I'd actually prefer if the bridge were lowered slightly. Because of that, I'm thinking about seeking a second opinion, perhaps from Glumičić, just to see what his take would be. Has anyone here had experience specifically with tip rhinoplasty? He mentioned that after that type of procedure, I probably wouldn't see much bruising, which I found interesting. At the end of the appointment, he asked if I had any more questions, but he seemed quite rushed because he already had a patient waiting in the operating room. I wouldn't say I was totally blown away by the consultation, even though I certainly don't doubt his expertise. Still, I feel like I should probably get one more opinion, so what do you all think? And in case anyone is curious about the costs, $83 for the consultation, and he quoted me $2,200 for the surgery (which I assume is a standard flat rate for everyone). Thanks so much, ladies! 🙂

It’s such a pain to type this all out—but here it is: honestly, I think you definitely need a second opinion. This isn't like buying a pair of sandals; being totally informed and feeling 100% sure about your choice actually matters here.

Please, if anyone knows someone who has used a silicone button or found any other way to fix a septal perforation (that hole in the septum), DM me ASAP!!! Also, if you know how fast it grows, that would be huge. It’s been 8 months since my surgery and it has grown quite a bit. Is there any way to stop it from growing too fast? It is literally eating through my cartilage and mucosa, and breathing feels absolutely terrible. Thanks.

Betty Thompson45 said:Hi everyone.

I’m getting ready for my second nose job, and I’m really hoping this time goes more successfully. I was wondering if any of you have ever gone through a revision surgery?
The doctor who messed up my nose is basically dodging any responsibility by making excuses. He tells me I have thick skin, and that he can't make it smaller because of my body type (5'7"/110 lbs), and that it'll take three years for everything to settle down. 🙂

I definitely don't want to go back to him, so I was wondering who you might recommend for a secondary rhinoplasty? Personally, I'm leaning towards Glumičić because I really love those small, narrow noses.😍

Also, I'm curious—is there any hope that the doctor who "fixed" my nose will offer to refund at least part of my money, or at least admit that he ruined it?

I've been reading this forum thread for quite a while now...
I felt like I had to jump in because I relate so much to Betty Thompson45, and I see plenty of other women here who had surgery with Dr. Glušac or others, so I wanted to start a discussion...

My septorhinoplasty was about a year and a half ago. I still can't breathe through one nostril just like before, but now the nose looks bigger and wider. There's a dent/depression in the middle, and the tip is huge—it looks like a ball. It's ironic because the exact tip I wanted to beautify is now incredibly thick, much like what Betty Thompson45 described.
😢...I'll share photos once I feel brave enough.🙂))

I keep emailing the doctor, and I was actually back for a follow-up recently where he used some local instruments to poke at something so I could breathe—he did it without any documentation, but it didn't help... I still can't breathe.
The doctor blames the look of my nose after surgery on my "thick skin" and claims it takes three years for everything to fall into place. I've been hearing that for a year now. I've been massaging the tip according to his instructions, but it seems useless... I'm honestly scared about what comes next and what I should even do.

So, I’ve been kicking this rhinoplasty idea around in my head for years now, but I could never quite pull the trigger. Now, though, I’m actually starting to put some real money aside.🙂 I’ve been scrolling through all your posts—the glowing success stories and the horror tales alike—and honestly, it reminds me of going to the hair salon. One stylist can absolutely wreck your hair, while another works wonders for a friend. Only, we aren't talking about a bad haircut here; a nose is a much more permanent deal. I’ll admit, there’s a bit of fear involved, but right now, my main focus is the bottom line. If anyone wants to dive into a discussion specifically about the cost, I'm all ears. Generally speaking, what are we looking at for a nose job? I realize the price tag depends on a million different variables, but does anyone have a ballpark figure for a standard procedure—something just to make the nose slightly smaller? Thanks.🙂

Whoa, that's a lot of money. Does that price apply to all surgeons there, or does it vary? Also, can you pay in installments, or is it strictly cash? Thanks.🙂

My septorhinoplasty was about a year and a half ago. I still can't breathe through one nostril just like before, but now my nose looks even larger and wider. There's a dent right in the middle, it's sunken, and the tip is absolutely massive—it looks like a ball. Seriously, the very tip I wanted to beautify is just incredibly thick, much like what Betty Thompson45 described.

I keep emailing the doctor and I was back for a check-up recently where he used some local instrument to poke at something so I could breathe, and he did it without any documentation, but whatever... I still can't breathe.

I've been massaging the tip according to his instructions, but it's useless... nothing works. I'm honestly terrified about what comes next. What am I supposed to do...

Did he offer you a revision? I went to see an ENT specialist over at a major hospital in Washington, D.C., and he told me straight up that the nose is a total disaster. He said that after a year, the true state of the nose is visible and there's no point waiting another eighteen months because absolutely nothing is going to change. It's been 19 months since my surgery and my nose is catastrophic. The tip is a bulb, the nasal bones are crooked, and there's a pit at the bridge... I'd be happiest if I could just get my money back because I don't want him touching my nose ever again.
Could you please send me some photos of your nose via DM?

stormyorca58 said:Whoa, that's a massive amount of love right there... but seriously, does that price tag apply to every surgeon in the building, or does it fluctuate depending on who you're seeing? Like, does the cost change based on their experience? And can I actually set up a payment plan, or am I looking at straight cash upfront? Thanks...🙂

Just did a little digging through this thread... check out stuff like this:

I don't even know where to start with this one... just total chaos. Honestly, it’s like watching a slow-motion train wreck in real time. You think you've seen it all, right? Wrong. Always wrong. It's just... yeah. Anyway... says:
So, this is basically how Dr. Tončić shot back at my email...

So, I was looking into what you'd actually have to cough up for a nose job... and man, those prices? They can get pretty wild depending on where you go... if you're looking at a top-tier surgeon in a place like Beverly Hills or even just a solid clinic in NYC, you're easily looking at anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000... sometimes way more if you want the absolute best... it really depends on how much work needs doing and what kind of results you're chasing... honestly, it’s a lot of dough... $3667 So, if you're looking to pay by card—think Mercury, Master, Visa, Diners Club, or American Express—you can spread those costs out over a few monthly installments, anywhere from 2 to 12 months. Or, if you’re leaning on consumer credit, you can stretch it out even further, maybe 2 to 60 installments depending on which card you've got in your wallet... But, if you decide to just settle up with cash, the price is... $3333Look, if you're paying cash, we can definitely knock a decent chunk off the total... seriously, we offer a pretty significant discount for cash payments. And hey, if you decide to go ahead with both the aesthetic stuff and the functional side—you know, like fixing that deviated septum—the whole package deal would come out to... $4400 So, about that card payment thing... what's the deal? $4000 So, about that cash-only thing...

😉

Oh, wait... there’s this site too... Check out this site for deals...

So, which clinic was it again? The one from recently... Check out this clinic site... http://poliklinika-leptir.com... looks like they might have some interesting stuff going on over there... maybe worth a look if you're in the neighborhood... anyway... just saying... Vinko Borčić was offering a massive discount on rhinoplasty... honestly, might be worth reaching out to them just to see if there’s still some wiggle room on the price... maybe... 😉

It seems to me that there is quite a bit more than what we initially perceived, I suppose. 🙂 Costs tend to vary quite a bit depending on which surgeon you choose, I suppose. Generally, you're looking at somewhere between $1,500 and $2,500, though some doctors might offer installment plans. For instance, if you go with Dr. Zambelli, you’d likely pay $2,200 in cash on the day of the procedure—though that would be based on whatever the exchange rate happens to be at that moment.

I really need some help here—I had my mask removed 13 days ago... and honestly, I’m just not happy with how things look right now. Does the nose continue to change shape significantly after this? How much more shifting should I expect, and which parts of the nose typically deal with the most swelling? When am I actually going to see the final result, or is this basically it? Thanks so much for any insight you guys can give me...

ps. This was specifically for removing a hump. The bridge looks straight now, but it feels like the tip is drooping way too much—either the columella is still swollen or it’s just hanging low! It looks so long and huge right now, which is nothing like how it used to look; I only ever had the hump to deal with before. I am seriously freaking out here—is this just massive swelling, or is the damage already done???

I find it hard to believe anyone would go through with a rhinoplasty without knowing that the whole process of the nose settling into its final shape takes months—sometimes even up to a year? Did your surgeon seriously not mention that to you?

Take some photos from the front, three-quarters, and profile; then do it again in a month, and again at three months, and you'll start seeing the changes clearly
